No, just the only overclocked dual GPU bench we have seen was from Hemi

We have seen nothing from this machine yet till someone who knows what there doing gets a hold of it.. Its really that simple ...

Simple as that

Whats over clocking mean again? Is that something I do with my time card at work?
Hehe
I will be lucky if I work how to install a patch.... Mmm now where did I put that glue, and where is that patch? -
Well. X7200 finally available from the Norwegian outlet; Multicom. Core i7 930/950/960/980X, GTX 460M/GTX 480M/, both single or SLI, and also Quadro FX 3800. Price of a top specced machine is slightly less than anticipated.
And the D900F is removed from their site. I guess the D900 chassis has reached the end of the line, and with it, one of the last 1920x1200 options. Too bad. -
GAME TIME Decision for me folks! I have 1 hour to go through with my pretty much maxed out X8100 build (HDMI in included) or wait till god knows when for a Sager version of this with SLI and no HDMI in.
Opinions!!! -
-
HDMI in is critical. Desktop CPU is overkill but awesome for me. Why did we get screwed in the states!? This is tough! It the thought of someday that Sager will bring HDMI in to us that is holding m back.
-
-
hey would it be possible/easy to put up a triple panel display off of an SLI x7200? Not necessarily nvidia 3d vision, but surround 2d 3 panel. Would it function well?
-
-
You dont know how lucky you are, there are maybe 20 x7200's here it seems. We aint been allocated a lot, why should we, we are only a small puny Island, a puny market not worth bothering with almost *cries into pillow* -

Wonder if they will acctually ship it with 460M SLI, though I am holding out for 470M because of pricedifference to 480M (as well as the performance probably being very similar). -

to run 3 monitors you need 3 dvi outputs and that ain't happen -
Matrox DualHead2Go External Monitor Video Controller (2 External Monitors)
2x USB to DVI/VGA FHD Video Adapter (Laptop Display+External Display From Laptop+ 2 USB FHD Adapter = 4 Total Displays)
Matrox TripleHead2Go External Monitor Video Controller (3 External Monitors)
Plus two other options I didn't paste...
However I'm quick to add that I know nothing! -
I'd hate to go buy another 2x23" monitors to find out it didn't work, hopefully someone with the gears will try it and post results soon.
-
If you really want a 3 monitor machine you should just build a desktop and stick with the iPad for your portable needs ..
-

That matrox solution is purely to get more screen real estate. The added screens are not 3D accelerated. In order to have 3 screens for gaming you would need to use the outputs coming from the gpus directly and with this laptop I would not get my hopes up for being able to do 3 screens simultaneously
-
I considered it, but I need the mobility for my main machine so this is a desktop replacement. If I can't have three monitors it's not a deal breaker I just question why a few of the boys (XoticPC included) are selling with? -
cookinwitdiesel Retired Bencher
It is a popular option for productivity but will not enhance the gaming aspect of the machine.

It gives you more space to have windows open, like multiple browsers or something like that. It is not a suitable solution for multi screen gaming however as the ports driven off of the USB Matrox devices will have no 3D acceleration (they are not being powered by the GPUs)
-
Maybe I should buy this beast then...
'Lamborghini of PCs' yours for just 30k | Stuff.co.nz -
Pulled trigger in on X8100.
-
So I can run two monitors? Or 1 External plus the Laptop? or maybe just one of those single external wrap around monitors?
-
-
pretty much so. that no backlit keyboard is an old story that needs revamping.
only people who say that are the ones that have never had one. one they get one and use it...it's a whole different story.
or
because they type so good...they dont need lights to see...lol (200 wpm) -

They remind me of Steve jobs...."flash support on mobile devices and blu ray for macs are stupid and no one needs them"
Clevo version: "Backlit keyboards are for kids, we want to attract serious customers only" (I would laugh but my own boss has actually said something almost as stupid)
Keep telling yourself that....every single person who sees the backlit keyboard on my M17x is blown away by it and wants it on their computer (and I am talking professionals not kids)

What's more advantageous for gaming...
an SSD instead of the hybrid,
or
12GB Ram instead of 6
or
the 980x instead of the 950? -
cookinwitdiesel Retired Bencher
For gaming those are all pretty pointless. I guess the 980x would show the most benefit though
-
-
thinking of getting the 950 now which will blow my socks off compared to what im use to (I was watching 3DMark06 testing with game at less than 1FPS yesterday... rofl), then get the 990x in the new year, hopefully it I will notice a big difference then too?
-
cookinwitdiesel Retired Bencher
Making things load faster and moving files faster. Do not expect it to work any miracles anywhere else....it is only the file storage
-
cookinwitdiesel Retired Bencher
It will not be a huge difference but probably around 10-20% (most things will not notice the extra 2 cores)
-
Im getting dual Hybrid 500GB drives, I want to keep one really clean and fast for gaming and one for business and everything else, is that done by having dual boot?
-
Nah, you just install games on the boot drive.
