I know physx is on. Please note that I get driver crashes at this time when I disable it. Sorry. :(

It does not totally crash. At different points in the tests. A little nvidia window comes up and says the driver has stopped responding and has been reset. I know we can figure this out in time.

Using the Realtek HD Audio Manager this is the best sounding laptop of any Clevo-Sager I have heard. Much better than the W870CU, W880CU and other models... ;)

And keep in mind that vantage doesn't even do tessellation, some dx11 game benches would probably work best to see what it can do. Will this be the first laptop to be able to play metro 2033 at max settings with tessellation on?

^^^^^Just a note regarding the reported bad sound in the video above. My unit has VERY GOOD production of sound. You will need to go into the Realtec HD Sound Manager and set it for a 5.1 speaker system and environmental enhancements help too, I hear sound from all over the laptop. I really enjoy listening to my music on this system. It's not a home stereo system, but for a laptop it is very good!

At this point if I was to mention a negative it is that yes PS adapter is BIG!
I was hoping with the advancement of technology the way it is that one about half the size of this one could be made. Maybe it can...

Despite being big though, is it working well? You are not seeing any problems indicative of insufficient power being supplied?

We had the 5.1 selected and the audio is still not that good. We have compared it to Audio from the ASUS G73 and MSI GX660R and still felt it was not as good as it should be with a notebook of this size and speaker set up. We are working on another video showing what we have this up to with a good CPU and GPU OC. :)

I hope many will get x7200 and force AW to join the heavy weight category (desktop CPU+SLI/CF). Healthy competition is good for us.

Not me, I think the 2" thickness for the M17x is already too much. The 2.5" X7200 is far too thick. Now for their workstation systems I could see a desktop CPU being beneficial.

I would not mind seeing AW start using Clevo systems again. Back before Dell was involved they did that regularly

My friend has an Aurora M7700a which used a desktop Athlon 64 in it back from 2006 (Clevo D900k or t?)

it is 2.2" thickness (thinnest part for this laptop) just .2" diff from aw :p

from clevo specification, x7200 is thicker than m17x only .5 mm. Can you see difference in real use?

What can I say...there was no static until I uploaded to YouTube. The original is much better. I was trying to show that the x7200-NP7280 has good volume and clarity. You can even here static in my voice at the start. (I do not have static in my voice) It is just a quick 2 minute clip.

Hope you don't mind Chicago it's all I could find quick. It is an oldie but a goodie.... :)

This is what Clevo lists on their website for X7200:

    vs

    AW specification:

60.7 mm = ~2.4 inches. The thinnest may be 2.2" but if you look at the photos, that's isolated to just a small part of the front. Most of the notebook looks like it's 2.4" thick which is quite a bit more than the M17x IMO. To some .3-.4" is trivial but at the 2" mark I think every cm begins to matter.

Why would you want AW to compromise their aesthetics, chasis and features? Just so you can get a desktop CPU? Buy the X7200 or a shuttle system if you want that. AW is a gaming brand and adding a desktop CPU to a system using mobile GPU's brings little to no gain. I think they could build something chunky like this for their Precision line but not for AW. I'm hoping for some vendor to do a radical change by going with water cooling like the Japanese have done for years now. It's fairly low profile (at least for DTRs), quiet and can absorb higher TDP parts without adding so much thickness + leaf blowers to cool the copper down.
