I only see one fan :(
You guys know they have quite a few pictures of the m3800 on custompcreview.com right? Just search google images. 4 USB (all 3.0?), SD, lock, charger, battery meter, hdmi, mini display, 1x3.5mm combo...no ethernet.
If the 1080p configuration is going to be >$1699, the 1800p configuration can't be less than 2k...

I know I'm just saying there's a good chance that we might see the Dell 1601 WiGig card from the Latitude 6430u in this Precision.

Good find! Now, judging from the pics, that single fan cooling is gonna struggle. One conclusion - no quad core CPU, only dual (ultra low voltage), but that's probably old news.

That's when Intel announces the rest of the mobile CPU's. Normally, vendors play in sync.

According to rumors on several sites, it looks like the base model ($1699) will only come with a 1 TB HDD. Good chance this is false, though.
Thanks for the link btw. I wonder how Sam got his hands on one so early, or if that's still a prototype.
I thought Dell confirmed that the m3800 had a full voltage quad core i7, both on their website and in this video, most likely the 4702mq or 4700mq. The product manager confirms a quad core i7 at 1:48.

Quite the ambitious little video Dell has put together for the M3800. Target market: the young professional? We shall see.

So the M3800 looks very much like a bigger XPS 13... down to the design and detail, keyboard, chassis etc

I'm guessing there will be no new 15 inch XPS, this will be it... otherwise it would be 2 nearly identical products, with different screen and GPU options, no?

Why are they staying so silent about the specs when the model is pretty much built? How much would the specs vary anyway, why not just describe the base options...

That website and video was posted very quickly after Dell officially announced the laptop. Dell's representative says that the laptop will use a quad core processor.

ShareCG at Siggraph 2013 - Introducing the Dell Precision M3800 mobile workstation - YouTube

The fan was brought up earlier. I see no reason to think that it only uses a single fan. You can only see through some of the vent because of the angle of the photograph. There could easily be a fan on the other side.
