I have been receiving this error on my new P150em from Mythlogic.
Got it without HDD as I'm installing my own SSD in it.

I keep getting a BSOD with nvlddmkm.sys. It happens whenever I do a windows experience test, or anything that will possibly use the gfx.
Also, in my bios, it states "VGA Card: Empty"

I have tried several solutions on the net but none worked. :(

Yeah it didn't show up today or tonight. Guess I'm waiting until Monday. -_-.

Very sad day; I've been up since 6 and waiting since 8am - 10 pm for them to show up with it as it said "Out for delivery on Fedex Vehicle" Which I thought meant it would come to my house today. But I guess not -_-.

Lame! This wait is hell considering I ordered 5/1 and have been weaiting since April for the new hardware [7970m and 3610] then pre orderd early May.

Definitely not the most fun experience. Lol. -_-

Already have a new mouse and new 7.1 surround sound gamecom 780 heaphones and my windows 7 ultimate 64 bit disk and photoshop copies ready to go, just need the laptop so I can DL D3 and BF3 and my Skyrim copy off my external. Grrr -_-

Whew I'm glad my display is the 95% matte, maybe its a problem with the glossy 95%?

Idk but that is bad you should send it in on warranty.

I hope mine comes in perfect considering I've waited forever hah.

Sorry bro, looks like part of the lighting failed on the monitor :( I wouldn't even try to fix it, as it might void your warranty. I hope your service is speedy!

Edit: And at that penguin from earlier, I wasn't saying you couldn't be mad for it taking so long, but there's very few things Xotic can do about it besides beg Sager to move faster lol.

There's a cd that comes with the computer that has everything you need, including the custom software for the keyboard lighting, etc. It has its own installer and you can select which things to install. Very easy.

The battery came charged for me and I was able to get started right away. I plugged it in, booted to install the OS, then installed the drivers and custom software. Simple!

Does the stock wireless card comes with Bluetooth right?
A little off topic, but am I able to simultaneously connect one Bluetooth device to two difference devices?
EG: My Bluetooth keyboard paired with my PC and my PS3 at the same time.
Also, does anyone know if Bluetooth pairing takes a long time?

Yes the stock wireless card does include bluetooth. You can connect all your devices at once via bluetooth, its not limited. Bluetooth pairing is very quick, typically under 5 seconds.

I'm planning to wait a while until I invest in an SSD, simply to let the $/GB drop that much more. I wonder how much they'll drop by the time it's time to install Win8...

Originally I was going to go with the 7970m for 3D but switched over to 680m but what I did find out when I was originally going for 7970m was that its indeed possible you simply need a screen that has 3D capabilities such as Samsungs 2D to 3D conversion (not sure about Sony 3D, should work though don't quote me on it).

Along with a monitor that has 3D features and clearly not nVidia 3D, you need an external 3rd party software that enables 3D gaming, so pretty much unlike nvidia's set hardware, GPU and software your getting everything from a 3rd party source. Due to this reason the 3D for AMD lacks compared to nvidia unless games have a really well built 3D compatibility like Metro 2033.

Meh 3d gaming isn't ready for primtetime in my opinion anyways, even with nVidia. It will just give me a huge headache having to wear those janky glasses while I game. I think within the next few years we will have much improved 3d that won't take glasses [i hope]. I'll upgrade next year to nVidia if I must so that I can do 3d gaming :p ha.

My laptop is coming tomorrow; I hoped for saturday but that didn't happen but it's already out for delivery so it should be here tmmrw morning/afternoon I hope! I am way too excited my gf hates me right now because she knows ill be afk IRL for the next week. Hahahah.

Wow! I've read this thread for a few days now and you guys are too helpful! I had to create an account to ask one question I had in mind. If I decide to downgrade to the 8gb RAM @ 1333mhz, if I wanted to upgrade later on, could I just add two additional sticks of RAM along with the 8gb RAM @ 1333mhz, even if the new RAM was 1600mhz or more. Or would I completely replace the two sticks of RAM. Which is a more viable option. And how difficult would it be to replace this RAM for someone not very experience with computers as I am.

Sorry for the onslaught of questions! I just need help!

Yes you can install 2 further sticks of memory later and it's really not difficult. Normally the first 2 sticks come installed under the keyboard so all you have to do to add a further 2 is remove the screws from the underside of the laptop and you'll find another 2 memory slots there. The memory just clicks gentally in place.

If you install 2x4GB @ 1333MHz and 2x4GB at 1600MHz they will all run at 1333MHz as that is the max speed of the slowest memory.

Awesome, what if I wanted to replace the RAM running at 1333mhz for faster RAM? Is it just as simple as snapping it out of place and snapping faster RAM in place of it? Or would replacing the RAM the original laptop came with do some harm? (Like is there anything stored on this RAM? Or something along those lines?)

The RAM only stores information while the machine is switched on. Once turned off it becomes blank. If you want to get the speed of 1600MHz then all your RAM needs to be at that speed. This means that if purchasing with 1333MHz RAM then you will need to replace it later. The pre-installed RAM is usually located just under the keyboard. I've never had the keyboard off but have heard it takes a bit of time to get to but is not difficult if you are patient.

Oh hey, I forgot to mention but I should note I remember you mentioning something about hdmi and I should note only certain monitors albeit very little allow 1080p @ 120Hz in HDMI, your Sony should be fine but just in case if it doesn't work you should look into getting a Dual Dvi to Hdmi.

I have a question; could the 7970m/P150EM run a 1440p or 1600p monitor? I'm guessing over a dual vdi to HDMI adapter it could? Because next year I plan on getting a 1440p 1600p or 1880p if thats out by then, a 24" or 27" at these res for gaming and photoshop would be awesome; no need for dual monitors :p haha.

and i looked up benches for the 7850/7870 desktop GPU which ours is on par with [even 5-10% better with an OC] and it can run many games at 1440p, for BF3/Crysis 2 and games that are very demanding at ultra we'd have to play with no AA to get 40fps + average but at 1440p you probably won't need AA Lol. Or just drop to high settings, having 1440p or 1600p at high with no AA is fine w/ me :p haha, or just use an AA injector to save performance, and bam 40-50 avg FPS in BF3/Crysis 2, and Skyrim will run at 50fps easy at 1440p even with AA, so I'm getting one of those monitors next year haha.

You would need to use the DisplayPort port, and if the monitor only has dual link DVI then you will need an active Dual Link converter (~$100!). I'd see if you could get a DP native monitor so the adapter isnt needed :)

My laptop has arrived and I installed the 256GB Crucial M4 and Windows and all the drivers, I am downloading Battlefield 3 and Diablo 3 as I type :p

What else should I get right away? Already got HWmon and Hwinfo.

    I guess I need FRAPS, 3dmark11? Ha.

And one bad thing that happened was that when I opened up the laptop the back part had a small chip where the screw was inserted, I'm going to email eurocom and have them send me a replacement backplate as this is ridiculous; apparently they screwed the screws in much too hard.

For those with a NP9150 and GTX675m what graphic drivers are you using? I tried using the 304 Verde drivers, but they made every game unstable. I'm currently using the 295.62 which are the standard.

Gratz! I'm getting my NP9130 today... but my 256GB 830 will get here Friday the earliest... I might just install Windows on the HDD first, then reinstall when i get the SSD :p.

You need Heaven, 3DMark11 but not FRAPS. Just get any OCing software and that should have built in FPS monitor (they're all just Rivatuner derivatives). Not sure if MSI Afterburner works with the 7970, but on the desktop it's the best because they have the creator of Rivatuner working on Afterburner and pretty much the only one with voltage unlock for desktop cards.

(removed alot of standard stuff to make this post shorter)

Acutally called in to change the network card to Bigfoot Killer hopefully that was a good choice to do even though I probably won't be able to tell the difference.

I already ordered aftermarket parts and received them today which included the kingston 1866 8 gigs(Maybe I'll get another set and make it 16 gigs but probably won't need it). Also purchased a mushkin atlas msata 240gb as my main drive so the 750gb will be secondary drive. I will also be purchasing IC diamond thermal paste and repasting myself since I've always built my own PC's and this is the first custom laptop I'm getting, I want it to be there in expectations in terms of performance. I always feel better when I know I do it myself and plus it saves me 20 bucks or so to do it myself. Let me know what you guys think about this build and when I receive it and put everything together I'll start posting vids/benchmarks.

    THE WAIT IS KILLING ME!!!! hehe :p :p :p :p :p

Nice build, but you should get the 7970m instead of the 680m :)
