Delivery was lightning quick (only 6 days from order date)! Communication was very quick as well (at all times of the day). Changed my delivery address quickly mid shipment without question when I realized how soon it would be here. Hardest thing was having to ask for the tracking # 3 times, and that's pretty good when it's the only thing you can think to complain about :)

I opted to keep the Malibal logo and I like it. It is much lower profile than I thought it would be and it looks very classy on the lid. I can't find any dead pixels on the beautiful 95% glossy screen and I had it churning through the Heaven benchmark yesterday. Very very pleased with Malibal and the awesome price I got.

Was looking at buying my first Malibal laptop yesterday but wanted to chat with a sales rep first to see if there might be any additional discounts they could offer (as mentioned multiple times here on the forum). The sale agent was curt and rude and abruptly ended our conversation... I have to say after reading so much about the great service from Malibal I was blown away. So much in fact that I sent in a ticket with the chat transcript stating how unhappy I was.

Tonight after checking the ticket online I see it has been closed and I never heard anything back. All in all not the experience I was hoping for...

Now I am not sure whether to just bite the bullet and order the system hoping this was an isolated incident or just someone having a bad day, or look elsewhere.

I placed my order on 9/September/2011 for the MALIBAL SATORI (P170HM), and asked the agent if they had all the parts I picked in stock, he said yes, I made my payment by cash early morning on 12/sep/11 (because bank closed early on Friday =/ ), my order was processed until 13th :(

    I use my laptop to work from home as a webmaster for a Japanese company (and HC gaming :D )... So I'm kinda desperate to receive my machine ASAP =p I got UPS 2 Day Air. I truly hope it gets shipped tomorrow, so I can get it by Thursday and catch-up working hours on Friday Tokyo time ^^;

I'm Counting on you MALIBAL TEAM! :)

I had a similar experience last week. I opened a ticket asking for a quote on a machine, and received no reply. After reading several posts about the good service they have received from Malibal (including quick response times), I was surprised. When I didn't receive a reply after a couple of days, I checked the ticket status and found it had been closed. Not even a response telling me it was being closed.

As a potential customer, ready to buy with cash in hand, I was disappointed and frustrated. I'm reconsidering them currently due to the promotion they are running on the laptop I want, but your eerily similar experience gives me pause for thought.

Well, I will be very happy as long as I get my SATORI P170HM by Fri/Sat, even if I have to work over the weekend ^^; and complete my full review on the machine by Sunday.

I almost cannot wait anymore! :D

Basically exactly what happened to me. Abruptly ended chats, hung-up phone calls, closed tickets with no reply or explanation... They may have had the cheapest price, but I went with Larry at LPC-Digital because he had better customer service.

Was thinking I was going to go with Malibal even after this incident as everyone else had such stellar experiences. But when I went to configure the system on their website I found that my account had been locked. Guess they were not a fan of my feedback.

Luckily most of the other retailers price match, so I'll look elsewhere.

I had a similar experience with Malibal. Once, a rep ended a chat abruptly and felt he/she was rude at the same time. Sometimes I would get those annoyingly short responses. However, other times I received excellent customer service. I think it might be just a few customer reps or just one that does that and we got unlucky.

I still ordered from Malibal (processed order date was 9/3) and received my P150HM-S1 today in the mail. I got a deal on the 95% matter screen and they upgraded my shipping from UPS ground to 2 day air at no extra charge. The laptop came with a nice laptop bag but I don't know if that is standard or not.

Laptop is working perfectly so far but I need to more time to play with it. Overall, it has been a good experience with Malibal so far.

I don't know as Malibal did it themselves. Maybe it was because it took a bit longer to ship after the order was processed?

Hi, a lot of times - if there is a significant delay on an order, we will give FREE upgraded 2nd Day or Overnight shipping to compensate the customer. :)

I placed my order on September 4. The ticket was paid and processed on the 7th. On Monday (September 19), a shipping ticket was created, but then yesterday a new one got created. lol. So I guess it didn't ship Monday. But shipping got upgraded to Next Day Air due to the delay, and it is expected to be at my front door at 3pm EST. :) So considering you ordered yours almost a week after mine, you're actually pretty good off.

I was disappointed it didn't ship sooner by the estimated ship time (September 14), but I have to say it is nice courtesy of MALIBAL to upgrade the shipping on delayed orders. Thanks gang. Looking forward to opening this thing up!

Well MALIBAL already sent me an "Order delay" e-mail... it seems like 3D systems are now back-order and mine was not build before that happen T_T They already told me I will get overnight shipping at no extra cost :) (when they get the parts), I truly wasn't expecting any delays tho. In fact I have a MTG with my Boss on Monday 26th (I will borrow another machine for that), plus if I don't have my machine by the 27th, each day after that I will be losing 150 USD from my salary =/

So... yeah, I was told my parts were in stock when I placed my order but since my payment was processed until the 13th I cannot be certain they were still in stock then. This is my responsibility for not making my payment much earlier while I could, and for not asking them again about it that day.

    I'm grateful with the MALIBAL TEAM for their efforts to deliver my machine ASAP. At any case, my full review will have to wait a bit more until I catch up with my job next week ^^;

    Good thing I didn't order a nvidia 3d system then ^.^
Hope my order ships on time by next Tuesday like the agents have been telling me(I've been checking on my order every day so there's no surprises the day it should be shipped)

^^; The weird part is that I wont even use 3D, I ordered it like that because of the 120hz capability =D

I already got Deus EX HR, The Witcher 2 and I also had Crysis 2 for my review and comparison :D

I will also test some games that give me over 100 FPS on 60hz and 120hz to see how noticeable is the difference in reality ^o^

We've caught up on all orders and are shipping out new orders in 3-5 business on average right now. The only model that has a backlog is the P170HM-3D, but we have a shipment arriving next week - so, we'll catch up on those very soon as well. Mubay, you are at the top of our priority list, so yours will be one of the first we ship out when the new systems arrive. :)

Fantastic! I'm looking forward to it. In fact one of my friends is considering to sell his G73 to get a P170HM with a 6990M (He's an ATI Fan ^^; ) but he wants to check mine before taking the step.

I also ordered some Japanese shooters with lots of fast action ;)

Does anyone know if any of these clevo resellers list actual stats on the percentage of dead pixels they ship out(instead of workers saying they've only heard of x number)? Has anyone here ended up with a Malibal with a dead pixel?

Also, has anyone contacted them after the first month or so for their warranty and how was the experience?

I actually asked the same thing when I placed my order, and also checked here and there, I found one person that reported having 1 death pixel (0 bright) on his screen, only him so far.

Nevertheless, I ordered my computer from MALIBAL with a GRADE A 45 day Perfect panel guaranty for +75 USD just because I simply cannot stand a single death/stuck/bright pixel on my screen, I had one a long time ago at the very corner of my screen and I keep looking at it all the time, so I ended up with a hell of a headache.

From that day I always run tests on all my screens with the full screen Solid Colors method: BLUE-RED-GREEN-WHITE and BLACK.

I will get my P170HM SATORI next Thursday and I will make a full review on the screen including pixel quality, viewing angles and response, =) hope that works for you.

Yeah, I've been eyeing the satori, too. Sounds like its worth it, the only thing I'd miss is my accidental damage drop it in a bowl of water and throw it out a third story window and well still replace it warranty.

I ordered the Satori P170HM on Sept 30. On Oct 4, I got my tracking number and HOPEFULLY before Friday, I'll get my package.... or else I'll probably have to wait till the 11th.

It's getting shipped to Canada so hopefully customs doesn't open it up and play with it ><

I looked around 6 different companies before picking Malibal. I'll write up a review of it and the comp once I get it.

I got my machine today and checked the screen with this website: LCD Dead Pixel Test Backgrounds tested all the colors on full screen and they ALL Look Fantastic!

So No Death, stuck or bright pixels here ;)

I will be making the Full review very soon.

I just ordered my first clevo/sager from Malibal and so far I've been impressed with the speed of replies to e-mails and PMs. My Satori was ordered pretty stock except for the 6990M upgrade, so hopefully there aren't any delays and it gets out the door quickly! wink, wink ;)

I plan on applying IC7 myself, dropping a SSD in right away then possibly a screen upgrade in the future, depending if more 120hz options pop up or get the AU Optronics matte.

I'll update once I receive it with (hopefully) a favorable ending.

I'd like to add that I've been extremely impressed by all the resellers here on the forums, I don't think you could go wrong with any of them.

    ** update **

order was placed on 10/6, payment confirmed and processed on 10/7. Shipment confirmation on 10/14, so 5 business days. UPS tracking shows pretty quick delivery, leaving on Friday and arriving on Tuesday..... One more day to wait

Thanks for the review. Ordered pretty much the same Satori but with the GTX 560 (didn't knew the 580 gives u the 120hz screen for free) and a better cpu (2 upgrades) as well as the Intel 510 SSD 120GB. Will do a review as soon as I get it :)

It doesn't come with that for free, there was a promotion they were running that offered up a free upgrade. Now, its $125 off any config $1500+ so basically about the same thing.

Hopefully someone from Malibal sees this. I didn't have the best customer service experience just now, so I'd just like to know some things. I've sent a PM with details to the main account, but I think there was a second as well. Either way, please get back to me.

Well I bought my Malibal P150HM over a month ago, got it after a little over a week(I think), had to send it back for a screen problem. Week and a half later I get it back, they replaced the screen with the wrong one - sent it back again. So I FINALLY get to actually enjoy using the thing after spending $1,600. No apology, partial refund/credit or anything for me not having it for almost a month, thanks.

    What was your screen problem?

I just received my P170HM with the 90% NTSC screen today and it won't turn on. Works when i plug it into an external display tho. Called malibal up and now have to wait for shipping label to return it in order to fix. Not their fault, probably something disconnected with the screen during shipping.

I hope i won't run into same problem with wrong screen replacement @_@.

There was some sort of spot on the screen that made pixels brighter in a penny-sized area... it worked fine but i just kept staring at it.

sent it back, they replace my glossy with a matte screen so I had to send it back again.

edit: i could have just waited until some time last week to get a laptop cuz they're slightly cheaper(and they had a better discount when i bought mine).

Not too sure how to tell or what all the differences are.. But my brother's 2-3 year old HP laptop is much dimmer than my p150hm when both are at max brightness...

Basically read through this entire thread--

I had been set on getting an asus g74sx, but the ability to house a radeon 6990 and the awesome reviews given here have got me wanting to make a purchase with Malibal.

Hopefully I will have the money for the Veda soon.

Malibal, is the nbr free shipping code stackable with the black friday free shipping discount?

    Thanks-

I was thinking of getting the MALIBAL Lotus P151HM but I have a few questions and I don't know where else to ask. First off, It says I can save 50 dollars by switching the ram from the 8gb 4 -so to the 2 - so and I was wondering if there is any difference between the two of these. Also, I will be using this for gaming and was wondering if its worth the $40 to upgrade the IC diamond thermal compound and whether or not that actually helps prevent it from overheating.
Also, would it be cheaper to just buy the windows separately since I can get a college student discount?

you mean switch from 4so to 2? it just means that you would get 4x2gb rather than 2x4gb, so if you ever want to add more memory yourself, you'd have to take out a stick. It's up to you in my opinion, if you just want to be able to open it up and add more ram to the 8gb, i'd say get the 2so dimm, just easier i think.

the ic diamond compound does help noticeably, but you could put it on yourself and buy a tube cheaper online. again, it's up to you, if you want it done and dont feel like playing around with your hardware, might want malibal to do it.

if you get a student discount you might as well buy windows seperately if it's cheaper, i'd check the price from your college real quick before buying!

My laptop came yesterday, it has a pretty noticeable few stuck pixels and none of the methods for removing them are working. I didn't get the extra dead pixel warranty, will they still fix it but at cost? How much would it be if they did? Kind of disappointed you have to wait until a whole 6 pixels for the regular warranty to kick in

Also ordered a P151HM1 without the 45 days dead pixel warranty... I hope they're not putting defective screens with those who didn't sign up for that warranty and placing perfect screens with those who did :p.

Here too, I just ordered P150HM. I did not get the 45 days warranty as well but the 30 days money back guarantee makes me bit comfortable, especially that they have a local shipping address so I do not have to ship it back to USA.

I am positive and really expect to get a perfect screen!

No stuck pixels here. And the color calibration does seem to change what would normally be "Black" in certain screens. But the screen is gorgeous and no stuck pixels. Malibal has exceptional customer service, very impressed so far.

My only problem is that the right side of the keyboard seems to make a plastic tapping noise as if something is not quite 100% secure when I press firmly, not hard but firmly, on the keys. I'm going to check with them and see if that is just a mild defect or how the unit is built.

Must say I wasn't too happy about my Malibal experience. My P151HM arrived and it was perfect. However, I did have some graphics problem when I started playing Skyrim and Battlefield kept crashing like crazy. I sent several emails to Malibal but sadly received no reply whatsoever. I also did read some other reviews mentioning the same problem with the not answering. Anyway, I later resolved the issue and everything was fine. But it still worries me, if it was a more serious issue I would've liked a hasty reply. 4/5 stars in my book.

We reply to all of our tickets. I'm not sure what email address you used, but maybe it was caught in a spam folder?

I'm not sure. I submitted my ticket via the "Contact" link. Submitted ticket along with the Serial number, etc. I do hope it was just a simple error. :)

Hey guys I am considering buying a laptop from malilbal also, I was wondering about the shipping costs to Canada, do we have to pay for the border fees or anything of that sort, or any other CODs?
