You're welcome. I am not sure, bro. Probably so, but you would need to contact them or look on their web page. Maybe the easiest way to find out is select a system, create an account, and see if you get any error messages with your shipping address plugged in.

    DOKOU?

(don't mind me just expressing desire... in japanese)

But hey good job. What's your thoughts about offering it as a direct option on the 17" units for the configurator?

No worries about expressing desire in any language that pleases you...just don't drool on your screen. :twitchy:

    Take a look...the B173QTN01.4 option is there.

Strike out azom.systems , they are highly overpriced, and they only sell p751 and p775, without delidding, any thing i like abut them is despite being in india, where people even dont care their system throttles, they use prema bios, still.

Most vendors do not go the extra mile like HIDevolution. It is very unusual to find folks willing to bend over backwards like they do with delids and mods. Sad that Azom does not offer the best option (P870) but otherwise getting Prema firmware is the key to having the best laptop you can have. If I could not have Prema firmware, I would not buy a Clevo (or any other "high performance" laptop for that matter) from anyone. For me, personally, having @Prema firmware is a make-it-or-break-it deal. No tickey, no laundry; no PremaMod, no likey, no laptop.

Same thing! I purchased my p775tm1 from avadirect and now i regret it! Hidevolution is like the best, even for overseas customers.(but i cant buy from them!).
Anyways azom is like 700$ more costlier then sameconfig of evoc or sager!

Yes it doesnt shut down at all. Temps are stable. Yes it is strange. They worked fine in my other clevo and i put them back in the other one no issues at all. Im gonna buy new drives for this P870TM1-G. I tried purchasing a lenovo fan for the cpu 5v 4 pin seems good on height just gotta figure a way to mod heatsink and it doesnt power on btw lol. I saw the idea and decided to chime in. I dont have a premamod on mine since i purhased from rjtech. So my options are small i dont even have an option to turn on csm lol and no matter what i do i cant get it to boot win 7. I either bcd error or when i finish install it stays stuck on windows loading screen.

we both bought from rjtech ha! though i should have definitely went HID after factoring in the ram/cpu pricing, theres almost no difference at that point. is it time to migrate to windows 10? i heard win10 RS2 has super fast boot time.

That is really strange. Must be something wrong with the SSD if taking it out stops the problem.

Unless or until you can control CSM you are screwed in terms of ability to use Windows 7. Welcome to the world of the Micro$haft Nazi Clown Bastard Posse.

No, it's not time to embrace the filth. It's time to replace a piece of crap BIOS with one that works right. Stock Clevo BIOS sucks, just like all the other sucky laptop BIOSes (100% suck rate regardless of brand).

why not just remove / turn off all the junk that comes with it? when i first installed wins8/server2012 i had to make a bunch of adjustment to make it similar to win7. just a lot of time going into it and they suck for benchmark on 10

Windows 7 is a much better product by every measurement, but the cancer BIOS most laptops ship with blocks installation of Windows 7 by design and intent. You cannot turn off all of the junk with Windows 10. You can kill a whole lot of it, but in most benchmarks it still sucks compared to Windows 7, especially where memory and CPU are involved. Unless you're stuck with a crappy BIOS and can't get it to work, Windows 7 is the best OS choice.

Yes after i purchased everything seperately i was off buy maybe 200 to 300 bucks i should have just purchased from @Donald@HIDevolution paid the extra but its was an experience. I delidded my own cpu. Temps at 37c solid on gaming 51c its not ocd. 3000mhz ram. Dual 1080sli here. I plan to undervolt and oc to 4.7 maybe 5.0 24/7 if the temps are good. Just need to find a good guide. Im going to use the win 10 bloatware free creators edition.

    @Prema

Just got the Prema BIOS on my machine today. There are now 1000's of ways to brick my beast instead of just a few! Much thanks for all your work man.

Since there are so many options in this new BIOS is there a thread dedicated to what settings people find to work best in this machine? I've looked and I havent found one.

If there isnt one I will start one!

Well, i dont think you can just brick your beast simply by mendeling with bios. All you can do to make ur laptop just unbbotable by undervoting too much, or disabling the drive on which os is installed, disable gpu.

However this all can be fixed just by a NVM or cmos resetting!

But, frankly, i do believe someone having experience with @Prema 's bios, like for exampe @Mr. Fox or @Phoenix should create an thread on how to use the prema mod bios. Not many prema users on these forums are OCers, and barely know how to use prema's bios.

A thread like this would be helpfull to everyone!

BTW, it woud be great if someone creates a thread how to properly use clevo stock bios too!

I believe options that will brick the system are removed but obviously with the number of combinations it's perhaps best to play with the stuff you recognise and research bits you don't if you do want to go further.

The main brickable offence would be disabling the vga setting. Do that and you are history.

Unless this is somehow saved to something other than NVRAM, a full CMOS reset will fix this.
And then there's always the hardware programmer too... ;)

In the PremaMod everything is properly tested and addressed accordingly, but there are a bunch of options in those generic 'unlocked BIOS' which are being offered by other parties that brick your system for good and no CMOS reset will be able to restore it as no space has ever been addressed to accommodate them in the CMOS and hence it will corrupt even the backup tables. e.g. you can also mess up the ME or even lock the entire chipset hardware for good by using options that should not ever be exposed and then not even a hardware programmer will bring it back to life. My inbox is filled with user who are seeking help after they corrupted and bricked their systems with firmware that where build on the 'unlock everything and hope for the best' principle...

Nope. Only a reflash will fix it.

I gotta say, this is not an MSI.

And sure, you can use a programmer to fix it. That also entails you to take the machine fully apart. Most things can be fixed this way. Although, not on some of the Asus machines. Some of those seem to be one time flashes or something. Not really sure because I haven't really tinkered with them recently. (Speculation of course. It could have been just user error)

Stock BIOS just with a lot of random options added...a re-seller even charges a pretty penny for that if you are willing to pay up. Most user don't know the difference so it's easy money. It's only when results remain unchanged when user begin to question their investment.

e.g it took literally 3 Months of work to remove the throttle from the P870KM1 while I could have made a BIOS with just more options in 3 Minutes.

I've seen many posts on this forum, with people stating they have installed prema bios and their system now dosent throttles, well, i dont think they even have idea it took someone's 3 month of extreme mind boggling and extensive hardwork to make it possible! Just simple internet Hats Off to you sir!

And, thats just mean of any reseller to *sell* a still-criplled "unlocked" bios! Its just mean. If sir, you or ANYONE else can PM me such resellers(so that noone is accused of bragging a reseller inpublic), it would be great, so i may just remove them from my list for my college gaming laptop!
