all cpus are indeed underclockable and undervoltable, using either intel xtu or the latest throttlestop, for example :)
more than 4-5 hours is completely unrealistic for such a machine, sorry to burst your bubble :D rather expect around 3 hours, not more :) what you can do:

    - force idle clocks on cpu and undervolt
    - force idle clocks on gpu (nvidia inspector) and undervolt (not possible yet unfortunately unless custom vbios is flashed)
    - shut off keyboard backlight
    - windows powerplan powersaving
    - set minimum display brightness
    - enable flight mode in clevo control center (switches off all network adapters)

with these modifications u can expect around 30-60 minutes more battery life.

Thank you, are you able to install Ubuntu 15.04 (not just run live sessions)?

I know that VM Workstation 12 works with Ubuntu 15.04 virtual machines because I can run them on my Alienware so I'm currently leaning towards the hardware issue.

Oh...this 775P is awesom! Would be nice know at least wich month it could be expected for sale, and see some specs aswell. Probably makes sense to wait until addition info and then choose between 770 and 775.
Is I am right so chassis suppose to be compatible with new 980 and normal 970M/980M MXM 3.0b cards?
@XMG , not sure If you could provide this info, but would be possible to buy it with normal 970/980M?
Actually I dont need more GPU power, just like a style of chassis and better cooling.

I got two bug in my p751dm-g :

When I turn off my computer the screen shut down but keyboard and fans stay on. I had to force the computer to shut down by pressing a long time the reset button.

When I close the screen it don't want to standby, the computer stay on.

And sometimes this two bugs does not occur.

To be honest this isn't my area of expertise, but I know that there are not any reported issues and some other members on here are running without problems. I would expect it is not a hardware issue that you are experiencing but would defer to more experienced VM users on here for advice.

No problem! I made a note of who asked for photos and tagged you rather than just suddenly posting a hige gallery ;-)

Yes, current plan is before Christmas!

Yes, the P775 / XMG U716 will be available with 965M/970M/980M/180W GTX 980. GPU thermal headroom in the P75x and P77x isn't a problem from what I have seen, so the decision would be aesthetic rather than practical (perhaps unless you intend to extreme OC a 980M).

As far as I know, this is incorrect. The Batman/Batman 2.0 ships with only one type of heatsink, and its the same regardless of which CPU/GPU you choose.

EDIT: Ah I see, you meant a new heatsink for Pascal. True, thought you meant a new heatsinks for the 980M.

I am also experiencing the keyboard and fan issue. I also have another issue where my machine goes into hibernation mode instead of sleep despite sleep not being enabled anywhere in Windows.

You can see that @Atreide is having similar issues with VM software that runs otherwise fine on other hardware (my older Alienware m14xr2). I bought this machine to use virtual machines and run games so it's quite critical that it does the same thing as my old machine just better and faster.

Noticed a little bug, when the GPU activates my OC boost of x42/x42/x42/x42 resets to stock 40/40/40/42 and doesn't move even when setting it to x50 at max x83 it freezed tho. Have to restart the machine and then OC works again till i Start up Valley or Wildstar

Edit: Quick test, @ 42/42/42/42 my CPU maxes out at 86 °C when using XTU Stress test for 5 Minutes. VID is at 1.3v. Just undervolted -50mV CPU maxes out right now (still stressing) at 78 °C.

in nbr forum, go to "the throttlestop guide" thread. It is version 8 beta 4. Also, the voltage seems right. It is more power hungry but handles voltage better!

Edit: don't know if skylake support is added yet...

Yep i know i just expected a bit more, changed the Chi Mei from my previous P771ZM 4 times. First maxed out at 140hz but started to make vertical stripes after 75hz, second maxed at 96hz, third did same as first one but even at stock 60 and the last one did 114hz with no issues.

Will ask my reseller today if i can change my 980M to a 980M-G and pay the premium price, P751DM-G without the proper GPU seems bit unreasonable. Or there exists a modification do force gsync in non gsync 9x0M

Since we have a pictures for 775DM, isn`t now a time to create independent thread for it? Becouse now I am interesting in this model and want to discuss a bit.
For example: doest 775DM has some additional lights like 770 in front under keyboard and 870DM on the top?

Guys, can someone explain this panel stuff to me like I'm 5?

If we're talking about the G-Sync model which panels are coming? I thought they all had the good LG one. Are they all 75Hz, overclockable to 100Hz?

    What about non G-sync models?

    Thanks!

No not all are 75hz, there is only one atm for the 17 inch P77xDM. Here is a list of the to date known GSync Panels. And overclockable to 100hz? It depends, it's the same when OCing GPU or CPU, it's silicon lottery. And i had a non-Gsync at first but only had some sort of Preview Sample Notebook wich was equipped with a TN Chi Mei which absolutely looked horrendous, 60hz and i had very bad colors and i could see vertical lines everywhere, almost looked like interlaced mode.

I'm still on the verge to look what i should do, i contacted my reseller and he said to me that he doesn't even know about a G-Sync approved 9x0M and he can't help me with that :(. Before i sent in my P751DM i had to unequip my 980M and put it away and send the non-G back and i actually recevied a P751DM-G, but you guess, without the proper GPU. I mean i never actually bought the Gsync Model so that's still nice but what does it help without the proper GPU, i actually have absolutely no clue now what to do, i thinking about contacting Clevo themselfes cause they can check my S/N of the NB and or GPU i guess, the second option would be buying another screen like the AUO one or Samsung and hope i could get at least 80hz out of it.

    Thanks man.
Talking about the 17" DM GSync, the 60Hz LG panel should be overclockable to 75Hz amirite?
    How can I check if I got a GSync or non-GSync 980?

Guys, does the P770DM-G I ordered have Optimus? (an integrated Intel Graphics) or not? I hope to God that it doesn't, I've had nothing but headaches with Optimus trying to force apps to run on the dedicated GPU rather than the crappy Intel Graphics.

Or if it did have an Intel Graphics, I wish it can be completely disabled in BIOS like with the Alienware, you have to press FN + F5 to reboot and switch GPUs completely where the other GPU wouldn't even be active when using the selected GPU

Although the CPU will have the integrated graphics, it is not connected anyhow. No Intel-hassle. All the benefits of having no Optimus are on-board. ;)

Guys, I am ordering right now P770DM from XOTIC, but someone pointed me to if the panel is G-sync or not? In TOXIC website they dont mention anything about it.
    Also, is it 17.3" FHD - LG LP173WF4-SPD1 - 75Hz or, 17.3" FHD - LG LP173WF4-SPF1 - 60Hz?

Does anyone know anything about it plseas?

I've seen the cards for sale, you can get 980M g-sync cards but this is very new and not exactly easy to wrap your head around so don't expect all resellers to understand what you are going on about.

sounds like i'm bit ****ed right now :p but nevertheless this shouldn't sound like a rant about the NB i enjoy it very much, but in some points i miss my old killer P771ZM :D. Even tried to install W7 UEFI but nope it insta grey-screened, looks like i have to wait for some Prema action. W8.1 isn't running that great, i tried, it randomly freezes in Windows itself, and sometimes even stays powered on when doing a Shutdown even with Fastboot disabled.

Edit: Just for the lolz i tried a fast 4.5Ghz run on my 6700k with -50mV. I'm impressed with the temps without modding anything yet.

Does the Clevo 770DM-G have an optical drive? I haven't seen one in the pics. I just noticed this, if it doesn't I need to order an external BluRay RW Drive

Hi guys, I have some questions.

Does Clevo P771DM-G and it's LG LP173WF4-SPD1 panel is overclocked to 75Hz or it's native 75hz?

How many of you tried Overclocking 6700k (delidded or not)? As we know Skylake is a bit cooler than Haswell, so... little OC (~~200mhz) is possible without huge issues?

And the last question to P7XX owners: does screen frame is seriously too much flexible (in very negative meaning)?

you simply need to create a custom refresh rate from the nVIDIA Control Panel and choose the refresh rate you want.

The Ubuntu 15.04 issue I was having is a kernel problem with Skylake. Ubuntu 15.10 released today installs without problems. I am guessing Kali 2.0 is using the same kernel as Ubuntu 15.04.

Yes you can. All 17" G-SYNC laptops that I know of use the same FHD 60Hz LG IPS panel, and some are advertised as being 75Hz...those are just being factory OC'd by the OEMS.

    Guys help me please .

I still do not have the G -Sync in my NVIDIA panel. I have the latest driver yet .. I called my dealer and he does not know why .. I have G- Sync sticker on my P771DM - G .. How to fix this by myself ?

Got same probiem (not turning off under win10). I think many people got it, just not so many is willing to share their issue if someone else found it.

This + forcing me to modify hardware id in every nvidia drivers in order them to see my 980M G-sync its a bit annoying (p750dm-g).
