Can you provide us with details of exactly how you ordered these parts?

There appear to be numerous posts in various forums wondering how to get these much needed parts for adding a drive to the 5510

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I just called Dell support in Sweden and described what I wanted. They then got me an order and called me up to get my creditcard info. The people at Dell where very helpful with this, allthough I am disappoited that I wasnt included in the first place. I recommend ordering the cheapest 5400rpm drive when ordering the 5510.

There is a BIOS Update available for the XPS version (see therad on this site for more info). May I kindly ask one of the 5510 owners if this update applies to the Precision series as well?
    Thanks in advance!

The XPS 15 and Precision 5510 use different BIOSes. On the driver page for the 5510, you can see available BIOS updates.

Thank you very much for your reply. Unfortunately Dell sales support in the US has not been as helpful. Do any of your communications with Dell or invoice or shipping list indicate the Dell part numbers for the interposer and/or rubber sides?

    Thank you

FYI: BIOS Update to 1.1.15 is available for precision now. Should solve lots of bugs, users said it might be a good idea to reset BIOS settings after updating.

    From XPS series:
The fixes in the update include:

    1. Improve Audio performance

    2. Improve NVMe Battery Life

    3. Fix CPU i7 CPU performance became low after AC remove and insert.

    4. Enhance system Boot time

    5. Fix System may saw NO Boot Device error message with NVMe storage.

    6. Enhance battery mode sleep resume time too long.
