sold my ZM due to pure coincidence, so i thought why not get a DM instead wich i did then, so i'm almost even gained nothing but didn't loss anything either, so yeah it was pretty much a "free" sidegrade for me :)

Thinking of doing this side grade myself. I'll have pictures up by tomorrow night (my heatsink is mirrored all surfaces). I'll have lapping notes as well as polishing (using rouges - I use Tripoli, green (for the nickel on the ihs), jewellers, and blue to finish) notes as well. I'll need to see time frame on pch sinking and pressure testing to know exactly when I'll have that done, benchmark pics up by Monday...

In the Nvidia control panel, there is an option to Set up G-Sync. Make sure the box is checked for that, and you can choose if it is just for full screen, or windowed modes and full screen. Check there to see if those are on.

Sorry, I overlooked that in a previous message. What version of the Nvidia graphics driver are you using?

You might need to reach out to where you purchased your computer, to get the newest BIOS version.

if i'm honest if it weren't so convenient for me i would still rocking my ZM of course, so i would only go to DM if you find a buyer, like @jaybee83 and you said it's really more of a sidegride, but still the DM hold's more potential, i was even playing some Wildstar (3h to be exact) with 4.5Ghz -50mV and never pushed over 77 °C. 110hz i miss you, if there would be a recommended eDP display i would no doubt prefer high Hz instead of the gsync gimmick.

i contacted my reseller, but he couldn't help me, from the company i bought the Book Gsync is still newland and they don't know about the different IDs yet :p i know it sounds silly but it's true story. Try to contact your reseller too and link them the post i gave you too about the different IDs maybe they can help you instead. Too bad tho there is no official link from clevo which are stating that there are definitely 2 variants of the 9x0M

The problem is Skylake and Windows 7 no EHCI drivers. Try the link to the USB patcher.

I will check it once I get Windows running

Can anyone explain what are the Realtek Combo Card Driver and the Intel Combo Card Driver?

Do I need the Realtek one? I already downloaded the Card Reader Driver. Plus this one is 150+ MB.

The second one is 700+ MB, seems a lot for a wireless and bluetooth driver.

Prema magic for the ZM.DM too, I believe. From Mr. Fox's video. I saw Legacy USB Support. But, definitely, post if the patcher works for you.
I think @SierraFan07 gets his P770DM-G today. Maybe when his head comes back out of the clouds :D he can give you the ID for his G-Sync GPU. My G-Sync 970M from my P770ZM-G Device ID is 10DE-1618.

I just ordered my P770DM-G from Eurocom today, many thanks to @ jaybee83 for helping me setting things up, plus this great forum which helps a lot "all members really".

I wish I had ordered it from XOTIC, the guys there are awesome & very helpful, but the website was down almost all day.

    Well yes I imagine so...

I have the Intel AC 8260 card plus Bluetooth so I imagine I need the Intel Combo, but I never saw such a big driver... 700MB, I wanted to make sure.

About the Realtek Card Combo I really have my doubts. I already have the Card Reader (10MB) and Audio (280MB) drivers, what's this one for? What particular setup requires it?

Everything I can find just points to Realtek Wlan + Bluetooth combo products so I'd say if you got the Intel Wlan driver, the audio driver and card reader then your good to go. Plus, through a process of elimination you will know if your missing something if a device is non functioning or shows an error in device manager etc...

Really happy with the machine so far! Just finishing some final touches.
Also really glad I god the proper G-Sync 980M and the LG LP173WF4-SPD1, confirmed 75Hz G-Sync certified panel.
With the 6700K it's just a beast, totally worth the wait.

I'm loving the screen, I thought the GS70 had a great TN panel but this one is something else.

I'm like a little kid! Now to play some f*cken G-synced minesweeper!

P.S - What are you guys doing to bypass the 'can't locate compatible graphic hardware' when updating the nvidia driver?

Finally my Batman 2.0 arrived this evening, man this thing is amazing. Anyway, just wanted to update, as promised, what the Device ID and Panel I have. I confirmed my 970M device id is 10DE-1618/ 1558-7703 (Rev A1) and my display is also the LG LP173WF4-SPD1. I'd like to throw out a big huge thank to Mythlogic for putting together such an incredible machine and really taking the extra time to make sure it was all done right. I'll do my best to bring more updates this weekend when I'm off work and actually have some time to explore this thing.

I'm trying to overclock the screen. It's set to 75hz on the nvidia control panel and also in windows.
Gsync is also on on the nvidia cp.
Trying CS GO, vertical sync is off but I dont get past 60 fps... Weird right?
The first time I set it to 75Hz it had absolutely no problem in Windows but as soon as I opened CS GO I got a black screen with some gray vertical and horizontal lines. It worked the second time though..

And to top it off, today when I turn it on I get squiggly lines all over the screen! Even though I left it set to 60Hz in the end...
Tried to change the resolution to something lower and just got a black screen (didn't even revert back).
Starting to get scared I messed something up. Reinstalling Nvidia drivers right now, for some reason it wouldn't allow me to customize anymore resolutions or refresh rates.

    Specs:
    i7 6700K / 16GB DDR4 2400 / GTX 980M 8GB G-Sync / Crucial MX200 M.2 500GB

    1st impressions:
+Nice build quality, pretty solid chassis.
+Quite quiet under load, very controlled temperatures (I'll have to test it further, only played a couple rounds of CS GO)
+Great LG TN Panel, rich colours and good contrast
    +Great Touchpad!
+One of the greatest pair of speakers I ever heard in a laptop (although it is easier in such a big form factor)
    +Easy access to internal components
+Control Center has plenty of options. Miles ahead from my 2005 Clevo M570A

-Finish isn't quite up to par. Speaker grill flexes a bit.
-Rubberized texture is great in theory and in photos, awful in real life
-Keyboard's a big spongy, Shift and Return keys are smaller than usual
-Audio outputs on the right side. I keep knocking wires with my mouse. Already ordered some right angle male-to-female 3.5mm adaptors from Amazon to see if it gets any better.

    Any questions feel free

It does feel great and soft. But already the left side is darker than the right one.
Any oil in your hands, no matter how good you wash them, gets stuck to the surface and it's not easy to clean.
Top cover also gets messy and blotchy just from removing and putting it in the backpack.

It's not Clevo's fault (quality wise, although they did select it as a material) as this happens with all rubber finishes. It's still better than piano black!

Take my complaints with a grain of salt. I'm a very demanding buyer in regards to product build quality and finish. Performance wise I'm more than pleased!

Why do you keep saying you have a TN panel? That LG is an IPS panel. It should be immediately obvious how much better the viewing angles are.

    Habit. I meant IPS.

    Issues I'm having:
-Windows 10 will not shut down, almost never. When it does and I turn it back on it says "returning from hibernation" or something like that.

-Altough screen is overclocked to 75Hz, FPS_MAX is set to 75, and G-Sync is on I don't seem to get past 60FPS on CS GO (haven't tried other games yet). I've never tried G-Sync but I don't see much difference. If anything the game feels slightly different, like it's not running at the same speed all the time... I can't really explain it and I don't know if it's a habit thing or what. For now it feels weird.

Right now I'm doing a battery test. Needed the laptop for work today. Wifi and mid-brightness. Haven't even got time yet to mess with the power options, let's see how it handles.

Congrats! You see, miles better than your old Clevo. ;)

So you're not authorized by Assismática to upgrade ram and ssd's on your own...? For me that makes Inphtech the only store worth buying from in Portugal.
