Undervolted CPU
-25-27 for CPU
-52-54 for GPU
-32-35 for HDD
Ambient Temp:24-25
@Eleron you really have a low temp for GPU.Any under volting/clocking?

Anyone out there with a E8500 cpu installed? Any issues or problems with this cpu? It is not supported in the US as yet, but is it a compatibility or availability issue?
-
Hdd: 32-45
Cpu: 35-45 (@3.2GHz) -

37 idle?Wow.Whats your room temp?Do you also do anything special to keep it that way?
Mine slowly rises till 62 and then comes down and is stable. -
OK, I'm cheating really, it's on an NC2000...
-
Mine is a 7950GTX, true, but it`s a 45W GPU, unlike your 35W 8800M GTX.
And no cooler or such, just using my guide to cool it down.
No underclocking etc.
Just Undervolted CPU. -
Ok , I guess I was wrong, I forgot that when I don`t do stuff, I watch movies, that`s why the GPU idles at 38ish.
Looky here
My RU is a bad ass machinery, I guess the dust cleanup I did today made wondersAttached Files:

hey
Since mine uses less power shouldn't it be cooler?May be time to apply some thermal paste.
-
-
The_Observer 9262 is the best:)
I think it's time I do that.I have ordered Shin-Etsu x23 and that should come soon.Once it come I will apply it.
-
An interesting aside, my gfx card is now running at 48 idle with all the same programs running... The only difference is that I have now plugged in a secondary screen (1280x1024, 19")... I didn't expect that to make a 10deg difference...
-
The_Observer 9262 is the best:)
I still can;t emulate all of your idle temps even with Zalman NC2000.it hovers about 54.I am sure there are no dust in vents, probably lack of artic silver or smthng else.
-
The RU is just cooler, face it
-
The_Observer 9262 is the best:)
I really don't think RU is cooler or quieter.Just an observation based on the fan size and comments.
-
Quieter? definitely not.
Cooler, totaly.
I remember even when reading Chaz`s reviews about the D901C and the 5791/3 .
The RU is cooler , but also noisier. Not that it really matters. -
dont allota ppl complain the 5793 gets a bit warm? someone here who had both said the same thing. Unless you mean looks cooler... then your just TOTALLY wrong lol... D901c... big sexxi beast of a machine... jk... luv the 570 too. but 901 wins
-
The RU gets warm in the touchpad area, above the hdd and chipset.
But the HD stays around 40-45C , currently at 48 I can feel a warm sensation, but NOT HOT.
RU wins -
The_Observer 9262 is the best:)
RU wins?I really don't think so.It has 3 fans right?
-
Wrong.
2 fans
And thousand of fans -
The_Observer 9262 is the best:)
2 fans, there goes everything. And for the screen shot that you posted does it remain at 38(?) for a long time?
-
Here's another then. I took it right now.

Come on.....just 2 minutes.Mine is also low when starting up
And you are not in a frozen place right? -
Dude, ok,here`s another one then.A little spike there, where I watched a video on youtube.
MY RU is very cool , I am totally impressedAttached Files:

Ya I see it.May be it's time for some grease in my case.
-
Well, I am a clean freak, dust cleanup monthly and follow my guide by the book
-
The_Observer 9262 is the best:)
I am sure I dnt have dust or anything else.Do you have a cooler? And whats the 8800 BIOS driver?

As I said, I follow my guide by the book
Ambient temp is 22-23C. -
my cores usually min/idle at 38 degrees.... my question is.. in the 5793, why is one core so much higher than the other... they're rite next to each other. unless your using a single core intensive program... thats rele weird. They should at max be like a few degrees apart. My friend had a problem like that and by using other monitoring tools he found that it didnt click with his machine. Btw... just curious, no one found a way to cpu overclock the E6700 in D901c yet rite? either FSB or mult.... just checking since im prolly swapping it out anyway, mine as well OC it a bit.
-
Hey guys I have a N draft router do I have to turn on something on the laptop to enable it to use N? Right now it says its still using G.
-
The_Observer 9262 is the best:)
It's hopeless
I am sure the notebook is clean,no dust and fans are working well. Now the idle is 48.May be after the shin atsu it will be better.
-
Rambo, I don`t want to rub it in, but you do not want to hear idle temps with max fans
The thing is, among many RU users, I seem to have a very cool unit. I may be very lucky in this regard.
My system never sees temps above 65C, in any component with auto or full fan mode...so I think I am the owner of one awesome edition -
The_Observer 9262 is the best:)
Come on Eleron;
You will open up the window of possibilities which seems impossible otherwise. My room temp is 24-25.I will change it to 22 to see how much it changes -
Lol, bring it on

Anything would be nice as the ppl would look through them to make their buying decisions.
-
just to rant.. i never understood how alienware exists... they're systems are overpriced... overheated... and thats it... i assume they're just a name brand now, thats why ppl go with them. but clevo has been beating them in the 17" markets... and soon to be 15"....
-
In fact, some people will pay ungodly sums of money for what amounts to a proprietary mixture of water, alcohol, and stuff squeezed out of flower petals and whatnot; for example, I believe that this:
goes (or went) for around 47,500 pounds.
Let me say that again,
The same principle applies to Alienware and its ilk.Last edited by a moderator: Feb 6, 2015 -

Ther's a demand for everything shiny. And those guys know it well.
Think of it as the equivalent of every girl dying for a piece of white rock made from the blood somewhere in Africa as the proof of your love.Seems strange? How many guys do buy that.I am not surprised by the existence of Alienware.
