    Hey guys,
I know we have one member who already has his E6500 in hand, just wondering if anyone else is seeing their order move along much faster then anticipated?

I placed my order for my E6500 on the 20th, but its thru my company so I dont get a play by play, I will just get an email when my IT dept gets it in hand.

    Thanks!

FYI, we ordered 1 on the 20th as well, and the shipping date was set as the 12th. Last week the estimated shipping dates on the US site changed from a 3 week turnaround to 2 weeks, so I'm hopeful it will ship this week.

I ordered my E6400 on 8/14 and it moved to the boxing stage yesterday. I imagine I will probably get it Thursday or Friday of this week.

That's great! How did you find out your notebook was in the boxing stage? My dell status seems like it'll only show "in production" and then go straight to "shipped".

You have to call the Dell order status number 800-433-9014 . It will give you the stage your order is in. Typically the boxing stage is 3 days so with the overnight delivery I figure I will have it by the end of the week.

    Cool, thanks for that.

Sadly, I'm still on "testing." :(

I just wish mine would get to testing. Mine has been in Build for a couple weeks now...

Testing is good, that means your laptop has already been assembled so all the parts are in. The Testing stage is usually only a few hours and then it goes right into boxing.

The European order status system is different with a pre-production stage between ordering and production. That means the computer is either waiting for parts or a slot on the assembly line. The production stage itself is only a few hours, unless there's a glitch.
