Tried. Failed. 344 is it for now.
Its lower... But you can overclock higher. But with a flat heatsink (good luck) you can run 4.2GHz@70W 150A. Try it stock..... Max fans fn+1... Won't happen.

Ok so I got my new laptop. It is allot bigger then I thought it would be. Its a very cool laptop :)

    BUT

I can't tell if they sent the wrong graphics cards or not. that is they are the right cards ( Dual GTX 980M in SLI), but I think they may added 4gb versions instead of 8gb versions.

When I run HWiNFO64 or the Nvidia CP it says I have 8GB, but when I run XTU or CPU-Z it says 4gb.
I have the 344 drivers installed (they came with them)

I think they only have 4gb each.

Am I supposed to set up something with them?

Is there any 120 HZ screens for this computer? I couldn't find any and I want an 120HZ... 95% glossy color gamut if possible. Is noone making any screens for this laptop?

There is no high gamut high refresh rate panel. You can still get the 120hz cable and fit the right 120hz panel yourself if you like I believe.

Some programs don't support detecting 8gb of vram still ;)

I am seriously considering this laptop Sager NP9377-S with Dual SLI 980M's. Is this the correct thread?

    Also ...

Can you please explain to me why you choose this laptop in great detail?

    Also ...

Can you give me a brief comparison to why you choose this laptop over these:

    1. MSI GT72 Dominator Pro
    2. GS60 Ghost Pro
    3. Sager NP8652
    4. Auros X7 Pro
    5. Anything else your were thinking about ...

I suggest you go to the "what notebook should I buy" thread and put in your requirements there.

You posted machines from every corner of the gaming market and in totally different shapes and sizes.

I have done that and it did not work.

All of these processors upgradeable? They are all not soldered right?

    4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-4710MQ Processor ( 6MB L3 Cache, 2.50GHz) [-$880.00]
    4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-4810MQ Processor ( 6MB L3 Cache, 2.80GHz) [-$745.00] Back Order! (ETA: 12/30/2014)
    4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-4910MQ Processor ( 8MB L3 Cache, 2.90GHz) [-$510.00]
    4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-4940MX Processor Extreme Edition ( 8MB L3 Cache, 3.1GHz )

Which one has enough power to power 980M SLI in this laptop?

GM I have seen you told several times about posting multiple posts one after the other rather than editing...

The CPU is always socketed in this model so can be swapped out for any model of the same series. Any of them will do fine at gaming, though for higher refresh rate displays the higher CPU speed can help.

Which one would you recommend for Dual SLI 980M for getting started? I don't think I want to buy the extreme right this second but knowing that I could upgrade it in the future is really nice.

Which one is good for starting out with?

For this model the 4810mq with the ability to run 4 core 4Ghz should do the trick.

    Nice. Thank you.

If i build it out that way the laptop is around 3700.00 dollars.

About the same price for the high end GT72 Dominator.

This way you get SLI 980M.

There is no contest with 980m SLI it seems.

Do you think it's possible to carry this laptop in a bag around campus?

My mind is pretty much blown... My desktop scores X5706 on a superclocked 780 Ti. And that's not really fair because I have a 4.7GHz chip. http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/9191237

    My laptop scores X7813. http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/9180862

The fans never kick on, temps stay below 87C with no fans on (average mid 80s)... Simply amazing.

4940MX @ 70W, 150A to run it at 4.1GHz most of the time but throttles when needed, 32GB 1600, 2x240GB msata in raid 0, two 1TB storage drives, Windows 8.1, 120hz screen, Blu-ray burner.

Never played BF4 but I highly doubt this machine would have an issue...

That's the exact way I would like to build it.

Could you carry that around campus in a bag or would it be just to tough?

Buy a Targus XL bag for it... Its a HUGE machine. Slightly thicker than my M17xR1 was. And the power brick is huge.

I wouldn't carry it around too much. The lid has some flex... Ask someone who carried it around if they've had an issue.

Gentleman's. Just want to become an owner of one of this flying machine in few month ;-) Can you pls advise me about ddr memory? I remember that sbdy mentioned allready this. But please be patient....it takes two day to read this 70 pages. So.
DDR3 Kingston HX321LS11IBK2/16 SODIMM 2133 mhz. Will it work? Or better not to try and order 1866mhz. I will need all 32 gigs as far as one of OS is 40 gigs size > :) . So yes, it's required some memory. :'( thank you.

Wow! I love this laptop!!! The version I have is the EUROCOM X8, the review I found on this is here:
    EUROCOM X8 (Clevo P375SM) Notebook Review - NotebookCheck.net Reviews

Though as pointed out in the first comment is the X8 by Eurocom uses the "Clevo P 377SM-A" not the "Clevo P375SM"
Oh, and I do infact have the correct Vram in my 980's (8gb ea.) :) Yah!

I live in Jordan, and unfortunately it is not available there, so I will order both the laptop and bag from outside, and the shipping alone will cost a lot and it will be difficult if not impossible to return them since returning the bag will probably cost me more than its price.

You need to give yourself 3 inch clearance for the machine and another 2.5 for the brick. Targus XL should work fine but since it's not steel like Alienware make sure it has room to move or you'll crack the screen.

They aren't steel. Anodized aluminum I think... Mine weighed 15 pounds with the brick. I think the new ones changed materials.

Yeah, but still the build quality is great! Was testing my R4's lid and even with the plastic, due to the metal, there is some strength in the lid.. Also I believe the AW18 is 5.5kgs and that's without the 1.5kg power adapter :)
