Just wanted to add to the great reviews. I received my laptop in perfect condition, without any dead pixels or heating problems. When I was ordering my laptop and even now MALIBAL has quickly responded to any of my question in usually just a few minutes. They have been great with everything and I am more then happy with my laptop. I would definitely recommend them and buy through them again.

Well my order has been sent to malibal im so excited to get my laptop with a 6990m and hope it serves me well the next few years! Props To whoever is behind the "Malibal" name, thanks for putting up with all my questions and being very helpful through my quest to get myself to place an order. I got my Lotus P150HM today and it is sweet! I feel a little shortchanged cause it came without the Malibal branding. Just a THX and HDMI sticker, I was like ??? I have an Intel 6300 wifi card and a Intel 510 250GB SSD I'm itching to install in it. Just have to get up the nerve to put on the scrubs and prep the OR to open it up and get Dr. Frankenstein on it.

I placed an order for a P150HM-S1 on 9/3/2011. I am impressed with their live chat service because they usually reply within seconds but had an unpleasant experience with it.
Yesterday I used the live chat to change part of the configuration and I also wanted to upgrade the warranty. Things went fine for the most part,however, I did feel as if the person was in a rush and really did not want to chat. My suspicions were confirmed when I was about to tell the person to upgrade the warranty for me. The person ended the chat all of a sudden. I don't know if the person accidentally closed the chat window or not but that was rude. Now I understand what wispofdoom was talking about. Now I feel hesitant to use the live chat service.
Other than that I have been pleased with everything else and the price is excellent. -

Hmm, definitely something they can improve on, but for me I used their support ticketing system. That way, customer service representatives have a backlog of all my messages and whatnot in front of them, and they can answer on their own time. Their responses during work hours were very quick as well.

I dont think theres much more that can be said about Malibal that hasnt already in this thread. Simply put; theyre the best company Ive ever dealt with when buying an electronic. Malibal puts their customers satisfaction first and wont settle for anything less.
I was directed towards the Sager/Clevo models after looking at an HP DV6Tqe (thank god I didnt buy it!) for a while. At first I was a bit worried, buying a custom computer without a big name brand like Dell or HP behind it, but after reading many reviews I decided that most of the resellers on this site seemed trustworthy enough.
After shopping around with different retailers, I decided to go with Malibal because I liked their name the most, and because they sold me a laptop at a price every other reseller said wasnt possible. Their customer service, both on NBR and their site is unmatched by any other Ive dealt with (coming from Dell/Hp). Tickets or questions were generally answered within minutes to a couple hours at any given time of day, and their sales reps didnt try to push any upgrade I didnt ask for; much appreciated. Unfortunately there was a delay with my order, due to an unexpected complication with the video card I had chosen. Because of the delay Malibal felt the need to compensate their customers for a problem that was completely out of their control. At this point I knew I had made a great decision with my choice. Any company who values customer satisfaction this much deserves to be applauded.
While I had no problem with my laptop being delayed for a few weeks, it was coming down to the wire, as I needed it before Labor Day weekend so that I could take advantage of my schools free windows 7 offer before I left the country. Because my laptop wasnt expected to ship until after the offer had expired and right before my departure, I opted to change my video card to hopefully help expedite things. To my dismay, my expected ship date was still the same. I sent Malibal a couple messages, explaining my situation and asked if I could downgrade my card so that I could afford windows 7; since I was no longer able to take part in my schools offer and was completely strapped for cash. Unfortunately because it was the morning that my laptop was going to be shipped, any change wasnt possible (up until this point they were more than happy to make any change Id have liked). Like any great company, they apologized for any inconvenience the delay with my notebook may have caused, and threw windows 7 in with my order last minute so that I could enjoy my system when it arrived. I was, and still am, completely in awe that they cared so much about my order satisfaction to do such a thing. After receiving my laptop Ive been above and beyond satisfied, the build quality, packaging, and amazing support has diminished any worries I once had of ordering from an unknown brand.
If you want the best price possible on a notebook, with unparalleled customer service then dont hesitate to order from Malibal. My only regret is not having purchased from them sooner. Satisfied doesnt even begin to describe the feeling I have towards my order, and their company as a whole. -

Some general impressions after receiving my laptop today:
All communications between me and Malibal, be it via PMs, phone for credit card verification, and support tickets have been very, very fast. You will not see such quick response times from large vendors like Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc.
The laptop arrived with the latest BIOS and EC, so I would not need to fiddle with flashing the BIOS myself.
Currently I am booting Ubuntu 11.04 Live CD on it, because I am waiting for my Crucial M4 SSD to arrive at my local computer shop.
[Update]: No dead pixels here, nor any ghosting problems, or any irregularities with this screen. Simply awesome. Getting used to the keyboard is taking me awhile, I have not used chiclet style keyboards before, and the spacing between keys is a bit narrower than the keyboard I have on my desktop. Oddly enough I felt right at home with my old laptop's keyboard. :S I would still get this laptop, knowing that the key spacing was a bit narrower than I was used to.
In summary, I would definitely deal with Malibal again, and would not hesitate to refer my friends and relatives to this great company. -
Yesterday I stayed 40 minutes on the live chat talking with the Malibal Agent, he helped me to go thru all the steps to place my order since I'm outside the US.
At the end my stupid bank did not released the payment even tho I have 6000 USD available on the card (I have used it on Amazon US before so I wonder why I got a 15005 error)
Right now I'm changing the status of my card to the advanced package for online payments, It should be done by Monday or Tuesday =) Wait for me P170HM!!

Very basic responses, yes, no, ok, not sure I ever got a complete sentence to any of my questions.

So I am now a proud owner of a P151HM1 and am very pleased with the laptop. Malibal was quick with their service and getting me the laptop. There is only one thing that really annoys me. Before I even received my laptop, the same laptop configuration turns out to be over 100 dollars cheaper. Normally this would not bug me but its the fact that it happened BEFORE I even got the laptop. I contacted their billing department and their response was quick and full of spelling mistakes. I felt like they were just shoving me off and don't care at all.
I understand that prices change but most places will reimburse you if it happens before you get your package. Also most places spell their responses correctly. Overall though the performance of the laptop has been fantastic. -
I finally placed my Order for the MALIBAL SATORI (P170HM). Now I just have to make the Wired transfer (stupid bank closes early >.< ), to have it build and shipped on a 2 Day Shipping UPS Air
First allow me to say the Staff from Malibal has been amazing with me, from the beginning to the end they oriented me during the Live-chat and Support tickets with full responses explaining everything I asked. Plus I got some fantastic discounts too!! So I was able to buy the machine with a GTX 580M + Matte screen 120hz *-*, instead of a Matte 60hz + 6990M.
This is why I decided to add the ICD7 and No Dead pixel warranty =D
I will make a full review when I get my machine with pictures, video and benchmaks here and one in Spanish at my other forums as well =)

I'd just like to say that I spoke with Malibal first when I was considering a Sager. I felt like some of the replies were rushed and half-baked, so I went in search of other resellers. When Malibal saw that I was ordering elsewhere, they apologized for the communication and explained the issue and offered a great price I just couldn't turn down. On top of that, they've processed my order lightning fast and given me upgraded shipping. What I thought started as a bad experience turned into an exceptional one.
This will be my first Sager, so I hope the rest of the experience is as great as the start has been. -

Regardless, I went with your company anyways. The price was too hard to beat. But I did feel the responses were under par (via live chat, email, or pm). By this, I mean that the answers were short and impersonal as compared to some of the other emails I received from the other resellers during my research. Even so, the answers were on point and direct, which is 90% of what I am looking for anyways. I completely understand that you are accommodating multiple clients/customers and are growing in numbers. That is great and congratulations. Thank you again for putting that out there. I feel better now.

I successfully replaced the generic wifi card with an Intel Centrino 6300 I swiped out of my old laptop. Accidentally pulled the keyboard's ribbon cable out of it's connector and went into panic mode. I thought I destroyed the laptop. Searched the internet and found a service manual and it described how to remove /connect the ribbon cable to the motherboard, saved the day too. I reinstalled everything and system booted up correctly. Very happy with the build quality of the P150HM.

So I received the wrong brand of 1600MHz RAM on my notebook when it first arrived (I requested Kingston Pnp instead of Samsung), so MALIBAL sent me the correct RAM through 2 day UPS and just arrived today. Not only that, but they surprised me with 8GB of 1866MHz Kingston HyperX PnP RAM! the fastest RAM for notebook out today and a ~$120 value! thank you MALIBAL--you guys are awesome! now that's what I call great service!

I called Malibal with a few inquiries yesterday and the rep I spoke with was more than helpful. He took my information down and called me back after checking part inventory as well. He shared information about Malibal, and about how they operate. He gave me peace of mind that placing an order with them would be a wonderful experience.

For P150HM owners, the dimensions that I used (measured using a measuring tape) were <s>37.6mm</s> 37.4mm x 23.9mm. This causes the skin to go right to the left and right edge of the lid, and down to the part where the hinge hollows out. The website Gelaskins allows you to enter custom dimensions in imperial or metric measurements. Metric offers a more precise measurement.
I will know for sure whether my measurements were spot on or a bit off in a matter of days.

Just received my P170HM yesterday! Even with the delays from the back-ordered 6990m, my laptop still arrived faster than it would have from any major retailer.
Everything has been working smoothly without any temperature problems, dead pixels, or audio problems.
Every interaction I had with Malibal was helpful. The order and payment were processed quickly, and each time I contacted their sales reps (which I did often), they were quick to help me out.
I'll definitely be buying from Malibal again. -

There was an issue processing my payment and Malibal upgraded me to next day air for free. I contacted them through phone, tickets, and live chat. I received friendly and prompt responses from the company through every means, particularly via phone. Thinking of getting a laptop from xoticpc but have been reading the review for Malibu and i am more than impressed. However, the high shipping charges (USD3xx) is something I cannot afford. Its just wayy too high.

For now, if you want the 6990m, you either have to get the P151HM1 and then upgrade to the 6990m on your own (not recommended), or get the NP8150/8170. -
