    I have the E5470 (non-dGPU) and the PW7015L (18000Mah which is I think the 65Wh one) works great with it. It's a 65W-adapter machine, though, not a 90W.

I recently got a E5570 from my company in which a Intel Pro 2500 SSD M.2 256GB is installed. I am not sure whether the PCIe or MSATA slot was used for it (I did open it up an hour ago). I was wondering if anybody found out in the mean time if there is a (smaller) bracket available that lets you install a second SSD where normally the regular HDD bracket would be put.

And @John Ratsey, have you solved the problem in the mean time that your Transcend MTS400 is recognized as a removable drive? And did you keep your laptop in RAID mode or did you have to put it in AHCI mode?

If a 2.5" HDD + M.2 boot drive is available as a configuration option then this would definitely work and, even if that isn't an option I don't see why it wouldn't work.
I never solved the removable internal SSD problem but didn't try very hard. Sensibly it's a simple registry edit but figuring out what to change is the challenge. Anyway, it's no longer an issue for me since I got fed up with the E5570's offset keyboard and am now using a Precision 5510.

I changed the E5570 to AHCI mode.

    Hi john,
can you tell what is the approximate weight of the 84 watt battery? I'm debating whether i should buy the bigger battery or the 62 watt.

This information is in the back of the E5570 owner's manual.
    62Whr (4 cell): 325 g (0.72 lb)
    84Whr (6 cell): 430g (0.95 lb)

I didn't take the battery out to check its weight but it's in line with my rule of thumb that one Lithium cell weighs about 50 g / 2 oz. Roughly, the difference in weight is about the same as 2.5" drive.

    Great, thanks!:)
Mine came with the 4 cell, 62 watt and m.2 ssd (and without 2.5 hard drive).
Do you know if it's possible to upgrade the battery to the 6 cell, 84 watt?

There will be no problem fitting the bigger battery, provided you can find one. My E5570's parts list says it is part 4F5YV while the label on the battery says WJ5R2.

Hi John, i have one more question please.
I’ll get the e5570 with 500 gb hdd hard drive, and I want to add m.2 ssd and run windows from it. I read that some of the members managed to install a second m.2 ssd.

    1. What type of m.2 ssd should i look for?
    2. Is the second m.2 ssd capable to the same read/write speed as the ssd in the main hard drive?
    3. Is it possible to run windows from the second ssd?

    thanks!
