Ah great thank you! And I do see there are 2 new versions. How should I flash? Should I just flash the latest BIOS version or do I have to flash them both from older to newer version?

Usually you can jump but your reseller should normally be providing you with the files on request.

The internal display is certainly hard wired into the igp. Don't run an F.

So today I tried updating my BIOSby following the youtube video from XMG/Schenker. But on the step where I have to run meset, the shell said: "Bad command" or something in those lines. After a check seems there is no such file in the folder. Did anyone updated BIOS recently to be able to tell me what to do now?

So I just wanted to make an update on the situation. We change some emails and they explained everything perfectly. I just finished the flash and everything went smooth.
About the files, it was my fault, not their. I was just following the wrong video guide and not the PDF manual they provide on their website.

That's very strange. I installed PopOS (it is just better looking ubuntu) on external ssd and I do not have any problems. Runs perfect, sometimes lags a bit more but I think its normal since it runs via USB 3.0. But I have no major problems like you. Can you give some more info did you install it on separate drive from Windows?

Did you changed anything on distro to work? I have installed it on usb 8gb stick drive.I will soon upload a video that shows error.

No I did not do anything special. Just clicked on clean install, so the distro made the partition on the SSD.
I did tried before that on USB stick, but from the experience I had, would not recommend it. It's slow, stuttered too often from very basic stuff like opening file explorer, browser etc. So try using HDD or even better SSD for that matter (even if it's external).
I am not that experienced with Linux, but:
    1. was not that great as I expected
    2. did not manage to set up my fan curve
    3. failed to undervolt my CPU and GPU and some more problems that I am forgetting now.

The things that might have gone wrong (that I can think of right now):
Did you chose the right download file?
Did you burn it correctly on the USB stick?
Were there any errors popping up while installing?
Giving errors that it showed would be helpful for further troubleshoot.

    heres video link ;
I have tried same stick with another laptop and it just worked perfect.
Used rufus to burn iso file to usb. Theres a option to TRY OS, which im using before i install and mess everything up. As in the video UEFI BOOT was on, i have also tried with OFF but same problem. Also can you use gtx 1060 and play games? Thanks for interest

I have managed to install PopOS on mine and it works flawless. But here are my problems:
Steam wont recognize gtx 1060 even if i open it via right click and run with dedicated gpu. So that because cs:go for example runs on intel gpu. How did you managed it ?

Hmm, this is very strange. I used Etcher instead of rufus for burning the USB, because system 76 (creators of popOS) recommends it.
I am able to switch between: Hybrid Mode - OS determines when to use dedicated GPU, Power saving (with Intel GPU) and Performance mode (Nvidia GPU). I have not really had the time to test with playing games, since linux needs a bit more time to setup than windows and my Linux knowledge is rather limited which means I need more time to troubleshoot things.
Strange that it runs on different PC but not on this laptop. Are both laptops basically the same? (Intel CPU & NVidia GPU?)
What comes to mind to ask right now is:
Are there different download files?(for example Pop had one for intel/amd and one for nvidia.)
What type of file system did you make the USB?

Edit: Later today I will try CS:GO aswell in PopOS and I will right back here to tell you if I had problems with it running off of my 1060

The laptop that i've tried has i5 480m and nvidia 420m. Since that PopOs (nvidia version) worked fine on mine thanks to you, so i dont want to bother with elementary anymore. So basically my only problem is switchable gpu thing. I have set on Hybrid Mode just like you at first, but it sees only intel gpu by steam. After i switched to Nvidia gpu only mode cs:go and steam start to run normally again. But i dont want to change that setting and reboot everytime i want to play game.

I was wondering what are your idle temps guys? I am running i5 8500 and while in chrome (with at least 10-15 tabs) it sits around 40-50C (very rarely goes to 60). Are these normal temps?
While playing Rainbow Six Siege CPU does not go over 65-70C and after lower the maximum CPU speed to 85%, lowered gaming temps to 60-65C, but the near idle are still the same.
I am asking this just out of curiosity and since I have ton of free time I am doing some small experiments with my laptop CPU :)

There is no passive cooling inability notebook really so that's normal low load levels.

I am not looking for low temp passive cooling, but for low fan active. I do not mind the low humming sound of the fan, I like more the low temps. Currently I am running the (i5) 8500 @ 2.7-3GhZ, with -120mV (might try to undervolt even more with that speed) and I was wondering if anyone tried or had lower temps. I did do a clean/re-paste 6-10 months ago, around the 1 year mark. Just asking in interest, because in the current situation (quarantine) I have a bit more time to tinker and experiment with the laptop :)

Hey all! I just noticed some keyboard problems. From time to time some of the keys don't respond and I have to click them extra hard. I found it is always the same set of keys. Backspace, Enter(the big one), U and X are the keys I found for now. Have anyone had the same issue and anyway to fix it?

I did search online for a keyboard, but they are extremely expensive, ranging from 60-100 Euros from what I have found online. Also keyboard language was not English, the ones in English were the most expensive from what i have found online.

Yeah right now I prefer to get a mech keyboard and use it via USB instead of changing this one. I can find mechanical keyboards that are on discount that are cheaper... It is kinda rediculous IMO but seems what it is. Risks with Clevo laptops :/

Owner of N95TP6 for about 2 years, recently observed that the GPU and CPU temperature is quite high while gaming.

Here is the temperature when rig is idle or not gaming:
    https://ibb.co/R45T5dM

Temperature about 5min after any game:
    https://ibb.co/s5LNjc5

Anyone can share their CPU and GPU temperature too? Or this is normal?

If you never cleaned the heatsink fins and fan or did a repaste thats expected after 2 years.
Its in need of a clean up.

The GPU requires dissembling the bottom of the unit basically, the CPU is just under the bottom panel.

Have dissemble it. There are 3 screws underneath keyboard to remove the bottom cover.
Feeling maybe the humidity of my environment is too moist as those fans and panels are a bit rush.

Cause I applied Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut about 2 years ago and wonder if it dry so fast, though it famous for it longevity.

***Not so sensitive about temperature before this until recently quite frustrated with the fan noise and monitor....then noticed surprise hot temperature!!!***

I would say use a can of compressed air every 6 months while using something to stop the fan from spinning (like a small stick) then that buildup should not happen.

Probably it was because of dust. No thermal paste with some known name/brand will dry that fast. I am with Noctua paste, repasted 6+ months ago, prob year already, I don't remember. Temps are fine, around 45-50C on the CPU in idle, and 65(rarely 70C+) and GPU goes around 75C, ambient temp varies between 23 and 26C. Can you do another picture where we can see voltages? Undervolting the CPU (in my case) lowered the temps by 15-20C. I also undervolted the GPU to ~0.9V, and lowered temps while gaming. No performance lost found by doing it.

I try to under volt too but not very sure if I do it correctly.
Here is the screenshot with voltage.

Not playing game recently as notice the temperature is raising up easily...waiting thermal paste before start gaming again.

It is not a bad start. I forgot to say that undervolting takes some time. It took me few hrs. I managed to -0.120V(-120mV). If you don't want to spend a lot of time try going for 100mV undervolt. Run a 10-15min CPU stress test then lower with smaller steps and do test after each and every change. Do not worry if you PC crashes, when using IntelXTU your PC will reset the CPU undervolt to 0 (no undervolt). If this happens just do even smaller step. If you need more assistance you can hit me with dm or here. :) Good luck!

little reminder. Clevo control center is already undervolting -0.50 or -0.100 depending to CPU. You can lookup in clevo control installer folder in a text file to check. Just disable Turbo boost or limit it to 30-40W. Good to go.

Hm, strange I did not check nor know this. I am not using CCC anyway since it was kind of limited and there were no updates since 2019. I bought Obsidian-PC software and I am very happy with it at the moment. Would recommend it too.
    What curve?

Oh here it is. upload_2020-5-9_14-59-14.png Just flat out from 912mV works perfect for me. With 25C room temp I get max 75C GPU temp. NOTE!! It might not work for every possible scenario, a long time ago I had it a 900mV and Rainbow Six Siege crashed after a few seconds in-game.
