As I posted in the separate thread for LatON. My contact at Dell told me the September time frame and LatON is now mentioned in the description for the E4200 at Dell.com.

    Heya,

Of course swapping 2GB for a 1GB module is not a real solution. Although it will solve the corruption problem.
I get the feeling the problem has been solved under a new revision of hardware. My new mainboard comes with a SU9600 problems seem to be non existing anymore. So yes, that apparently solved the problem. Good that you mention the issue here. I am still not completely satisfied with my E4200, the bang for bucks is on the poor side of the scale.

Have you noticed any difference in heat or fan noise with the new motherboard? Or is the fan still running more or less all the time?

    Hi All,
I'm happy owner of E4200 but I face a problem. From time to time it is waking up from sleep mode for unknown reason. There is no schedule task, I disabled Wake On Lan and all other Wake on X options in both BIOS and Windows Vista, also disabled the power saving for network card. But still it is repeating. It doesn't happen at the same time, it is usually 2-3 times a week, day or night. I also switched of WIFI&BT by the hardware button, still repeating. The same behavior I faced when I tried Windows 7. Latest BIOS used.

    Any idea?

    Thanks lots in advance.
    Martin

I have the same issue with my E6400. I have no idea what is causing it. I think it's the Bluetooth.

Can anyone confirm that this new BIOS fixes the screen brightness issue in Windows 7?

I can confirm that this does not fix the LCD brightness bug in Windows 7.

Does anyone have an idea where you can get the backlight keyboard and the optional latitude on module for the E4200?
