I agree, I would look into flashing the dell vbios to it. Not sure if downloading the clevo driver and mixing it into the driver folder would do anything. Not sure if editing the dell motherboard bios would work. It is a phoenix bios.
How to Use New Phoenix Bios Mod Tool to Modify Phoenix/Dell/Insyde/EFI Bios Files

Its too bad laptops are so picky. I've never ran into a problem with desktop video cards. It its got the same slot as the card, any card works.

Guys, just installed and it showed up with nvidia gtx 680m. Will be testing right now.
I've put into the original nvidia 306.23 folder these files and that from lv2go (maybe only that file is the cure, but i've put all the three) . All files are INF's of course

TMastPrecision , thanks, will study your method after a while

Good to hear that. Another concern would be Optimus, if the bios does not recognize the 680m I doubt if Optimus will work : (

Andrei and Extremal Could You please post here some screenshots with temp (Hwinfo) during stress tests (e.g. Furmark). I'm very interested how stock Dell M6600 heatsink works with new cards.
Do you notice any issues with moded drivers?
    How about 3dmark11 scores?

    Thx for info.

Just installed the 680m. I also replaced the ram from 2x2 to 4x4Gb Corsair 1866Mhz. Sometimes unable to boot (auto shutdown after 3-5 sec powerup, no display). sometimes got display, can go into bios, it shows unknown video card, 4gb. Even got display, blue screen during windows startup (normal or safe mode the same). Tried to play around with the ram with 2x4 but still cannot.

I just hope it is the ram problem, will install the old ram and confirm later it is getting late.

    UPDATE:

Change back to original 1333Mhz 2x2Gb RAM, and the system is working properly and boot into windows. It seems that the Corsair 1866Mhz C9 RAM is not working with M6700.

Use back the old 4x4Gb 1600Mhz RAM (Kingston) from M4600 and the system is working properly. Dell hates Corsair, period.

    WEI is 7.8. Default M6000 is 7.4
Not carried out other benchmarks yet.

    Optimus works.

I was wondering, if you had the IPS screen could you still upgrade to the 680m, or do you have to stick with the quadro line for this?

    Hi all,
I'd really appreciate if someone could help me. My M8900 gpu recently went dead and i've read this topic and got 670m. Unfortunately, i wasn't attentive and got 670MX instead of M... The laptop turns on, but it didn't recognize the card, so it's just standard gpu in windows and i can't install drivers. Is there a possibility to get it work?
