I've ordered the same setup... Went with faster delivery so hope to have it soon! I also already have the docking station.

Can I ask why you guys ordered the memory from Dell? It can be had for a lot less money from newegg.

Also, what will you be doing with the 2.4GHz? I couldn't justify the amazing price jump between the 2.2 and 2.4.

Networkwasher: do you happen to know if I can use generic DDR2 S0 DIMMs?

Sometimes I do very CPU intensive works with my laptop so I am considering T7500 rather than T7300 for 10% faster results.
I am asking it again to D830 users having more than 2.2 GHz CPU.
Do you have any fan noise under normal usage, like web surfing, word processing, or watching DVD movie?

I see no reason why you couldnt. There are many people on this forum that have just ordered DDR2 667 sticks from newegg, and I havent heard any complaints. I will let you know for sure once I get my D830 because I ordered 4GB from newegg.

Well, you never know. Case in point my Toshiba Portege M200: Toshiba somehow figured it to be a good idea to move the nose of the DIMM slot a few mm to one side (forgot which one) so that you have to buy either very overpriced Toshiba RAM or still at least 2x more expensive Kingston made for Toshiba...

I want to order a D 630 with Windows Premium and 256MB graphics card. But i am not able to choose these options while customising, as D630 comes with Vista Business and Max of 128MB graphics card. Will i be able to upgrade these two when i place the order over the phone?

    Please help me.

You should probably start a new thread... this is a D830 thread, not 630
