Not sure if bad chip, I can do 3.8 @ 65W with -40mV offset. I tried using LU but even after 2 applications it was really bad, temps went straight to 90s on load and throttling. I tried pooling it but same must be big gap between heatsink n die.
How did you apply the LU?
-
I think it has to do with the C clips on the back of the cooler in my case but some heatsinks have full rings (and those work with CLU). I don't want to remove the C clips and crack the die though.
BTW I looked at my notes. Stock VID was. 1.212v

They were fine as long as the soundblaster x-fi software was installed. Subwoofer won't work without it.
And Yay ups just emailed me, my 980M machine will be here tomorrow!

Yay my Eurocom chassis (isn't that a strange word... chassis) arrived at HIDevolution today!
If they can ship it by Wednesday I will have it on Friday!! (paid overnight delivery, but holidays and all.. figures)
then I can lay this poor Samsung R580 to rest -
Congrats! I finally got rid of the 880M mess too. Love ups my choice. Tells me when a package is coming, Sager didn't send me an email that they were sending it back so I'd have had no idea.

HIDevolution sends you the tracking number once it ships -

As for the fans, its not the fans that are the problem. These fans are stronger than the ones in the Alienware 18. The problem is there isn't a cut out large enough to move that kind of air. Look at the CPU cover on the bottom. Tiny little slits which are used to pull the air through.

That's for the 370 but it applies to the 377 for the most part as well.

I wonder where he got the extra bottom cover from.
Would you (or any of you) ever consider doing that to your bottom cover?Last edited: Dec 23, 2014 -

It does actually seem to make allot of sense. Maybe a little finer mesh though as the one hes using seems pretty big. In any case, It definitely seemed to drop his temps allot.Ethrem likes this. -

Certainly something up, should be far away from there unless you are heavily overclocking.

Well, I think he's saying IF his cards hit those temps, he would do the mod, not that they are. I think hes still waiting to get them.
And on that note, my laptop is in testing and if all is well, they will ship it today and send me the tracking number in a few hours!! So as I got overnight shipping, I'm hoping I'll get it friday (but with this being the holidays, you never know) -
Lol. 84 without the fans kicking up... These cards are ice cold. Their CPU heatsink replacement? No more than 79 I @ a. 1.211v.... They finally gav me the machine I paid for. Sager for life

Not even remotely upset. And that's without Prema.
Drivers? A bigger mess... Has to be the 344 drivers... or it won't work, even with the modded INFLast edited: Dec 24, 2014Shadow-Tek likes this. -
Not flashing Prema... not doing any mods.... these cards MAXED at 84C with the fans on LOW.
And yes I'm well aware Prema unlocks PCIe 2... but I don't need a brick. Although I noticed they sent it back with the same BIOS I had... makes me think MXM was finally fixed. -
Cool Ethrem! Those look awesome! Thanks for posting that.

Better than 98% of all results!

May get a gtx 980m card tomorrow. Sweet can't wait to see how it compares with the 970m already in the system.

It's a fair bit faster since it has more of everything.

This machine flies... And that's without XTU. And to boot they replaced the CPU heatsink right? Well I don't pass 77 stock now... Was 10C higher before. Video cards haven't even kicked to second gear (you'd know... Its like from 20 perfect to 80 immediately) and temps haven't passed 84... Let me fire up sleeping dogs.

Google that title and though I only posted it here, you will find it and my post on quite a few sites. Many times under a username other then mine.

My post on some site under a different username:

Ive seen allot of sites with my post. Strange. This site gets ripped off by allot of other sites. -
Got something for you guys later. Biggest burner was sleeping dogs for me.... No max fans. 1 hour. Plus the drop on max and min from CPU and GPU... And average speeds.

Hello I'm new owner of the NP9377-S and I have a question I'm hoping to get an answer for. My question is does the NP 9377-S come with the Modular MXM 3.0b by default? Thank you very much for your time reading my question.
-
Yes, the 9377-S has 2 MXM3.0B GPU/GPU slots...

Need Help - How Hard to replace GPUs?
I have 880m Sli in my Sager in this model. How difficult is it to replace these to 980m sli? I've never done any sort of upgrade like that myself before. Thoughts?
Also, best place to buy the parts if I try to do this myself?
Thanks. -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
The parts are sold on the members market here, eBay and some resellers. If you follow instructions and are careful it is fairly simple. You may want to contact your reseller as they may do it for you depending on who you got it from.

You can get them from laptopvideo2go.com or the advanced download options at nvidia.com have a couple of old versions iirc.

Liquid Ultra seems waaaay to risky simply for a few degrees lower
On another note, I get the whole overclock thing, but risk vs reward doesn't seem worth it IMO. I got the 4940MX specifically so I would not have to worry about OC. Is 200GHz extra really gonna make that big of a difference outside of benchmarking? IDK? -
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Outside o benchmarking no it wont.
