i will do some photos tomorrow in daylight :p

The build feels very very very solid, doesnt get hot either, is heavier then my whitebook tho

I prefer the overlook and feel of this one tho, the internals are 500x better then the white book, and alot better then the m17x, 10 mins for cpu or gpu in or out

    very very pleased

Doing a little happy dance waiting for mine ;) Seems like with the bios mod the M17x might be able to clock higher, but I'm liking what I hear about the construction of the Sager. Here's to hoping we see the unlocked bios some day.

Either of you that have the laptop play ARMA2 at all? I'm curious to see what kind of results people will get with taxing games. Both of you are happy with the 18.4 screen though correct also how is the noise?

I asked about noise on another page like 6 or 7.
He said it was quiet and was surprised at how quiet.

Enabled 2 GPU is what you need .

Open the Nvidia control panel and click manage 3d settings

At the top of the control panel there is something that says 3dsettings click on the show SLI visual indicator and run a game , there will be a long green bar that will fill up when your running SLI .

You can test it in games to see how much the game takes advantage of both cards and to make sure its working.

use the link i gave you above.

for the 190.38 you would have to use a different inf.

or you can do what quad says lol.

Click on the SLI and Physx tab and take a screenshot of it for us to see.

You have SLI because it clearly says it right in the Nvidia control panel.

Half way down in that screen shot you took it says SLI performance Mode Nvidia recommended :).

Did you disable Vsync in the control panel or the game ?

If your not using the latest drivers then the drivers your using does not have an SLI profile for Streetfighter 4 its that simple .

Also i think in that Streetfighter 4 benchmark you have to set it to variable frame rate not fixed .

And run the game at 1920x1080 not 1280x720 that machine you have does not need to lower the resolution.

dazman i did the sli zone and i say my sli is not enable.

I put the 3d visual thing on and I play a game and it does show me SLI.
So I think the sli zone is wrong. I think is only for desktop gpu

I think it's because it's not a Nvida motherboard or rather it isn't certified by them.

So M980Nu owners, what say you about the quality and performance of these beasts?

Build quality sounds high from Pmanuk, ambient noise sounds to be low, screen sounds to be gorgeous, benchmarks at stock speeds look awesome. Is there a flaw with these, so far they sound too good to be true.

All in all is this the system to buy over the M17x for a high end gaming rig? My current DTR laptop is dying on me and I am now rushing to get up to snuff on the current laptop offerings and the M980Nu is certainly on my short list for purchase in the next month or two.

    Thanks in advance,
    -Ken

i had the arguement couple of weeks ago

maybe in the short term because of its natural higher clock, but if you are playing anything quad optimised then qx9300 is better

im getting closer to mandrake ;)

More and more people will start getting this system and they can't put their benchmarks there. Don and I are always happy to post comparisons.

Very nice score and temps. Plenty of room to push it. Scored a new high in 06 myself today.
