    bimbo: Can you tell me how I can get the rebate you have? Does it stackable with the instant discount that we can see on the dell site?

    To D830 users having more than 2.2 GHz CPU:
    Do you have any fan noise under normal usage, like web surfing, word processing, or watching DVD movie?

    I started with the 899USD instant rebate SMB one and just added my wishes to it. Of course if someone has any coupons that stack with the instant rebate, I'm all ears ;). If you call up Dell and haggle over rebates, be sure to report about your experience ;)

    Note that I did NOT add any more RAM, that's simply too expensive over there. I VERY much hope that I can add standard kingston DDR2 to it ;)

    @bimbo: Thanks!
    Don't forget there is a $450 off discount for $1900 or more.

    t12ek: I did, just forget to mention it. Wouldn't buy broadcom for win either, that stuff is just eeeeewww. Probably will stick to 3945 as that one is widely supported. N is rather useless to me anyhow. But thanks anyway ;)

    Mh let's see what I can do with that 450$ discount... Maybe that's useful, maybe not ;)

    One (hopefully) last issue: the AC adapter is 110-230V capable, right? (It'd be a damn shame if a business notebook came with a single voltage one but who knows)

    I was a bit worried too, at first, that WUXGA would be too tiny for me. But now that's I've been living with it for over a week... the WSXGA+ on my old Presario looks so chunky for me.

    Now this was what I was worried about... getting spoiled by higher and higher resolutions...

    Guys, could you please post pictures of your WUXGA screens ?
    I'll be ordering my D830 soon and I'm actually not sure about the screen size. WSXGA+ seems the perfect one for me, but as a computer science student more real estate really won't be that bad.
