That's why Asus created that cheap piece of junk--for "budget minded" dudes like you. ;) Besides didn't you say you had trouble lifting something the size of the M17x? Well the X7200 is about the same size so it would probably stress your arms too much.

No HDMI in looks like a deal breaker for me. Its kinda ugly to me too.

I noticed that Eurocom has dual 470ms for the X8100. Its only a matter of time now before the "less expensive" resellers have it. :)

It does have a HDMI in, its a factory fit optional extra so you will have to contact the retailer to see if they can request one or have a unit with it in.

Really excited to see if this gets 470M SLI. I may go for my first dual GPU system if it happens.

    Congrats of pulling the trigger!
It'll probably take even longer than 2 weeks to ship. You will be very lucky to receive yours before mid October.
BTW, who did you order it from?

Honestly I can't even decide which one to get. Speed wise, this is unmatched but the X8100 is too beautiful to ignore plus it has the 18in. screen.

Both have more power than I need currently but who said overkill in a notebook is a crime? :D

No, but close to it and it GTX 470M SLI is about the price of ONE GTX 480M... so the price/performance ratio is way better.

( already posted this on one of the other threads asking for us resellers )

finally! first one to post up that the x7200 is for sale is rjtech.com
im waiting for this for months and it finally showed up.
cant find it? click the tiny 2 and it will show you.

Yes, I will contact them, you're right we do get ripped off here in UK, but it will never change and we're used to it :(

Did you get the all important HDMI input option?

Shame. Your reseller only ships to USA destinations :(

Lucky indeed, though the only way that he already has one is if he works for Clevo or a reseller.....

Also make sure u account for import tax, vat and shipping
if u order from overseas, price differences are usually mostly down to VAT.

Yes, may just wait, if I order only VAT is payable, no import duty on Laptops, and you're right, shipping costs are a biatch!

And don't even talk about warranty claims, if I needed to claim what a nightmare that would be, will just have to wait for the sloooow and overpriced UK to catch up

Just got a reply back from Speedy's reseller though, nice price!! Buying from them even with the silly high price shipping is still cheaper than buying from UK lol, even if I get stung with customs charge tax.

A pity, you'd lose the warranty in that case, unless you could transfer it/buy it from a nearby reseller... Probably impossible. You could ask Neil though, he's a nice guy and may find a compromise.
