I dont know as we dont talk to them about their stock. You'll want to contact them directly for stock levels.
Edit: Sounds like there wasn't a delay, just lack of stock. They did get their initial shipment so I think no Sager sellers would have gotten some as well.

I have a big problem. My 2x8GB Rams are not working together. They are dual kit ram. Single ram working but togetger blue screen error. Memory management error, cache manager error, page fault in nonpaged area error.
I ask my technical services. They are sent me 2 new 8GB RAM.
I tested my rams with Memtest86+. Single module is OK, 2 modules Together = Errors. -
did u test both stick in single mode and in each possible port? could be either one stick or either one ram port being faulty.

Hutsady, do you know what the difference is between the NP8651 and the NP8652 IPS displays are? They have different descriptions on Xotics website.

Thanks again. -

The latest for Sager and the Resellers is...
NP8651 Sharp 4K after 1/6
NP8651 IPS after 12/30
NP8651 FHD/Matte after 12/17
NP8652 Samsung 4K after 12/27
NP8652 IPS after 12/17
Sorry about this delay....Last edited: Dec 11, 2014 -

Unless of course you made the cut on the first shipment of Sharp 4K screens like I did
Should hopefully have my NP8651 by Christmas (fingers crossed)! -

Hi guys,
Is it normal to have multiple blue screens and display driver crashes? I received this laptop about a week ago, and since then have had random blue screen crashes with display driver problems. I have also been trying to run Final Fantasy XIII on this computer. As can be seen in the system requirements, a 970m should be absolutely plenty. However, I've been getting choppy framerates, stuttering every 2-3 seconds, and multiple blue screen crashes.
This is getting ridiculous - I'm not hard to please, but I'm beginning to feel like I should return this laptop and ask for a refund. Thoughts? -

This is my second Sager unit, and I had not had these problems with my previous laptop. The experience is leaving a bitter taste in my mouth. -
hey everybody,
i have been reading forums on here for a couple years but only just made myself an account. i'm excited to be a part of this amazing community!
i have decided on gettting a P650SG. Here are the specs that I am thinking at the moment.
15.6" FHS 1080P IPS LCD Matte Type
GTX 980M
i7-4720 (2.6 GHz to 3.6 GHz)
IC Diamond Thermal Compound - CPU + GPU
Genuine Microsoft Windows® 8.1 Professional 64-Bit Edition
16GB DDR3L 1600MHz - 2 X 8GB
Samsung® 256GB 850 Pro Series SSD
Intel® Dual Band - AC 7265 M.2 Wireless LAN + Bluetooth Module 4.0
I have three questions.
1. Is it worth it to get the "No dead/partially lit pixels for the first 30 days" guarantee?
2. Options I should consider for the build and why?
3. I'm debating on whether to conduct my business with Mythlogic or LPC-Digital. Reasons to pick one over the other and why? Or any other companies to consider and why?
I live in the U.S. btw so no companies out of the country
one last thing to consider. mythologic has Crucial DDR3 1600MHz CL11 1.5V and LPC-Digital has Kingston HyperX DDR3L 1600 MHz CL9 1.35V
i dont know how much a difference there is between those two so any input on that would be appreciated at well
thanks! -

Alternatively, your reseller is the very embodiment of evil, they've intentionally misled you about the memory voltage requirements of this laptop, and having successfully pulled one over on you have undoubtedly absconded to some tropical isle with all the extra $$$ they've made by their deception. You should probably return the laptop to these rogues forthwith, and demand not only a refund, but treble damages and a public apology. Or something to that effect.tfast500 likes this. -

Well 1.5V modules can work but you would be in a way overclocking it so stability is not guaranteed. Any 1.35V stick should work at 1.5V.

A lot of us have had very similar issues with random frequent BSODs over on the P35X v3 thread. Sounds like the exact same issue. They've collectively established that it looks like an issue with NVIDIA and Intel Chipset drivers, or something like that. I never got to try the solutions out because I had to return mine due to faulty Intel 7260.
Speaking of wireless cards - what's the difference between the Killer 1202 and Killer 1525? Other than one supporting N and the newer one AC of course. I've asked Scan to be upgraded to the newer card, as it wasn't an option when I ordered all those millennia ago and it costs the same account of money, so they should be able to swap it into my order without any trouble *crossing my fingers!*

regarding those BSOD i do not have any of those BSOD on my SG within the few hours of gaming i had on this laptop. We'll see. But if it's a common problem probably a BIOS/EC update could fix this. But maybe you have a faulty 970M -
That's weird, i checked sager website and they offered the same 1080p ips matte screen.
15.6 FHD 16:9 LED Backlit Wide screen (1920x1080) Super Clear Matte Type Sager IPS Screen(SKU - SSC878)- [ETA: Dec.19]
So from what I understand, the 1080p screen is already in stock with sager, the notebook will arrive at sager ard 19th, the screen will be installed then ship to customer?

My display is definitely randomly changing in brightness/ backlight levels are going up and down, even when I'm not on battery. Does anyone have an idea why the hell this is happening? It's so frustrating.
Adaptive brightness is off in Windows, and I also turned off the option in the Intel control panel to reduce screen brightness to save power. I also made it so that the brightness is always at 100%. Either the display is on 100%, or it turns itself off if I haven't done anything for 10 minutes.
I was thinking at first that I might just be imagining it, but I'm not. When I'm looking at a white background, it's really obvious. Or when I start watching a video in fullscreen, the brightness will change after a few seconds. The brightness settings in the hotkeys is always at max (no icon appears onscreen when the brightness seems to change), but something in the display is changing on its own.
A quick Google search just gives me lots of results of people who need to turn off adaptive brightness in Windows. Not much help... :/
Anyone? Please? -
check your intel and nvidia drivers for display options pertaining to adaptive brightness, maybe thats where the culprit lies...

Yes : NVIDIA PRISM -
At this stage I've:
-Disabled adaptive brightness in Windows, and made sure it's disabled for all power profiles
-Disabled power reduction for the screen in the Intel control panel
-Also disabled film mode and contrast improvement in the Intel panel
-Disabled the SensrSvc service, which changes the brightness of the display based on lighting conditions
-Opened the control center for the laptop (by holding Fn+Esc) and changed Energy Saving mode to "performance". I have no idea if it affects screen dimming, but it's worth a shot.
-Looked for any kind of relevant option in the Nvidia control panel. All I see is "power management mode", but it seems that it only affects GPU clocks and performance, not the display brightness. Plus, it's not like my 980M is running most of my programs anyway, on which I'm seeing dimming (Steam, WordPad, Firefox outside of videos, etc.).
So I'm pretty much stumped at this stage.Last edited: Dec 12, 2014 -
But so far it sounds like you may have a lemon. I would definitely get with your reseller and get it exchanged.Last edited: Dec 12, 2014mcswift101 likes this. -

It should be above "Ecran" and "Veille", which correspond to "screen" and "sleep". I turned the SensrSvc onto automatic and rebooted, thinking that might have an effect, but the brightness option still isn't there.
Weird.
I just don't understand why the hell so many things are going wrong. The laptop plays games great, and I'm pretty damn sure I know how to install Windows and a set of drivers correctly (I bought my SSD separately and did my install myself).
I don't want to return, but I'm losing patience. I probably should. -
Or directly from here: Clevo - Intel VGA P650SE
It's a slow download, but will get there eventually.mcswift101 likes this. -

Thanks for all the tips. I've checked my event viewer as well, and I also have multiple (4) ID41 events in the past week alone, each associated with a BSOD. They are exactly the same, and are labeled Kernel-Power.
Additionally, may I receive a confirmation as to whether a 1.5V memory will work and reasonably be expected to be stable? I wouldn't mind being able to use my 16GB 1.5V memory rather than staying with an 8GB memory. Perhaps that will help the issue... -
OK, thanks. How do I go about uninstalling the old drivers? Just through "uninstall a program"?
You know, I restarted my computer a while ago, and now everything seems fine. Whether on battery or not, the brightness seems to be staying the same. Before, brightness clearly went down when I switched to a black/ grey screen, and went back up when switching to a predominantly bright one.
Perhaps one of the changes I made actually had an effect?
I guess the best thing to do is keep an eye on things, and then reinstall the Intel HD drivers if I notice a problem again. -

Edit: Verified with Sager they are currently the exact same screens. On our site we list LG specifically on the NP8651 and not the NP8652. Updating that now to avoid the confusion.Last edited: Dec 12, 2014 -
Scan have confirmed 1525 in my laptop. In fact, apparently the 1202 is actually incompatible with the motherboard so I was guaranteed a 1525 anyway!
Edit: laptop is now built and at the installing software stage! Next step is the 24 hour burn-in test.

Not sure if it's worth getting or just going for the 3k ips they offer tbh..it's not a huge cost difference either way.
