I have had my 5510 for a couple of weeks now (version with large resolution touchscreen) and the Quadro M1000M GPU. By itself it works quite well, but whenever I collect an external screen to the HDMI port I get random glitches on the laptop screen. It ranges from the entire screen blinking, to temporary graphical artefacts on parts of the screen. It appears quite random, although it seems to happen more frequently if there is a lot of movement (moving windows around, for instance) on the external screen.

The external screen is itself not good either. The applications that i put on that display have very jittery response. It is not possible to smoothly scroll down a text page, for instance, the cursor jumps several lines at a time in a stuttering fashion.

I have upgraded every new driver I have found on the Dell drivers page (especially chipset, bios, and video drivers), although only the bios seems to have had a new version released recently. This is not affected my problem at all. I have also tried to download drivers directly from nvidia, but this has not had any effect either.

Is anyone else experiencing anything similar?

Just hooked my Xeon, m.2, 4k and soon 32gb to my uhd today with Windows 7. Gotta figure how to only scale 200% on 4k and standard on 27" monitor. Should it run 59hz or 60hz?

Will uninstall dells color software and do some calibrations with the i1display Pro.

One complaint so fare is the fan noise!!! It kicks of so fast and I just tried counter-strike on it, thought it was about to take off.
I never had anything a like with my Lenovo T430s

Anyone can tell if there is any chance of getting used to this island design of keyboard?
Geez, coming from previous Precisions this is a disaster...

Also getting random display driver crashes.

Personally, I love the keyboard. Now that I'm able to boot the machine and use it, the keyboard is quite nice. The travel, spacing, and feel of the keys pretty good for these fingers of mine
