Yep, it does get better, those 2 screws give access to a lot more than just the fans :)

They are one and the same, called muxless video switching, and they are just named differently by the different companies. Nvidia doesn't power sip, that's a separate AMD technology that doesn't have anything to do with Enduro.

 Why would anyone buy a 2720QM, 2760QM and 3720QM are both faster and the same price.

If you planned on doing this, why not buy from someone who doesn't need to build you a whole new computer? *coughmythlogiccough*

Just buy some yourself to do the upgrade, it's really cheap. When I have more money I'll get 2x8GB to add to my default 2x4GB for a total of 24GB.

Same here, but I'm not getting a 7970m.

ETA for arrival of the 7970M is still end of May, factor 6-10 business days for the build time and shipping time on top of that and you're looking mid June until its at your door.

Hey Hutsady, how long, in general, does a purchase via wire transfer (domestic online transfer) take to complete -shipped- @ XoticPc?

Domestic bank wires usually clear in 24-48hrs, once it has then the computer goes to production which is currently 6-10 business days the will ship out. Shipping time depends on your location, Sager computers ship from California so consider that when factoring shipping time.

I had no intentions on going this. Just thought it would be convenient. Oh well, I sold the gateway for $350. Overall I made a profit of $250. I will just wait for 7990m, and save that cash for the upgrade.

    Ordered yesterday!

Just an off topic question, but I am trying to get a sig picture on my file here and it doesn't seem to work, even tho it meets all size requirements. Anyone know the reason for this? Do I have to have a certain amount of posts?

    Hi Greezy,
Have you found out anything more about this as you have peeked my curiosity... is this actually possible as I've not seen it before?

If so does anyone know what is required to make this work as I use mobile broadband so this would be really useful?

    Thanks.

    Hey all,

I just purchased a clevo P150em so main specs are IB i7-3610, 16gb 1600Mhz ram, Intel 520SSD and the GTX 675m card but my fps is horrible in D3. It is rapidly shifting around the 30 mark and has dropped as low as under 10 in a few sections with a lot of mobs on the screen.

I cant figure out why it would be so low. I did turn the settings all to high but even dropping the shadows to low, it had no impact on the fps.

I am still bit of a noob in terms of PC gaming so I wasnt sure how to even check the game is being run by the 675m and not the Intel 4000 card or whatever the other integrated card is.

any one got any ideas for solving this problem? or how to check if its running on the intergrated card?

Cheers in advance for any help or advice

I have noticed that Clevo do not spec the P150em with a Matt 95% Gamut screen and my supplier did not have this as an option when I ordered it. Can anyone help with the following...

Is the Matt screen a standard Clevo part or a 3rd party upgrade?
If not a standard Clevo part, does changing it effect the Clevo warrantee?
Who in the UK or US supplies the 1080p Matt 95% Gamut LED backlit LCD replacement panel?

    Thanks

    PWNPC's supply 95% Gamut screens.

Also It's not standard, they never were, it's a classified 3rd party upgrade, but it doesn't harm your warranty as far as I know :)

Also who did you order from?

Two of my ivy bridge mini itx motherboards allow for changing the port between msata and pci in the bios. I'm hoping this is the case here.

Do you think it's worth it to get the 9150 over the 9130 unless you plan on upgrading the graphics? I plan to just keep the 670M as-is with the first-level i7 processor. Equally configured they're $180 difference. What does the 9150 have over the 9130 aside from the backlight keyboard?

Alternatively, if you are on a tight budget and could sacrifice a little GPU performance (assuming you go nVidia, since you seem like you need Optimus.. I'm not too sure about 7970m's enduro and how it works though, some folks say they work well too) and the backlit keyboard, you could consider the 9130, which saves you approximately $300 off the bat.

Don't post hardly but this forum has always been a big help. FYI, I was given a call from XoticPC. They have received the HD 7970M cards and my order has now moved to the building/testing phase.

I ordered it on May 5th and was told that it will take ~5-12 business days to receive the machine due to the crazy demand.

    FYI: I purchased the IB 3610QM, 7970m, 120SSD/750HDD w/ 16gb 1333Mhz

I can verify that XoticPC also called me today to let me know that a batch of 7970m cards are in. I placed my order on May 7th so the representative was not able to verify that I would necessarily be in the first batch of cards, but that they are building.

I should be buying one of these next week. I wanted to go through Xotic, but so far my dealings with their sales guy have been pretty disappointing. I sent an email regarding a price match for a specific configuration, he ignored it and did a price match on the base config. Then I sent another email explaining (again) that I wanted to price match a specific config, and listed the parts. He is now telling me that they don't carry the thermal paste I wanted to use, "INNOVATION COOLING Diamond Thermal Paste," which is clearly available in the product configurator! This guy seems like he just doesn't even want to sell me the machine. Very disappointing.

I know, Im trying to decide which size I want and if one keyboard is better than the other then that would help me decide. I have a 17" Asus laptop now, but I wouldn't mind something a little lighter. I don't travel at all, just use it on the couch for games. Im also wondering how much smaller the 15" will feel.

They're using the same Keyboard. You'll have more room on the sides of the keyboard with the 17".

ASUS are heavier than the Sagers for example:

    NP9150: 6.83 lbs with battery
ASUS G55: 8.3 lbs with battery

It's a really sweet keyboard actually, the keys are spaced out a little bit more so its awesome for people with bigger hands; the smaller ones are just fine as well haha. It also has a full digit pad on the right, like a desktop.

Here's a review from Xotic pc, its when they first came out, but basically the same stuff. He also shows all of the keyboard essentials and stuff:

The 15" is IMO is perfect for gaming, the 17" is of course slightly more appealing but the 15" has the optimal size :) it's great, especially if you get the Gamut screen option onto the 15" screen

Yup for sure, I've always used a 15" and I find it to be just right, not to mention the weight increase with the 17" going up from 6.83 lbs (lower than Asus and Msi 15"ers) to 8.6 lbs.

That's a bit surprising. I guess the extra 1.43 pounds compared to my current laptop is liveable. Now if only I could find a bag or pouch to hold it...
