    Hello all,

Anyone here has any idea where to source a smaller 61WH battery? Dell isn't showing one available and I can't find it from third party battery suppliers on line.

    TIA

Search for part numbers H76MV and T0TRM.

Surprised that no one has commented yet on the new Intel CPU announcement -- they announced a bunch of 47W quad-core Broadwell processors today, but no 37W quad core to replace the i7-4710HQ/4712HQ.

So no successor to the M3800 possible yet! It's possible that such a processor will still be announced -- probably not for another month or two -- but it sounds more likely models based on this kind of processor will have to wait for Sky Lake. Bummer!

Do you know why Dell isn't selling/supporting these units? Seems odd they'd just turn their backs on them. Is the XPS 15 battery the same? A search turns up just unknown and eBay suppliers.

Can you recommend a trustworthy supplier?

    TIA

I can't think of a good reason why the XPS 15-9530 battery would be different.

Which country are you in? I wouldn't be too worried about using ebay if the battery description includes "genuine" or "original".

I recall reading that Dell actually lists most of the M3800 parts as XPS-15 parts. That would make sense since the M3800 is heavily based on the XPS-15. I think the M4400 I had was similar as it was heavily based on the Latitude line. The M4800 and M6800 are different since they are not based on another chassis so they would have more unique part numbers. The M2800 is probably shown as almost entirely Latitude parts.
