Sorry about personal comments. I think that your words make sense. Hope more m3800 owners give their reviews soon and XPS 15 9530 owners' as well.

    Quick update:
I received mine this morning in Germany. (delivery estimate was dec4th, so it came early...)
So far all I can say is that it's a beautiful machine!
    No noise, no wireless issue.
I haven't used the trackpad and the touchscreen all that much, since I prefer a mouse, so I can't really comment on that.
I really like the keyboard too (coming from a Thinkpad W510)

Installed classic shell to avoid the Metro-madness.

    Works like a charm!

P.S. All that's needed now is HiDPI support for all the programs.
    Photoshop is tiny.
Chrome looks good after I put the hidpi command flag in.

My original estimated delivery date is 3 Dec 2013 but it's been delayed. The new delivery date is now 11 Dec 2013. I don't know why this happened.

I'm days away from buying the M3800, my first new laptop. I'm still trying to convince myself to spend the money. It'll replace my M4400 that I brought second hand 5 years ago. Does any one have a 3Dmark 06 score that I can compare to my 3.06 GHz Dual core, Quadro M770 combo. Photoshop is my main software. Thanks

Umm, 3DMark 06? That's waaay old and arguably not a good benchmark for modern cards anymore as a result. But Post #412 has 3DMark 11 scores.

Yes I have read the whole thread over the last few months but thank you for the reference. 3Dmark 06 is because my system is waaay old. My graphics card is a 500Mb tiddler from yester year. I use Notebookcheck.net for reviews as for one thing they delve into screen quality reasonably well and I can cross reference quickly as % of AdobeRGB is something I value. I read their reviews of the M6800 and M4800 the day they where posted so I have a rough idea of 3Dmark 06 scores as they still use them. But I can't wait any longer for them to review the M3800. I have all of the information that would offer now accept 3Dmark 06 scores.

It should be slightly better than the m4700. The k1100m is supposed to be a bit better than the k2000m that was in that computer.

I don't know why you care to compare it directly to your current computer. It is going to be way way faster. Compare it to the other computers that you might want to replace it with.
