I don't think your first case works:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo/563987-ddr3-1600-p150hm-b3.html#post7281886

    I think its max 2x2GB at 1600MHz

    The 8150 / P150HM and 8150-S1 / P150HM-S1 are the same notebook, the S1 is simply a discounted configuration.

hey guys new to forums. i just got my clevo p150hm a week ago.

    there is a new driver 266.40 available at v266.40 Windows 7/Vista 32bit | Clevo Mobile - LaptopVideo2Go Forums

i was wondering whther anyone had any benchmarks or comments if this is better than our factory driver of 265.77?

also does anyone know that site i linked and whether any of the dekstop drivers improve performance?

    Woohoo I ordered!

After almost two weeks of thinking I bought following configuration at Eurocom:
    P150HM with:
    - i7 2720qm
    - AMD 6970m 2gb
    - No ram (I will upgrade myself with 2x 4gb 1600mhz hyperX)
    - No HDD (I will upgrade myself to 640gb + sata600 ssd in caddy(still waiting for vertex III))
    - No wireless (I will add intel 6230 wireless + bluetooth myself)

This way I can cut costs even more because Eurocom is kinda expensive with HDD and RAM etc. Total of this build will be below 1500€, that is a lot cheaper then if I get a laptop here in Europe!

    Through this: EUROCOM Configuration Link!

But I keep my fingers crossed then. As long as they ship everything is fine by me, as long as the laptop doesn't break down!

yeah, the only way i could get to configure the 15.6" was to google it. couldn't find a direct link from their main site.

maybe they're trying to cover their tracks by not linking it :p

well i dunno is it ok to just use it? since it looks like the power brick for the desktop replacement ones they need a power cord like ones used on desktop power supplies and then they gave me the 3ring power cord lol.

thats how brick's socket looks like except obviously bigger brick, and thats the cord they sent with it lol....
like i said the brick's socket looks like ones you'd find on desktop power supply.
    cord.gif
    19v-3.42a-adapter.jpg

P.S: i think they just come directly from sager so it's most likely their fault.

When you say power adapter, I am guessing you mean the power brick. Does the socket portion of the cord fit into the socket of the brick? The brick looks like the correct one - mine looks the same. Do you have an actual pic of it?

I guess you could. If it were me, I would want a free replacement, instead of paying for one. I suggest contacting your reseller to see what they can do.

you could buy a cheap one, use it while your reseller overnights you the correct one (this is what you should ask they do since its urgent that they give you the correct one as your laptop is "useless" without it), then return it to get your $5 (or however much they cost) back

Why? Its only the cord not the powerbrick. According to previous replies i have the right power brick( thanks mad) i only need 3 prong power cord to use which is same as desktop ones.

Brick is the important part, any power cable that can handle the load is fine, and desktop ones should be specced higher.

Yeah, I don't recall anyone else gettin one from Myth yet (on Nbr anyways). I'm excited :D

Trying to get Josh to pick up a C400 SSD for me (I decided I'm not too fond of this 510 rafter reading more about it). Emailed him about it yesterday afternoon, and they sold out last night.. I haven't heard back from him yet so I assume he wasn't able to get one, so I might be waiting till more come in stock.

Well you get to do the first review then... Not going to make my wife carry a 17lb box 13 miles on mass transit so that I can see it at work before going to school :) I have an oral argument today to defend my appellate brief so I won't be back to see it until past 12 am... I'll see if I can convince my wife to let me spend a bit of the AM of her birthday on the new machine but I might not be able to work on it until early saturday morning.

Mythlogic did say he had my benchmark results on the desktop for me though so I can post that when I get the machine.

I also ordered from Eurocom. They were very responsive throughout the process and I received my machine on Tuesday. I know others have had problems with them in the past but I really had no issues at all.

It is odd though that they are able to offer the 6970 for the 8150 now when it seems the card has not been approved for use in the 8150 by Clevo yet.

Anyway mine seems fine so far, although thanks to a busy time at work I haven't had a lot of opportunity to play a ton on my machine yet. I will say the fans are fairly loud when the machine is under load which I guess is to be expected. It never got too hot though which is the important thing.

My 3D Mark Vantage score was in the high 12K range (don't remember it exactly). However I wasn't able to submit the score because 3Dmark would not recognize the card or driver (it could see it was a 6900 series but nothing beyond that).

EDIT: The specs on my machine are: Intel 2720m, 4G 1333 DDR3 RAM, 6970M GPU, 320GB HD.

I would have liked a bit more RAM and a bit more HD space, but the upgrade prices seemed a bit high and if it's something I really need I can do it myself later.

Would you be comfortable checking to see if you got an engineering sample as well? I'm assuming you probably did, as you wouldn't be the first one (and considering they aren't actually out as retail for these yet). Either way, I also wouldn't be surprised if your warranty with Clevo/Sager was voided because of the 6970 in a model that isn't approved. That's what happened to Tirenz with his x7200 http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo/556994-amd-radeon-6970m-eta-resellers-12.html.
