As well as the latest BIOS have you installed the latest Thunderbolt firmware update and driver which are available in the chipset section of the 5510 downloads?

The sleep reboot error occurs whenever I move location from power/battery stage. If I stay connected to a power source, I can sleep/wake up without any trouble, or if I stay on battery.
So when leaving work, I need to disconnect from power source first, if I want to resume my work when I'm back home on the couch. If not, it reboots.

I hope Dell knows the answer: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/t/19989384?rfsh=1471851430630

I've had success with powering it from the external power supply, not the TB15, while updating.

    Hi;

Thank you for all the information posted in the forums thus far. It's
been quite a ride to read about the horrible issues and the heroic BIOS updates.

I am considering this machine BUT did have some questions:

    1) Notebookcheck.net says:

    ---------------------
In general, the system does not calculate faster than 1.6 GHz in battery mode. This state does not change even when connecting to the power supply, making it necessary to reboot the laptop. A BIOS update, like the one available for the XPS 15, might improve this.

    ---------------------

Can anyone confirm or deny this issue? Maybe it's been fixed? Otherwise,
    sadness.

    2) Anyone able to get WQHD(2560 x 1440) at 60 on a single monitor using the
HDMI port? Or, alternately, using the TBOLT port with a converter that isn't
    some huge >$100 dock?

    3) I've seen some intimations of software that can be used to control the
fan speeds. Eh? Eh? That would be ....

Precision_5510_1.2.13 BIOS dropped today. Not a lot of details in the changes, but is marked Urgent.

I was able to update without issues.

Any screen flickering? I have the UHD display and had to rollback from 1.02.10 to 1.02.00 to resolve that issue.

Rolled back to 1.02.00 as well. The description doesn't say about the flickering. I'll give it a try, just before my trip - what the heck.

Guys, FYI I bricked my 5510 after doing a BIOS update with Bitlocker on- be-warned. The SDD remained locked and would not re-install.... and my Acronis disk image would not work!

After the re-working of the whole system from scratch I discovered how to make Acronis work with the RAID configuration of the PCI mini SSD. Here is the recipe if any of you use Acronis:

OMG, I see there is a new BIOS....

Eventually I will read everything here, but are people having problems with multiple screens since the W10 Anniversary update. I cannot find the old display control panel.

Note for next time (for everyone), I learned this one several years ago. If you use BitLocker, always always always visit the BitLocker control panel and suspend BitLocker before doing a BIOS update.
