In order to get Dell Inc contact information one must contact Texas State Comptrollers Office. Public records (which are again are available to the public) list the following for Dell Head office. address: 1 Dell Way, Round Rock Texas. According the the state comptrollers office, Dell does not need to publish a local phone number but they do have to list the names and contact information for officers and directors. I wont note them here but if you ever need to get a hold of Dell;s Head Office that is how you get the information. For those ignoring my efforts ....please disregard. For anyone else who would like to contact Del Head Office the legal and publicly available method of doing so begins with contacting the Texas State Comptrollers Office.

On to the Secretary of State....

At long last finally got the corprate head office information i have been looking for and contact information for officers and directors.

So are there still scaling issues with QHD+ displays and SolidWorks? I'm looking at both the m3800 and the m4800 for primarily SolidWorks use. Is it something restricted to Windows 8 or does Windows 7 suffer the scaling issues too?

I find it perfectly usable with the QHD+ display.

FWIW, the 2015 beta seems to deal with scaling better as well (meaning it has built-in options for adjusting text size, so it should have better support - I have not played with it enough to be able to say for sure if it's much better).

If you have anything specific you want tested, I can give it a try and post some screenshots.

I'm happy to hear the SW scaling is going to improve. I've been using 2012 on my system. It's usable but I don't find it better than it was on my older M4400 with the 1920x1200 screen. Some lines and many of the "midpoint", "vertical" etc sort of icons are hard to see. The extra resolution is nice when you want to models side by side but I will be happy when they really fix the scaling. In SW's defense my copy of the program is older and these ultra high resolution screens were very rare at the time.

Awesome, thanks! By the way, which Service Pack are you using? I will be using the Student Version of 2014 because our robotics team is given free copies. I THINK it's the same as 2014 with no service packs (and no service packs can be installed). Did scaling get better with later service packs?

I'm running 2014 SP 0.0, so yes that should be the same as what you will have.

That's great to hear. Any idea if I should expect any different with the M3800? (I noticed you have the M4800 with the K2100M in your sig). My instinct says no.

So, let me get this straight. You post on here -- twice -- asking if anyone affiliated with Dell can help you get your issue resolved. I reply to you via PM -- twice -- offering assistance. You turn me down saying that you don't want help that way and that you're just irritated on principle with how your issue has been handled. I can certainly understand the frustration aspect, but it appears from this post that a) your issue is still unresolved, and b) somehow you find it easier or at least preferable to go through the State Comptroller's Office and now the Secretary of State in the hopes of getting names of people who may or may not be willing (or even able) to help you, rather than accept the help of someone who's got a tool at his disposal for exactly these types of customer situations?

As I said, I can understand the frustration and thus the earlier rant (spelling errors and lack of line breaks notwithstanding), but my sympathy is limited when you would rather continue to struggle externally with your issue on principle than accept help from inside when it's been offered to you.

Hmmm, I may just be getting used to it/have good eyesight. I also bounce between my monitor, a workstation with an FHD monitor, or a second monitor for the laptop via a dock, so it's hard for me to keep everything straight (I basically just sit down and get to work).

I took a look at '14 and '15 side by side, and I think '14 automatically uses my scaling, while '15 requires you set it using the new text size option. Beyond that, things are a little small, but I find it very usable (SEE EDIT BELOW).

As Regnad said, the relation icons are fairly small (but I have no trouble making them out).

EDIT: '14 and '15 both have the text size option as a drop down next to the options button at the top - don't know how I missed that before.
