Anyone else's E series Moved to the "shipping" stage?

When id you place your order? Are you in the USA? Did you order the 9 cell battery?

 

I placed it on Aug. 29th. I am in the USA. No, the 9-cell was like $200 isn't it? I'll go check the price again. Didn't seem worth it, to try and possibly delay the order for a $200 battery that I can buy separately if I need it.

 

Good for you! I ordered on Aug 27th, 2008 and mine only went to boxing last night. When did yours go to the boxing stage? Did it ship today (i.e. do you have your tracking number) or is it scheduled for shipment Monday?

My ESD was 09/23.

Boxing started 09/03.

Shipped today 09/05.

Got a tracking #. When I plug it into DHLs website, it doesn't work. Says to try again later or something.

Yes, it is scheduled for shipment on Monday (EAD = 09/08) as far as the Dell website says, can't get any info from DHL as I said. However, I got next business day shipping, so if I am lucky, it will arrive tomorrow.

My E6500 with 9-cell battery got shipped today. Ordered 8/26, ESD 9/18, but it shipped today (9/5). Too bad I am out of town until the 10th so I am having DHL hold it until then.

 

Initially ordered 8/31
Canceled and re-ordered with some changes 9/2
Shipped 9/5
Expected delivery 9/8

But did you order with the 6 cell or 9 cell battery and did you have the LED screen?

Guys, these are the two things we are all hearing are causing delays. Please let us know if you are choosing these options when you post your order and shipping dates and that way future buyers (and us) will know what is causing the delays

3 days to build? Uh oh...

 

Booooo....shipping date on my E6500 just got pushed back to 9/22 for my ship date and delivery date of 9/25.

31 days to build......grrrrrrrr.

Oh well. I can keep my current computer running with a little more duct tape and bailing wire
