Got a 1080. The TM1 bios should support GTX and RTX without driver modding

The gpu is far more power consuming than the CPU even lightly loaded.

Must me a BIOS problem where the LCD isnt certified. In DM3 stock BIOS I didn't had g-sync either. Only got g-sync back on the TM1 modified BIOS for the DM3 and with the 8700k cpu

If your LCD is AUO B173HAN03.1 indeed, then upgrade CPU to 9900K/9700K and you will have g-sync back.

I believe you need at least an 8th gen i5 CPU for G-Sync to be accessible.

My mainboard died so whilst I'm waiting for the replacement board (P750DM3) from eBay, I was curious - is the 8700K usable in this 15" model, assuming firmware updates apply successfully?

You need a bios and CPU pin mod to work in the older models.

Do anyone is experiencing sound board/ place where it sits to be extremely hot?(near jack placement). Especially when listening to music or playing games with sound on.

I've been struggling with it couple of months already. Things like stock Bios/ different drivers/ sound board swap doesn't work. My last project was to get CoolerMaster U3 Plus coiling pad. I arranged 3 fans to cool area where sound board sits - but it's still hot enough to be uncomfortable for user (i guess it comes from fact that soundboad is on the top and it's hard to reach it from beneath).

What are you plugging into the line-out? Maybe the headphones are too heavy Ohm-wise and the sound card is struggling, and producing heat.

If the sound chips are getting too hot running the the laptop's internal speakers, then either something is wrong, or the model has horrible case cooling. More likely there's an issue, and would have the laptop looked at.

Actually this happens not only for clevo models, but as well for alienware.
Alienware has it because when the soundcard is turned on and enabled then it always outputs some low freq sound to speakers, around 10 Hz. This happens when any app with sound is running. When sound is disabled that area stays cool.
In clevo I think same thing might happen.

Anyway it's not supposed to be so.

Not on any of the Clevos I've mounted or owned so far. Only saw the same behaviour on short circuits or faulty hardware

Im out of ideas. I left it in professional service for month. They couldn't tell what is causing it. They told me what i already knew - that i can try to get new soundboard and see if it change anything.

True. When sound is disabled completely (device manager/turn off device) it doesn't heat up. Seems like u are familiar with it. Do u have any idea how i could fix it?

Service told me that there is "no short circuits" there. S omehow i don't believe em coz at end they told me to swap soundboard and see what happens.

Anyway. Only idea that comes in my mind is that could be somehow connected to right drivers or some setting in windows. Problem was seen on various laptops as @IllusiveMan said.

    https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?82619-G752-Audio-jack-area-too-hot

I found loooong topic about it in Asus ROG G752. Unfortunately they didn't find solution or what is causing it also.

Also it could be related to the firmware. I have no idea how to fix these in the firmware...
On some moments I was hearing this background noise when the machine is for example in BIOS, only when both fans are off this can be heard. It came from speakers and the subwoofer, but I didn't pay attention after BIOS update from this thread.
Driver related stuff is already a constant problem with this windows OS, every new version has more and more bugs.

Maybe people can report their case of how hot it gets when they're playing some audio via speakers and/or headphones.

Overheating circuit is just poorly designed engineering. If there are revisions of that soundboard, I would try another.

No inf mod is needed, it should work fine with the nvflash I have provided (which overrides hardwareid error)

remember to set cmd location to nvflash then type this:

    nvflash64 -6 190w.rom

Click ‘y’ to everything until flashing process completes, then restart the computer :D

Hello, please excuse me for my bad English.
I just installed the DSANK bios in my p870dm3 g. For the moment I have a 6700K (pending an I9900K) and I see that it is bridle. Is this normal? What must be done to exploit it properly?
something else my g-sync has disappeared.
Thank you to those who can help me
