Some people...
2) Easy? Depends how good you are with tech. If you build your own desktops, you should be able to do it just fine with some instructions. Cheap? Now that's a different story...
3) PM the resellers for deals, but the best ones are usually around black Friday. -

Another issue that I have right now is when I change my resolution to 1980 X 1080, it seems the texts are small everywhere. Anyone know how to balance it?
-
-
I can't install intel rapid start technology driver 0-0
-
Anyone know how to activate enduro in radeon 7970m because my laptop battery life is only around 2:49 = =. Isn't it should be around 4-5 hr???
-
Wait, isnt there like an interface for you to turn enduro on and off? I wouldnt know, i currently use an express family chipset from intel lol.
-
-
-
what's the model of the screen on the stock NP9150? i can't find any details on it other than the SKU.
-
great pictures man
-
I just ordered my Sager Yesterday, im pretty excited even though it may be awhile before it shows it.
-
Tomorrow i will get mine eheheh
-
I don't get mine for like 3 more weeks most likely -_-. And I ordered May 1st...

In other news... My P150EM is ready to ship!!! I wonder if it can make it to me before the weekend... Also, I got some good news from my school: there are going to be all-day study sessions (my school's definition of study session is sort of loose) on June 4-6 and 11-13, so I will have a chance to show off my laptop before the year ends! -
Darn,
Just got an email from Xotic, apparently the order I placed was with the second batch of AMD 7970m cards. As we all know, they had problems. They also informed me that the would not get the third batch of cards until 6/11/2012! That means i may not even see my NP9150 until mid July
Couldn't Xotic begin manufacturing and leave the graphic card untill last?
Anyway, does anyone know the brokerage fees from U.S to Canada, if it's of any help, my order comes to a grand total of $1604, including the basic shipping option. -
Xotic doesn't manufacture the laptops; Sager does. It's a good idea though, to build all the orders and have the box and everything ready for the second batch of 7970M's.
-
wait so is the third batch going to be for people who are on the second batch list??? or 2nd batch people have to wait until sager releases the 80% working cards????
-
Scheduled Delivery:
Friday, 06/01/2012, By End of Day
Going to be a long day in the office on Friday! -
What you're suggesting is Sager waists a lot of time and space to accommodate less than 1/4 of their sales.
-
UPS man finally came

Lines and going in order are very important in business; as is respecting the fact that people like me have been waiting a month for a laptop they paid $1600+ for. And I will still have to wait 3 more weeks... -
Please post up some pics; and let us know how smooth games runI know we've all seen some reviews and what not but I want some better pictures and to see how well you can run BF3 Ultra Settings 1080p. AA or not; I'd like to know both FPS average. If it stays above 35 its good for me ha.
-
I just run battlefield field 3. Seems smooth with everything ultra so far
-
I know that's not what you want, but imagine if you were running a restaurant that was fresh out of cheese. Would you rather tell the customers that want a cheeseburger to hit the back of the line or tell everyone that just wants a burger to wait?
Now all your customers are angry, and you had to send your employees home.
Bad analogy, I know -
Ugh - you guys ordering the AMD cards are heartier than me.
The last two ATi/AMD cards I had were the G73's utter f***ing FAILURE of a GPU, and the HD2900, which was extremely slow for its price range compared to nVidia cards.
I've never had catastrophic slowness or failure from 10+ nVidia cards I've owned. Im just not willing to take another big risk and get boned by AMD again...
As for people talking about the keyboard ghosting issue - the keyboard I'm typing this from is an external keyboard, and it has TERRIBLE ghosting problems according to the Microsoft tester webapp. I don't think the keyboard ghosting issue is as big a deal as people are making it out to be at all. -
Exactly,
Oh well, better just hunker down for the wait. -
FUUUUUUU windows installation error >.>
-
-
my tracking number came!
What's this? 4 business days remaining, not counting the weekend? Lame. I payed for 3-day shipping, not 4-day. Oh well, it will still get here before the 6th. -
enduro sucks
it doesn't detect any games and skyrim only detects HD 4000. Still able to run it on ultra, though. -
-
Enduro doesn't suck; the driver support for it sucks. And it is definitely using the 7970m not the HD4000 if you are running on ultra.
-
-
-
man that would be something though really... get like 6+ hours battery and run games on max settings? That's our future though if AMD or intel pulls off these processors right, that or if optimus/enduro get really really good at working.
-
Hahaha, but by then there'll be even more graphics intensive games...
Either way, I'll have a first-impressions review up maybe by tomorrow. Gotta take those pics, man. -
Whoa, wait a minute. I ordered a 750GB HDD and it says I only have 200 GB tota space?
-
Donald@Paladin44 Retired
A 750GB 7,200RPM drive should give you a total of about 698GB usable storage.
Your OS and utilities will take about 30GB +\-, so it sounds like your drive has been partitioned.
How many drive letters do you have in Windows Explorer, and what are they? -
I only have 2, C and D, but D is a CD Drive...
and somehow, my 7970M only scores P5066... which is pretty bad. -
Donald@Paladin44 Retired
Go to Start and in the search box type Disk Management. When that opens look at your drives and see if a large portion of your 750GB 7,200RPM shows as unallocated.
-
Just an off topic question; do NP9150 support flex memory?
Edit: If not, is there a way to get it? -
Dang Guys, stuck with a dilemma.
So, of course, Xotic emailed me with the whole 'blah blah 7970m no work, you must wait longer llololololol' < or something like that.
Any-who, they said their order of the new batch of 7970m chips wont arrive till the 11 of June. Which (for me) is a loooong time from now.
So would anyone recommend the GTX 675m? I need this laptop for around all of university, 5 years maybe more. So of course the 7970m seems like the ideal choice.
But start of August i have to begin my premed studies, because my parents want to waste half my summer vacation because they think i'm stupid (70% in god dang chem is not stupid, ok?) So i want to be able to make the most of my laptop before i hit the books.
Would you recommend the 7970m, or the 675m?
Also, if manufacturing begins on the 11th, then how long would it take my laptop to be finished? (Ive opted for the express UPS shipping because brokerage is included)
Time is of the essence, or the fact that a teen just can't wait for his birthday present
Thanks all!
EDIT: I also live in Canada by the way. -

While theres no doubt the 7970M is the best video card for gaming the 675M is also very good. It was the top dog up until a month ago. Depending on what else you do like Video editing, CAD or other 3D model rendering the CUDA cores in the Nvidia cards will be much better then the ATI card. It really does come down to what you do on the computer. If you do change the computer will get to you sooner as it can go into production right away.
