in low quality, you have less FPS becouse 88FPS or 95 FPS, you will see the same. your eyes can not see more than 60FPS. but in ultra quality, the HD7970 get near the more FPS with enduro ON.

you save batery and the computer will work fine to play.

not to make unnecessary FPS for a showman talk about for your friends.

Yeah you will not see a difference unless you have a 120 hz screen. Please do not state human eyes can not see over 60 fps. Human eyes do not even see in frames anyway.

Individuals may not be able to perceive 60 vs 120, but it is possible to tell the difference for some people, such as myself.

 

As you cannot see it, you do notice if a games runs 60 FPS or 500 FPS.. is it just me?

 

I didn't put a harddrive caddy in mine and kept it with the dvd drive. Can I later still install a ssd or hdd

 

Just switch the optical drive out for a hard disk caddy then install a 2.5" drive in there. Its pretty easy and can be found on page 6-14+ of the latest destruction manual off Clevo's web site.

This is correct. In any case, motion looks fluid at 30+ FPS, and with 60+ fps you should never dip below 30 so it will always appear fluid. With a 60Hz screen you will not be able to display more than 60fps, however human eyes can catch something blinked on a screen as quickly a 1/300th of a second or less, if the conditions are right. Comparing human eyes to frames per second just is a bad analogy.

 

120hz monitors are even catching on for spreadsheet use because they give the brain a more smooth experience

Does anyone know if a faster processor or ssd would make significant difference? Like would an i7-3820qm and msata maybe bring me upto 4500ish or a little more?

This is extremely saddening. I was told by Eurocom I would get my laptop with 3610 and 7970m by the end of this week. Freaking heck!!! -_-

Apparently with Eurocom it is the 1st shipment for my order not second so i'll still get it this week

 

I feel you pain dude. I also wait for my laptop. It is in production phase right now. At first I thought that it will arrive by this week or next week. After this news, I think it will arrive more than 2 weeks. Moreover, I also pre-order beginning of this month and almost a month of waiting....

 

So does anyone have the 7970m yet and is it worth the wait (I'm sure it is)!

 

Some people have already received their laptop with the 7970M and have already announced as much in these forums.

Those individuals are likely busy getting everything installed and configured their way before they get their reviews and posts up.

 

Hopefully I get moved to phase 4 tonight... absolutely need this laptop by the end of this week...

 

Apparently, UPS should have already picked up my laptop a couple hours ago (according to XoticPC). If so, I'll have my laptop tomorrow!! And a 7-day weekend too!!

Yeah I heard from Eurocom; mine is going to be the first batch of 7970m, so I should still get it by this friday, next wednesday at the latest, super freaking hyped Really can't wait.

 

I actually ordered on May 1st and change to phase two on May 16.

 

In this case, to me it seems like if you ever get a lag problem, it would be due to the CPU and not the RAM. But hopefully 3610 can handle it.

Or am I wrong?

Wow, I ordered on April 29th and got moved to Phase 2 on May 18th. I really hope my laptop will ship out today >< god I HAVE to HAVE this laptop for memorial weekend. Otherwise I'll be sitting on memorial day with nothing to do on my retarded dell laptop.

It should only apply to people ordering the 7970M. However, the NP9150 itself is in high demand already, but you shouldn't experience the same delays.

 

Has anyone tracked the best price and discounts for a P150 yet in the UK/UK Delivery with the 7970m?

Mine is from eurocom . May 1 order so they said its first batch . My estimated finish is this week so hopefully I get it by this Saturday. If not Monday o r Tuesday would be great. I should get another update tmmrw. If it comes early next week its not too bad I'll be busy partying this weekend ha.

 

Can anyone comment on this laptop noise level? I plan to take this laptop to work and I wouldn't want to disturb my colleagues when I play some Diablo 3 .

the size of these laptops would lead me to believe that the cooling is much better than your standard lenovo/dell/hp/apple laptops. is this true? are the heatsink+fans more heavy duty?

 

Just as I am thinking how great this laptop is, i fire up SWTOR and realize that i can't strafe forward-right and jump at the same time... Keyboard ghosting. This really sucks. Think this is a deal-breaker.

 

We don't have those other brands in front of us so it is difficult to make a side by side comparison, however the cooling system on the Sager NP9150 is quite robust and you should not expect any overheating issues.
