Then its preference of size! 17.3 to me is more immersive and not much bigger than 15.6 but its up to you considering you wanted a gs43 which is much smaller.

Try locking at 56. 58 is often to close to 60 and the vsync will still turn off sometimes. It's clearly a GSync panel otherwise the option doesn't even show up in the control center, and I bet its working fine, you just need to mess with settings. In a game with VSync any frame drops drop you to 30 fps, if that's not happening GSync is working.

1060 is pretty much fine for most 1080p games out today on ultra. 1070 is entry level 4k and overkill for almost all 1080p games. In the future 1060 may require lowering settings, whereas 1070 shouldn't. But it's all just speculation.

Hey guys, I'm just wondering if anyone has the (real) weight of the laptop as opposed to the manufacturer's specs. I lug a computer to and from work and 2.5/2.6kg without power brick is kinda pushing it and sometimes manufacturers tend to underreport the weight

So I got Allen to respond to my email about the latest bios and it seems like I already have it:
"the current BIOS version is 1.05.03."

Also after undervolting my cpu to -100 mV my temps are all below 79C while playing the BF1 beta on ultra settings. (6700HQ 1070)

Will recieve my P650RP6-G tomorrow ^^. Will post my finding later here..gotta salvage my 850 pro ssd from my old laptop first. Placed my order tomorrow 2 weeks ago so it took ehm not that long compared to some of you here (laptopplus, Netherlands). Also purchased some gelid gc extreme to repaste the stock paste so i will make a comparision between those as well when i got time.

edit: not yesterday but tomorrow on a thursday (25-08-2016)

Well on the bright side. I just checked savers sight and if u order now it says eta is the 9th. So I shouldn't be any later than that I guess...will continue refreshing page though! Btw are the drivers on sagers site the best to use or is it better to go straight to Intel for instance?

Is this the same laptop? My question was based off this (I'd love to be wrong though because I'd totally get one):
EDIT: Image wouldn't show. Was a screenshot of the weight in the specs highlighted.

I have 6820HK overclocked to 4.1 ghz and I experience no CPU throttling on CPU tests with temps maxing at 85C.

(Of course the Moment the GPU starts, the CPU goes to ****, but that's another story.)

What is the issue with the Prema BIOS for the P650RS-G? If I buy from a reseller who does no offer the Prema BIOS will it be possible for me to get a copy and put it on myself?

ICCmax has nothing to do with GPU. But yes I've tried everything save for editing Bios/EC.

Anyone who BOTHERS TO CHECK the cpu during gaming has so far noticed the same phenomenon.

Then we will ship it to your California address. This is the latest ETA. This is an extremely in demand laptop, we are doing all we can.

Anything I can do? ~ change shipping address? sagers going to ship it via UPS ground so there goes the time... have it shipped to a UPS store near campus?

I also just poked around bios...wow...clevo truly stripped out everything they could.

this has me curious though..support for two cpu besides 6700HQ and 6820HK that we will never see.

Yea I guess I could do that. I only will be about an hour and a half from home so I could also just go back for a weekend or something and pick it up. Bigger problem was I wanted to be able to download everything and get it all setup before hand. Now I'm going to have to do that on campus internet :/ and be without a laptop for an indefinite amount of time if this eta doesn't work either.

I placed an order at HIDEvolution today for an EVOC P650RS-G with a 4K screen, 6700HQ, 16 gigs of RAM and the Coollaboratory CPU + GPU compound.

What are the things to keep in mind once I receive it?

Enjoy it! :D but you may consider undervolting the CPU to reduce thermals across the board. Not sure what else there is to do out of the box. Also I believe the cool labs paste is only applied to the CPU, not the GPU unless it's changed since I last looked.

    You're right!
    Thermal Paste
Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra 100% Metal Thermal Interface on CPU, IC Diamond on GPU - BEST PERFORMANCE

This is what my quotation says! Also, Donald from HIDEvolution explained to me over a call that the light bleed people have been experiencing on their laptops is an inherent feature of any IPS display panel, whether it's FHD OR 4K. I'll be running most games on either FHD or 2K so the GPU should be able to handle most of the stuff I throw at it.

This is because @Donald@HIDevolution said it works better on the cpu while the benefits are minimal on the gpu (compared to IC Diamond at least). I have no idea why that's the case since they are both delidded but whatever, I dont doubt it.

Are you sure about the P670RP6 having the SABRE DAC? Just asking because Clevo doesn't list it for this model:

That'll mean V-Sync will just kick in, because G-Sync stops working above 60 fps. Without V-Sync and without FPS cap you go above the refresh rate where G-Sync stops working.
Should be able to cap the fps just below 60 and have G-Sync without V-Sync (lowest amount of input lag without tearing) but that doesn't work.

It might just be working then with a 58 fps cap and v-sync on, because it's smooth and there's no input lag as i can feel of (there is probably, but not v-sync amounts) also no drops to 30 and no tearing.
It's just weird that it doesn't work with V-sync off, but that might be because it's too close to 60 then.

G-Sync is actually really confusing, if you do some research about it there are no clear set-ups and A LOT of people saying all kinds of different things.
I just know it's much easier using it at 1440p 144Hz because you're so unlikely to go over the refresh rate :p
    Thanks!

I ordered that exact same model from the exact same reseller! I was hoping on getting it in before the 15th but seeing as you are only getting it after 2 weeks... I guess i won't be able to take it with me to college the first couple days (ordered mine the 4th of Sept.). I do have a couple of questions with the order status, right now i'm at : Waiting for Shipping (wachten op verzending) but what are all the other status that it has? Also, i ordered mine with the Arctic Extreme 4 Cooling paste already on the CPU, is it bad or anything as i see you are applying your own thermal paste? (Just wondering.)

    Hello,
has anyone try buying laptops from XTREEM.pl? If yes how reliable they are?
We dont have any Clevo resellers here in Lithuania, so my other best options seems to be either PCSpecialist or Obsidian. But not sure which one to choose as price difference for similar setup is very small.

Yes, my bad you're right about the g-sync turning off past native refresh rate. I did some research and this is what I found. The v-sync is never turned on as long as you cap the fps below the native refresh rate, for example capping at 58~59fps for 60hz monitors. G-sync are 100% always turned on while v-sync is always turned off regardless of setting in Nvidia Control Panel. If the monitor refresh rate is 75hz, fps should be kept right under, for example 73~74fps. G-sync uses variable refresh rate technology, so basically you are gaming at rapidly different refresh rates depending on fps. It shouldn't really matter what fps you cap it as long as present fps does not equal or exceed the native refresh rate. However, you want the most out of it which is why you just have to experiment with the fps capping for different games because of latency issues. Something like 59.x fps cap might work or might not work depending on what software you use for fps capping. As long as g-sync is on at fps cap safely lower than native refresh rate, v-sync should automatically be turned off and there should not be signs of tearing or input lag. If there is, there is definitely something wrong.

I posted something about 1070 models should be offered a 120hz g-sync capable panel because if the gpu easily surpasses 60hz or 75hz, g-sync is basically useless because it turns off, hence a 120hz g-sync panel would make sense so much more because there are AAA title games at ultra 1080p where it does go over 60 or 75 plenty, but does not reach 120fps at most times. I think 60hz g-sync panel for 1060 is good enough though.

I truly don't understand why GSync can't continue to work at 60fps, I couldn't believe when I found that out, that's like the stupidest aspect I could imagine, it doesn't actually work if you can run the game well, you instead have to cap it on your own.

I've also heard that 75Hz is the sweet spot for gsync. So now I'm confused.
