Laptops are a pain, nah?
But I`d rather upgrade a system that I know , with a perfect screen, than buy another one and deal with the waiting again.
-
am i correct that to run a t9300 i would have to do the mobo upgrade or does it work on the old one?
-
I think the penryns ,since they`re supported in the Santa Rosa platform will work regardless.
-
no not all of them a lot of mobo's needed firmware updates for the penryn's to work right

I don't know about the older revisions, but I got the most recent 5793 in mid-March and I use sleep on a regular basis. On ONE occasion when I tried to sleep my lappy, it went to sleep, then woke up about 5 seconds later. I was in a rush so I just turned it off (boot time is pretty damn fast even with all the crap I'm running. FYI: I use PerfectDisk to keep my system files neat), so I don't know if it would have slept if i tried once more or if it would have done the same again. Interesting, but I don't know if it was hardware or software related. (Vista?, :s)
-
im curious though now about the sleep why a lot of people now are saying it does work ..?? personally if i can get the gpu and drop in a t9300 id just get the gpu and forget sending my system away.. im debating on selling this just because of the cost to upgrade and i really would like a 15" but if i know for sure i can get a penryn and sleep (the wife is always using it even though i tell her not to she clicks sleep arghhhhh id have to get strict about it i guess or i guess i can change the settings for it)... i do have a perspective buyer and then i could always re-order a 5793... but man what a hassle and my system i know works and i have 0 dead pixels etc...also the silver trim though i def didnt like it at first seems to be growing on me
-
also could sleep be working now due to maybe the new bios update etc?? seems odd why it is working for some yet others say it doesnt work
-
I've got mine since Yesterday evening, didn't do much on it 'cause I first want to split the HDD in 2 parts.
But I will need to work some things out: the "scroll" on the touchpad isn't working, got to find where you can deactivate Vista asking if you want to continue and I'm gonna benchmark to be sure everything is working fine. -
Congrats!
Where did you purchase it? -
i felt like my watch is moving slower since i placed my order
-
What I have to pay is 1908 -
OK, that is a site that I have never heard of. How were they in terms of service?
-
Is English OK or are you also from Belgium? -
English is OK
-
OK, finished updating the 1st post.
I would like some more XP scores though -
i didnt see it in there but maybe i missed it.. you may want to add that unofficially the 5791 model can run the penryn's including the x9000 with a bios update. sager says it can not but i have 2 confirmed people doing this very thing.. if i missed it then i didnt read very well.. lol
-
Done .....
-
-
How much of an OC have you did Naticus, and what was your stock score ?
-
-
-
Kewl, I might just consider OCing the CPU myself.
Do you have a guide or a program you used for OCing ? -
Dan -
-
hmm well heck am i right or does bios 1.00.08 not allow for oc'ing the cpu's?
if i could get a dump of someones sager 5793 extreme bios that would be fantastic... any takers... -

Thanks to kaltmond and bhattsan for the links...
Just thought I'd post it here to inform you guys.
Anyways, I just ran 3Dmark06 with a T7250 OC'd to 2,4 GHZ...I got 9750 3dmarks.
Not shabby for a T7250 CPU! -

I got my M57RU DIVINE-X today! and I couldn't find any dead pixels.
one question though, I don't know if the drivers which come with the dvd are already installed or not? (all of them became "grayed out" when I opened the window) -
They`re installed. But you should be able to "ungray" them by using Unlock or something.
XoticPc installs them so I don`t think Eurocom doesn`t. -
ok. thanks.
-
has anyone tried to downclock the 8800m to increase the battery life?
also how is the sub woofer? is it even noticeable? -
the sub woofer isnt too noticeable, and ill say it again the speaker system is "acceptable" i have heard better.
-
^^^ agreed its just okay imo..
-
I just use headphones
-
XP 3DMark06 results:
T9300, 8800M, 4GB, 174.82 driver(stock clock)=9450
OC'd to 10295 now. -
Darn it,now I really need to get myself that 8800M GTX. Can`t wait for June...
The subwoofer is more like a myth than a real component. It`s a 2w speaker set, what`d you expect? -
no I don't expect anything. I have 3 headphone/earphones for audio already. Sennheiser's HD 280 Pro, Bang & Olufsen A8, and Ultimate Ears Super.fi 5 Pro

Using stock drivers (167.43 or 44, which I think is best...) the 8800M GTX automatically downclocks for optimal battery life. That is why you can get like 2+ hours of life (if you got screen on low and no wireless...) even though it is a large, power-mongering system (I feel for 9262 owners though ) -

Wow, that audio jack repelacement feature in the 5793 is very useful, you can have 3+ people on 3 headphones at the same time!!!
-
-
arghhhh does anyone have a decent sager logo i need one to replace the style note in the bios.. i suck at photoshop etc.. lmk or post it here if you have one..i will post this bios up once we have this new clevo one with the sager logo... also if there is another vendor and you are using the style note logo this can easily be changed.
size limits are 640 x 480 and around 300k.. thanks -
use that Realtek Program, click on the colored circles at the right.
-
HKman, I`ve tried that, but the jack on the left gives no sound and the one on the right (mic jack) gives a poor distorted sound.(with the realtek manager set to auto-detect and identify thingy).
My audio jack has been dead since nov last year and I totally forgot about it. -
Oh, In mine, the Mic jack is perfect, and the blue jack is lightly audible.
-
I use a splitter when I watch movies with my girlfriend,2 sets of headphones and plugged into my USB sound card ,since as I said, the regular headphone jack is dead, dead I tell ya .
-
Hooray Vista Crashed ANd I lost all of my data!!!
-
System restore?
-
The OS itself is not loading, I just did a fresh install and installed XP as a dual boot option
-
