Personally I like it to sit between 120-140hz for my best experience. It's an expensive taste to have.

Hummm, wondering what I'm getting for showing this?

And it was explained that you need to default your installation of it or delete that folder and reinstall it.

Now that could very well be. I don't have mine here at the moment so I can not check and see.

Other news. CCC seems to be functioning for the most part.

Well that's cool. I sure would like to have my CPU utility working. What version are you on?

EDIT: I just downloaded a new 2018 version from here, http://www.clevo.com/en/e-services/download/ftpOut.asp?Lmodel=P87xTM&ltype=9&submit=+GO+, and I now have access to the CPU tool.

everything isn't working under server 2012 except the last shot you have there with profile, though macro/statistic tab are there, color tab is missing when i load up that software under 2012. in windows 8 they all work fine.. its a mystery

nice find man, the size looks a beauty 54 x 54 x 6mm. i send a message to seller for the voltage/amp info, just on size alone though this is better than the one from alibaba, that one was 42 x 51 x 5 i think. the depth i measured however is only like 52mm max so i'd have to see when it arrives.

heres another one i found the other day might be borderline too large as i measured 6-7mm max. https://www.ebay.com/itm/282590636507
    55 x 55 x 8mm, 5v 0.5A rather powerful.

I updated from 5.0001.1.73 to 5.0001.1.76 and its working now, so I'm happy.

I didn't think the PREMA bios is out for the TM1 yet? is it?

I think I have 76 sitting around as well.
No, it's not ready for public use just yet.

What happens when you set the fan offset in gpu overclocking and while running gpuz benchmark test on one gpu. I'm curious as to the behavior of this. Not sure if mine is a user error situation or something else.

yea i'll give that a try. first gotta do BT get that going, took my long enough to migrate my entire OS setup to AHCI PCIE SSD with legacy. was on legacy, sata raid and had a ton of issue getting it going.

You should have just started fresh. And after each attempt, migrate the working drivers in to the os install and try again.

I may attempt the 2012 install while in Vegas this week for CES.
I actually do use a server for what it's meant for. A server. LOL, but will see if I can help with finding the drivers.

This one may need to be rewired...maybe.

lol thanks man, that BT is definitely pain in the neck.

starting fresh is tough cause i got like a hundred software and settings all done.. if you need the nvidia driver just download the latest 8.1 it should work, for both server 2012 R1/R2. everything else pretty much work only if i install via device manager, hardest part is i gotta boot off SATA SSD in AHCI mode then install NVMe driver from win7 to recognize the NVMe SSDs, then make a backup image of that from SATA then restore it onto PCIE SSD otherwise it just wont load into window.

for those fans, i bought them with the mind that i'd need to do rewiring. from old mods learned that those coloring wire dont mean a thing OEM can easily switch them up, just gotta test them and hope i dont burn up the fans. basically for the fans that would fit dimensional wise, i bought them all and 2-3 each.. 1 for test, 1 for use, 1 for replacement if pricing is okay.

when the fans arrive i'll let u know how it goes, mount is another matter but i can prob manage that with customized bracket

So I have been benching today and I have few things that I need help with:

    1. Why does second GPU MAX memory clock speed seem to be fixed and way off the first GPY MAX memory clock speed?
    2. Why is second GPU always have a max load of 98%, max temp of 88C and first GPU max load of 100% and max temp of 86C?
    3. SST (Smart Sound) technology on the CPU seem to be turned off, is there a reason for this? Or is it because the laptop has the SB card?
    4. Afterburner CPU overclocking utility is locked, why is that and how to unlock it?

Thanks in advance for all the tips!

4x the memory clock on the second card, gives the same figure so looks like a software issue, what program did you use to double check the figures?

The 2nd card always has a lower load %, this is due to how SLI works.

Keyboard is unresponsive on boot sometimes, only goes back to normal and responsive again when I press the windows key. Quite odd

Hello guys I’m about to order one of these laptops for myself with 1080 sli do you guys suggest I get a 4K screen or is it not worth it for a laptop? And I will be installing the OS myself where can I get all the drivers needed for this laptop ?

If its for gaming, 4k on 17" isn't worth it. 1440@120hz is better. If you are photo editing, i'd check with someone in that line of work.

Drivers come with the system via cd but you can go to the Sager website for updated drivers I believe.

Either screens will still be 17", neither is worth the effort to think about it really.

You can get a Dell U2515H which has excellent colors and viewing angles with less trouble than trying to get the 4K display.

This being said, the 4K display has much better colors than the FHD one, so if you do enjoy movies or such on your lappy, the 4K display will make everything better. It is not very bright though, at about 300 nits, but neither is the FHD one.

All in all, I'd get the 4K one for the better colors, but still expect to use an external display almost 100% of the time.

Prema bios onlyif you buy from his partners(lpc digital, hidevo),

Yes you could upgrade your gpu if they support the mxm3 type b,but they will be costly as hell(a single gtx 1080 for laptop costs 1249$)

The standard MXM-B cards have a different core position on the PCB so it would require different heatsinks.

GPU Performance Scaling is enabled in Bios. Could this be the reason why my GPU is really hot. The GPU OC software that come preinstalled is off while im gaming. Yet i feel like it's on.

Thank you i think I’m gonna buy from LPCDIGITAL they have good prices but there’s no mention of Prema In there website
And I’m still stuck between a 4K G-Sync or 1440p 5s G-Sync I’m mostly game but do like watching movies.

They do remote install of prema bios, after you receive the laptop via teamveiwer.

If you only game, i would go for 120hz 1440p anytime, but if you do watch movies like me, you should go for 4k IMHO.

Yeah, I don't even think they are technically released yet but they have been coming up on eBay. Don't appear to be fakes either.
I was thinking about grabbing a couple 1TB ones for RAID-0.

If you are up to it then making your own will outperform any official product out of a standard metal one.
