    Yes?
And the FSB is 800MHz for the SU9400/SU9300 (according to the Wikipedia article) so DDR3-1066 in the US-version of E4200 does not make any difference?

I found the answer in a specification PDF for E4200 on Dell site.

    Memory:
1GB on board and one Memory slot offering up to a combined 5GB
    1066MHz (running at 800MHz )

Could someone with the BL keyboard chime in on the typing experience, please? How is it? Is it loud? How is the key travel/feedback? Thanks.

A small "review" and some pictures of the BL keyboard in the dark would also be great!

    Hello,

last week I received my new Dell Latitude E4200. I've done an analysis on my blog (it's in spanish) and I've uploaded a few digital photographs:

    Hi Javitxu,

Would it be possible for you to do an analysis in English? :) I tried translating but not to good at spanish. If not no problem but cant hurt to ask.

    Greetings,

    Oliver

Still no LatitudeON. WTH is going on with this thing? Why tout a feature you can't deliver on time?

Anyone with the backlit keyboard yet?

I just found out that my BL E4200 that was supposed to ship on 12/4 was canceled! I contacted my gold rep, but it was pretty late, I expect a response tomorrow. Very disturbing - my 30 day return has just passed. Good thing I paid on my AMEX.

BIOS version A04 was released yesterday:
    http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?fileid=286558

    List of changes:
    1. Added support for a digital signature in the BIOS flash executable.
    2. Updated the PSA to build 4117.
    3. Fixed an issue where the system can be slow to boot to the internal hard drive after a failed PXE boot exits.
    4. Fixed an issue where some BIOS Setup parameters are not accessible via the keyboard.
    5. Fixed an issue where on occasion the system will automatically shut down when resuming from S3.
    6. Fixed an issue where the time stamp of the BIOS power event log in setup is wrong for the power button event.
    7. Fixed an issue where presentation mode cannot be turned on/off from the DCP.
Trying it out now, but judging from the list I probably won't notice any difference.

Has anyone ordered the e4200 with Vista Ultimate or Business with the XP-downgrade? How is this done by Dell? Do they give you the XP CD AND the Vista DVD? What if you want 64bit? Anyone have any info? Thanks.

As an aside, LatOn should be real close though after reading through the features, I am thoroughly underwhelmed. Specifically, the data on your HDD is unavailable while you are within the LatOn OS. The only kind of I/O available is your WiFi (and 3G if available on your laptop).
