Any1 knows where I can get the extra cooling heat sinks xotic pc are offering ,
As when I called them they said they dnt support systems which they have not
Sold and my reseller tells me that 103 C is a normal temp for this
Configuration ... I mean seriously :S .....
My CPU and gpu0 are having awesome temps but gpu1 is just
Crazy. If I live in U.S I would have returned since day 1
-
Yeah, I'll just keep the battery. Thanks for the tip. -

What are your specs? -
Well after slinking around the dark recesses of this forum for over a month and reading the comments and advice given here, I've finally placed my order with xotic pc for the 9370. I went with the dual 680m tho I was hoping if I could manage to hold out long enough the 680mx would be available. Oh well. I'm amped about this laptop! It will be my first true gaming machine and I can't wait to see what it can do! Here's more specs for those interested in that sorta thing:

I also decided to let xotic do the overclocking. I just want to get it and be running as soon as possible without having to mess around with it. I was curious tho, are you guys getting your laptops with any software pre installed that lets you watch your blu rays, or are you having to buy it separately? -

With system builders unless specified you will need your own.

Hello, my P370 I have already for a long time (the first in Europe), CrossFire is suffering a little bit of the heat, of course, it is a challenge to the very high level, in the meantime can I share the results of which I got smaller and larger having to submit a modification
and CRYSIS3 Demo Benchmark.................................................. after modifying and being modified
also a few other interesting things that can be done with the notebook,
I will not patronize published description of it may lead to a technical fault
-
Hello,
can anyone recommend a case or sleeve thats perfect for the no9370 ? or even a messenger bag that can fit this laptop and a DSLR camera, I bought an f-stop ando 18 but it turned out that it doesnt fit the np9370 (-_-) -

Congrats on the build. Since you added a blu ray drive Sager does pre install playing software, but not burning software. I use ImgBurn for that which is free and works great. -

So finally I resolved my heating issue in the 7970m xfire . I can say
Am enjoying this system, playing games on max settings is just awesome.
Sleeping dogs and bf3 are running very great on my system I must say ,
The only 2 games that are facing issues with are world of Warcraft And far cry 3
So was wondering if any xfire is facing same issues
- wow runs between 30-80 fps on ultra , Xtreme low GPU usage , although wow is
CPU hungry but still I should be able to achieve better I suppose , it get laggy at time
With single or xfire same results , my 460m sli on My x7200 achieves much more FPS and stability.
- far cry 3 runs with between 65-98 usage on both cards which is okay I believe , I do have
High fps but game feels like am playing at 25fps,at times it ters or feel laggy, its all the same
On low or high settings, high fps but plays like ur having low frames.
-Vsync is off
-GPU max buffered frame set to 0 ( I did try changing the value , no improvement)
-MSAA off ( x2 has no effect on performance )
- alpha to coverage set to standard
-HDAO on
Rest are set on ultra on DX11
Hope I gave enough info,I appreciate any help or tweaks given...am sure there must be something
Am doing wrong btw am still running on the 13.1 drivers.but I dnt thinks it related to drivers.
My system specs :
I7-3740qm
7970m xfire
16gb
512 ssd ( 256gbx2) -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
I would try the beta drivers, I believe they have improvements to both FPS and that laggy feel
-
With the blu-ray player does it play 3d movies? When i put in a 3d movie it said that the player didnt support 3d.
-
Also don't the CAP downloads help optimization for specific games like far cry 3 with xfire? Might want to look into that as well
My laptops should be here tomorrow, I'm excited. -

Hello guys! Howdy?
I have one question for ya, with single 7970m Gpu setups.
Now that enduro is off in p370em barebones what is the power usage/consumption when at idle and if possible when gaming?
Do you suggest to place my order with sli670m due to 7970m problems (I can't afford 680m pricing).
I play mostly fps games such as bf3 cs:go bad company2 etc.
Thank in advance . -
I'd go with 7970m. Personally I don't have any issues with it. It can play any game you want. With recent driver updates performance is the same as 680m. And you will have some room for improvement in future. Temps are low-mid 70's at full load with room temp 22-24C.
-
-
Thanks guys for quick replies.
So 7970m all the way! I used to purchase "green side's" stuff for almost 10 years but not this time.
The pricing is waay to high there are so many other things to spend your money to make your system hot as hell ssd, more ram etc etc etc
Any good backpack that you suggest for this p370em masterpiece?
Do you know if it fits in the swissgear Pegasus cause I like it a lot! Any users out there who have bought Pegasus?
Thanks again, next week I will be a happy owner too! P370em woohoo! Can't wait! -
did you manage to get in contact with mysn.de?
-
Hey MrDj!
Nope, and yes... Found some free time today ( I was kinda busy all week)
I opened a new topic in resellers Sager Clevo section asking for some answers directly from them.Actually I just wait with full patience as I understand /imagine they are kinda busy.
Can't wait though to place my order!
Edit: I read in some of your posts that you prefer matte screen vs the glossy one that you had in another clevo.
In this model p370em what kind of screen should I go for?
My previous clevo was 860cu with glossy and gaming was really nice .i don't care about reflects , but I trully believe that with the glossy screen the colours are kinda more bright and more colorfully from a point of view.
So what do you suggest, as I see a lot of peeps owners of p370em choose matte over glossy. And if this has only to do with reflections of lights then I will go full glossy, but if there exist some technical difference then I go matte as I read a lot of reviews giving good scores on the matte screen.
Thanks once again! -
i have no idea which screens are in this model but if its the same matte as in the P150EM then its ruddy lovely. very bright vibrant colours.
my previous glossy was a m860tu from 5 years ago and this one blows that away. now i look back i have no idea how i used that screen for 5 years.
the only real reason to take glossy is if you do a lot of professional photo editing. the matte is great for gaming unlike older matte screens.
as this forum is only a side line forum mysn may not reply for a while as they have better things to do like build. if you need fast answers it might be worth going on the uk page which has a live chat and they can answer or pass on your questions to germany.

I bought my P370 from HawkForce, the transaction proceeded very smoothly, the problem is actually with CrossFire graphics for these problems with very high temperatures is not responsible Hawkforce, the problem is made cooling quality, with improved cooling for CrossFire is a very nice set, the present day HawkForce gave the order to produce larger quantities of the improved cooling for systems CrossFire, I think this is very good news for users CrossFire
emergency assistance
how to SLAVE GPU cooler:
isolate the radiators and fan connection via copper or aluminum tape, lift the rear part of the notebook for 2-4cm Done still recommend changing the thermal paste (if it does not interfere with the warranty and did not lose)
I greet
VSS.
Games playing BF3 temperature, the cooling system for a new slave GPU Heatsinks modernized.

To Moudine..I am sorry to bother but i just ordered a similar setup. I was wondering what you did to fix the heating issues, in case i have the same problem once mine arrives. thank you much for your time..jonny

To everyone I am sorry about my first post being addressed to an individual, I thought I was replying directly to him. I just ordered a 9370 from xotic. I will paste my specs. It has the dual 7970's, and i will post some benchmarks as time allows. I am currently being deployed, so if people are interested I will re-run benches once im in theatre so others can see performance/heat isuesdue to extreme temps. Thank you to everyone for the wealth of knoweledge on here.

hey jonnybmf and congratz on ur build ... a very nice machine and ull enjoy it a lot.
its very unlikely that ull get heat issues with the 7970m as it happens to very few costumers and its caused
by poor or bad thermal paste job done by tech.
anyways in case any1 having overheating of his GPU he can use these simple steps:
1- open the back cover of the laptop and start a game or bench , wait few min till heat build up and then add pressure on the HT around the center
and hold on pressure for like a min . turn off pc for 10-15 min and then monitor ur temp again.this actually reduced my temp from 103C to 78-85C.
i also did apply pressure around screw 4 n bent it a bit as i saw a small gap in my HS( try at ur own risk).
advanced method requires a new thermal paste job and then making sure the HT is very flat around the center of the die a 1mm gap can cause heat build ups. -
Has any one installed a 2cd. Gtx680m kit in their clevo /sager p370em? If so where did you buy the kit and how much was it? Was they any problems with the install? Thank for any advice.
-
Just got mine and my wifes p370's today.
3630QM with single 7970M setups. Couldn't afford 680's for both of our computers. So far its awesome! 100fps on "auto" bf3 settings. Getting 65ish on farcry3 high.
The only "concern" i have is that gpu temps hit ~90C after about an hour of play time. The fan kicks on and takes it down to ~80C. That's pretty warm IMO. I'll have to repase with some nicer stuff.
Aren't you guys normally averaging mid 70's for gpu temp? -
You can try lift back of your laptop a bit, as it was shown at page before. That will increase airflow and should help with cooling your GPU. -
I keep my house around 74 in winter so that's about ~23C and i have it sitting on a cooling pad. It's not the best one but it does move some air and also sets the laptop at an angle so i know it's not an issue with ambient conditions. I'll pretty much have to repaste it. I didn't look at the temps my wife's laptop was hitting but i doubt it's all that different.
-
. You can make paper mod here (just close that gap with paper. It will help to force all hot air to go through the radiator.) That can help you reduce to temperatures. And, of course, repasting will give you major impact, in case you have some crappy paste job there.
-
I completely forgot about the foil mod, I will definitely look into that. Looks simple enough. Thanks!
The touch pad is almost impossible to use, sweet jesus its so bad... -
-
Can also other owners confirm that? Or it is just the 7970m that cause big heat issue? -
-
Guyz,
Thinking of making a move back to Sager/Clevo with dual 7970ms and was hoping those of you who've had experience could answer a couple broadbased questions:
Compared to an m18x with dual 680ms...
- Is the P370EM noisier? If so, is it really noticable? Do the fans spool inexplicably when the laptop is idle (I've had this prob on a couple Clevos/Sagers)?
- How's the build quality?
- Is tripping the 300W PSU a problem with OC-ing? (this was an issue on my x7200 and I had to daisy-chain two PSUs)
- For those of you who've had experience with both 680m SLI and 7970m xfire, have newer AMD drivers leveled the playing field and is Crossfire compatibility good? (I had a pair of 7970ms in my m18x about 6 months ago and drivers were a mess at the time; also run in single mode the card was great)
- Will a 3630qm bottleneck the 7970ms
- Can the CPU be OC'ed in bios or otherwise e.g. SetFSB?
I've had a bunch Sagers (and AWs) before so am familiar with broad differences in design, but haven't been able to check out this model in person. I've skimmed through this thread over the past week, but haven't seen recent answers to some of the questions above. Was hoping for some honest, objective feedback from real users.
Thanks in advance -
I've heard about this but didn't know exactly what was being described.. I found the post and the more I look and the very slight foil-tape job the more I'm convinced that will make a difference in airflow on the radiator. I just may try this to squeeze out some more temperature drops.
.
My temps are great these days but if I can lower some more than why not?? Plus my XM CPU is pretty warm under load and this is a simple fix and a little bit ingenious. -

Foil-tape mod pictures in the 1st post. -
- The fans on this system are really okay , I mean if u have had an x7200 before then I can
Assure u this system is much more quit
- the sager np9370 has a mobile CPU so u save 100w(bit more or less) compared to desktop
CPU in x7200 system so no worries about ur PSU
- 7970m are gr8 cards , they are much better now and nvidia cards are not worth the upgrade
For the huge money difference
- x7200 and 9370 have same charger
- 3630qm wont bottleneck ur cards for gaming but I'd recommend the 3740qm
For the extra 400mhz+ the ability to OC
-3630qm cannot overlock
Build quality is gr8 but not as good as the x7200 , touchpad sucks big time it's pretty useless,
I mean I use my razer naga most of the time but at times u just wana sit n use ur pc for few min
Without a mouse and I can tell u its like some1 punishing me lol .. Yea that bad !!
Laptop looks good and is very simple design , more like a business type laptop
Which I prefer , I can't imagine myself with an AW , look childish toy for me. -
Thanks much for the guidance.
-Good to know it's quieter than the x7200 -- that thing could wake up the neighbors and would spool up at the drop of a hat
-Didn't know that about not being able to OC the 3630qm. I'll likely go for a 3740qm.
-I'm not planning on using the touchpad (it could come without one for all I care): I'll be using an external mouse. I had the short-lived P180HM which also had a god awful touchpad and didn't ever use it.
-I can't believe Clevo hasn't come out with a smaller, high-end PSU, but oh well.
Question: can the 3720qm be OC'ed like the 3740qm on this?
Agreed on AW designs being too dorm-room plastic-y. They also look pretty dated at this point. Where Clevo's designs haven't changed much over the years, at least they're simple enough to remain classy-looking. -
3720qm can be Overlocked.
Glad I helped. -
Ok guys, so i finaly made my pre build setup and i will place my order tommorow.
Feel free to change my mind if you dont like something in the setup !!!

Well Gents my order was processed Monday, and my rig shipped today. Delivery is scheduled for Tuesday. It looks like ill have a good amount of time with it before deployment so if anyone needs any particular benches or anything please don't hesitate to ask.I ordered some IC Tim so time allowing ill do before and after numbers.

Thank you much Derek. I really appreciate all the help. Im going to try and get all the new benches as well. The TIM I oredered wont be in until the 20th but that should give me some time to run some without the IC. If the numbers(temps) are good I may not repaste right away guys, not from laziness, its just that my free time is somewhat limited right now.

Congrats mate! Nice setup though! Enjoy your config!
So how you find that msata as your primary drive?
How is your temps running those two red queens?
Edit, how you find p370em overall?
