Thanks for your answer, really appreciate your help. From what you say I'll be comfy, but a P-shaped Ethernet plug could still help.
I want to get the 1080p screen too. Unfortunately, both of the resellers here in Italy do not satisfy me - one offers the 3K panel only, while the other offers the TN 1080p and a crappy 2 year warranty which for me is simply not enough, since I want my purchase to last at least three years.

All of your remarks are completely right, maybe the 970M suits better with the 1080p screen. But since I'll have to order the laptop from XMG, which takes ages just to respond to an email, it may be worth the wait. If I had more time I'd get the ZM, but getting the machine before Christmas is my priority...

I have a P2715Q coming in from Dell. Would the 980M be mandatory if I plan on using this display in 4K the majority of the time. I won't be driving both displays but would most likely have the lid closed only driving the 4K.

Games I plan on playing WOT, COD AW, Battlefield, etc.

    Thanks

When did they say that? It's listed on their website as 25th November. Is that out of date?

I know mySN have an ETA of the 3rd December.

You could just get a different 1080p IPS panel for like 100 dollars and install it yourself too. That's what a lot of people are going to be doing here.

The Sager site claims a starting price of $1,649. WIndows 8.1 is most likely included in that price. So you're looking at around $1550ish range without an OS.

LOL.. I can't place my order with PC specialist as they are out of stock of 2 components I want.

    GIGABIT LAN & KILLER™ 1525 WIRELESS GAMING 802.11N + BLUETOOTH 4.0 (ETA: 12-12-2014)

    NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 980M - 4.0GB DDR5 Video RAM - DirectX® 11 (ETA: 25-11-2014)

Yeah, your solution is trivial. But these Italian resellers told me that if I swap the panel I'll lose the warranty on the laptop. Sooo...

Sager notebooks rarely ever come with OS in price. $1649 is likely the cost WITHOUT OS.

That's crazy. Find a different reseller then, or go to some place like Sager directly. Plus they wouldn't know if you swapped the LCD, really. It should be as simple as pop off the bezel, remove a handful of screws, disconnect the connector, and replace. Just swap out the LCD should you ever really need any warranty work. Most Clevo/Sager resellers are pretty relaxed about component swapping, they just obviously won't warranty the swapped component.

weeeell, ETA is not to be confused with the actual delivery date :) especially when it comes to the very first shipment of units! both infos can actually be true, with ETA of units at the vendor being dec 3rd-9th and actual delivery to the customer being dec. 20th. especially considering that theres gonna be a backlog of orders that has to be processed...

    here's the updated P650SG clevo page :
    藍天Clevo

    28.8mm
We can have a little idea on how tall the laptop is, according to the (small) pics.

Also probably a 4980HQ version will be available. (not probably, it's sure), confirming that indeed the CPU cooling has been improved by this thicker version, at least passively because of the increased height.
the 3k screen is supposed to be a factory option but only Pcspecialist took it.
    Same Lipo than the SE.

They updated their website quite soon, is the first ETA to ressellers the right one after all ^^ ? november 25th to get to the main resellers ? I'm just comparing with how they managed the p650SE page.

Getting both P651SG and P751ZM hopefully. Selling my old machines from 2010-2012 to reduce costs. Already have 2.3k covered. Just need the refund from the P35x and possibly my P150EM to get enough for all without loss.
