You need to mod heatsink - not only thermal pads. You need to rebuild heatsink otherwise doesn't worth.

Yes. As I write before this upgrade doesn't worth.. Better wait for newest generation with new chipset and cpu. Next year Oster time..

I do not recommend the 9900k because it heats a lot and vrm of the motherboard put themselves in protection and they cut the turbo boost

It's the same. But change the BIOS extension from .rom to .bin to be fail safe. Follow the rest of instructions in the first page

Hi friends. I yave a question. someone tried to flash p775dm3 firmware from p775tm using the programmer ( and EC too)? Laptop is working or not? I visually compared the motherboards in the photos and they seem to be the same to the power scheme and location SMD chips.

Never ever mix EC from another model. I have a P775DM3-G with the TM1 BIOS (1.07.26) and with a 8700k and the 1080. Don't cross flash the EC.. You'll hard brick your laptop. The BIOS from TM1 in OP is modified for compability for the DM3. Use the EC for the DM3 in your DM3

i thinking you use a Dsanke bios for 775dm3, but i ask - is possible flash Bios loaded from official site (without mod) for 775tm to 775DM3 motherboard with programmer? in hardware info (aida64 etc...) it is possible to change display chipset model from z170 to z370 like original p775TM

Chipset will always be z170. Not a fake one. The bios will simply add support for 9th gen cpus and rtx gpu. Yes it's possible to flash. BIOS chip is in the middle of the motherboard under the keyboard. I can send ya photos of the mod I did for mine to easy access to the BIOS chip when I get home :)
