I've got an interesting project in mind but my P370EM isn't here yet, so, does anyone know how much space there is above a bare CPU (i.e. no heatsink)? If it's more than 30mm my little idea might be in with a chance. If not there then I need to find another spot with more like 45mm height which is gonna be tricky. Basic idea is watercooling, spotted a way it could potentially work but I wanna do it myself before I get anyone's hopes up.

I dnt know exactly how much height but i can
    Say its tight for sure.
My temps are okay now on my system but i
Went ahead n ordered a new thermal paste
And some thermal pads and copper pads,
My plan is to do a new repaste and use the
Thermal pads to close the small gap between
The fan and the radiator,so basically the thermal
Pads are used on top and the copper pads on
    Small gap at the sides.
Some might not get wat am saying lol but
As soon as i recieve and if my test worked well
The ill post a step by step to do it.

I thought you were writing in the form a poem then, why all the lines of text there Moudine?

The primary cpu fan is pretty thin so 3cm might be asking too much there.

If you are having issues with something feel free to PM me, I checked back in my message box and could not see one, or shoot an email off to the office if there are any other issues.

If you just post on the forum and we don't have time to hit the forums it can be easily missed.

Hi there, got a question about sound in p370em.

If I will buy an 5.1 sound system for my laptop.
Will it work properly with laptop without any known sound issues of this model?

Do I need any kind of specific program or settings to make it work it a proper way?

It should work with no problems. While the NP9370 does have better sound then the lower models it still could be better. Consider getting a USB soundcard to get the most out of your new speakers.

I have a rather.. odd sounding question, but there are a lot of people who have this machine it seems so I'll ask away anyway.
I'm planning to get one of these a bit down the line (say August or so, hopefully with a haswell replacement for ivy bridge in a small revision =D) but I'm concerned about the longevity of the model and availability of parts down the line. As you can see from my sig I've got a Clevo D900F/Sager NP9280, and sadly I had one of the models that were phased out very quickly after its release. I bought it very shortly after it debuted and it's served me well (and BELIEVE ME I've pushed this to its limits time and time again) but there's a lot of broken and breaking parts in it and finding replacements is god awful. My model was phased out less than a year after it was released for the dual-GPU capable revision which changed the screen, keyboard, layout, heatsinks, upgradability, you name it.
I want to know if you guys think that a few years from now it'll still be easy enough if I'm to replace a keyboard, or the battery, etc and that parts won't be as hard to find for it as with my D900F. I don't want to have the same terrible timing so to speak. I would say it was a mistake, but it was one I had no way of knowing would happen, and I'd not have had a similarly-powered alternative (with mobile CPUs at least) until nearly a year and a half after I bought it, so I write it off as just bad luck/timing.

I'm pretty sure that 120Hz screen and SLI GPUs would carry me well for at least 5 years, that's not really a problem as it'd be current tech when I buy it, but if something does break down after 3-4 years and I've no need (or money) for a brand new system at the time I'd like to be able to fix up what I've got =D.

Hello folks, I am very interested in this laptop but haven't pushed the button yet because I don't know the difference between the Np9370 and the Np9370-3d

Is there something on the 3d version other than its 3d that makes it better than the original? I could care less about watching or playing in 3d but if there are other options that make the 3d version better, I haven't found them yet, that's why I come here to you...

I want to stick around the 3k mark on price with these specs - dual 680's sli, 3840qm, 16gb ram (4x4) killer wireless 1103, 3 yr warranty, win 8 pro

Also do you think they would exchange out the standard 750 hdd for a 256 msata for the OS? I have my two 512gb ssd drives now that I would be using for storage etc.

I think that covers my main question, thnx

Well the 3D version has a 120hz monitor. this means that if you play games and get 120fps or more you will see all 120fps instead of just 60fps. This makes games feel like they are more fluid and improves the gaming experience. I recently ordered my p370em3 and i had to go with 120hz monitor after getting used to my external 120hz.

I was comparing price difference between the 2 versions on xotics site without configuring them so the original is a stock screen and the 3d version is the 120hz so yes its $388 before configuring but actually you can add a 120hz screen on the original for $150 so what the screen actually costs I don't know...Confusing!!

edit...checked again and the 120hz screen on the original you can add for $150 does not say 3d but does says 120hz

Keep in mind the 3D version also comes with the 680M vs 7970M and the 120hz screen option on the non 3D version is not a 3D screen.
So the 3D version gets you the 680M, 3D screen, and 1x 3D glasses.

hey guys i've had my np9370 for about a month now and i've noticed on the left palm rest when you put pressure on it ( the bottom center ) it makes a clicking noise. does anyone else have this problem? its quite annoying when playing games and moving your hand around. other than that for people buying this computer i do recommend the 680m the 7970m is laggy in a few games

From what I've seen, it's supposed to do this. The whole pad can "click" but left/right clicks don't register unless you click it in the designated parts. It's a downside, but I don't think it's too much of an issue.

Hi, I have a Sager P9370-3D model, problem is that I can't get into the Bios setup screen with Del or Esc key when I boot up the system. I also can't use the 3D features as well now, after a couple of Nvidia graphic driver update the option to enable 3D stereoscopic function cannot be found in the Nvidia Control panel, please advise what can be done.

I want to overclock but the XM temps are high to begin with..

Some Crysis 3 temperatures with zero overclocking. 1920x1080, all settings and textures on very high except for the 2 shaders and shadow options put to low and zero AA (doesn't bother me so much):

Dam those 3920xm get hot my cpu temps don't go above 60c for any game. nice gpu temps. Sure is quite the difference for the slave gpu. When I get a second 680m i dont think im gonna beable to overclock it as much as the primary.

Thank you Prema, I have to remove the battery for it to work with F2 key pressed during boot-up.

Somehow I lost the 3D stereoscopic option settings in the Nvidia Control panel, it is no available in the setting, how do I get back the function and enable 3D again. I tried re-installing Nvidia graphics driver a couple of times but it is still not successfully, I have the latest Nvidia version 314.07 with 3D drivers installed.

It will not works, you need Intel HD graphic card and Centrino wireless card for the WiDi feature to works, the NP9370 does not have the Intel HD graphics installed.

Un-install the drivers and then use a free program called driver sweeper to clean the leftover NVidia files before installing the newest drivers again. Do this every time you install video drivers. Don't forget to re-enable SLI

I've seen them over 90*C bro.. I tried to overclock it, seeing how I do have the XM which is meant for it, and my computer crashed. Probably from overheating. Before I posted these temps I did one last thermal paste re-application and seemed to get it right as I've shaved 10-12 degrees.

Yes, those XM's are extremely hot. Would've been better to get a 3820/40QM and overclock to 4.2 and stay in the 60's and 70's.

Gauging from upcoming hardware and history, I'd say the P370EM has about 4 months of in-production time left, maybe 7-8 months shelf time left, and a good 12 months of parts being available in plenty, so you can judge from there. If you were buying now, I'd say by all means, go for it; since you're looking to buy late summer, the outlook is a little blurry. If it turns out there is a replacement model coming out in October/November, I might wait.

That said, the P370EM has already had a longer lifespan than many other Clevo models, and in absolute terms it's a great laptop that should last you a long time. The lifespan of Clevo/Sagers is one of the more ephemeral in the laptop market. I had the P180HM, Clevo's very short-lived attempt to compete with the m18x R1, so understand all too well how quickly models can be killed.
