But note also the GPU-MHz and the RAM-MHz.
I think this will also create many other users. ;)

The Vcore at the GPU, I have not changed.

    Hi @ all! ;)

Coming soon, while I'm looking for a app. which logged this.
GPU-Z doesn't work. (no temps. logging)
    Do you have an idea?
    edit:

RivaTuner also doesn't work (no temps.)

    edit:

    AtiTool also!

It may be that it comes through the 9.2er Catalyst-Driver?

I have only this picture, but this is nonsense, because the test is very short.

    @ faisalhero

    Sorry, support only in german:

Look @ this here. (with own pictures!!!)

    This is not really difficult.
Yet it is easy if you save the orig. BIOS with GPU-Z on a USB stick and then insert it later in the editor.

But this way (with GPU-Z), I have not chosen.

There is also the way the BIOS directly from Windows to flash, this I have also not chosen and I would not recommend!!!
    http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/Utilities/BIOS_Flashing/ATI/

    Please note:

This makes your everything at your own risk!!!

Thats awesome however since its out of CCC centre bounds im guessing it would void warrenty, i wouldn't try it Juuuuuuuuust yet lol xD.

Maybe when the warrenty is over prehaps unless a game i really want to play comes out and it wont run smooth xD

    haha, awesome

I used RBE to flash my slave vGA card into a Master VGA card. I also got ATi Overdrive to work with it too since the original BIOS didn't have Overdrive for 3870 cards. RBE works with Winflash, where you can flash it from windows. It works with no issues. I have a guide on how to use it, but for dual GPU notebooks. It's still applicable to Single GPU ATi equipped notebooks too.

<snip> hmmm... must've instructed Vista incorrectly before... I wonder why the newer versions of hwmonitor are braindead...

I still haven't tried the ATI traytools suggested from Guru of 3D site or whatever it was called. (Also still using the MSi shipped ATI drivers under Vista, and still 9.2 under linux + X11 (keep forgetting to dig through /proc and see if it's showing up there...).)

Sorry, I do not know.
Both tests are for the Shadermodel 2.0., but the first test stands for an big Indoor-Scenes with many individual characters in the room and the sec. for a smaller outer level with lush vegetation.

Here the temps. during 3DMark06 is running @ 570/1115

Yellow = GC-Temps. (at the arrow is the temp., which even with ATI Overdrive is to be seen)
Red = CPU-Temps. (I believe thats too much high)

    Hello,

I am a bit of a noob when looking at updating the driver etc. I have downloaded and installed the catalyst 9.3 software, or at least i thought i had. But when i go to the Catalyst control centre info it still reads version:2008:1112.2132.38643. How do i upgrade it to the latest version ? or do i have to un in stall this first then download and install 9.3 ? Help very much appreciated.

    Thanks

    John

you need to uninstall old driver first.
reboot and let it install standard vga driver
then you upgrade the standard vga driver with your new driver.

I recommend running ATITool's artifact stability test on those clocks, Tester.

I couldn't get my desktop 4850 to reach those memory clocks without artifacting.

MSI has now also released a carbon version of the GT725. It is 500 grams lighter (2.7kg instead of 3.2kg) than the regular version but it also costs a 100 euros more.

The quad core version that is listed on German retail sites is 300 euros(!!!) more expensive than the regular P9500 version.

Here are some pics of the, in my opinion, better looking quad core version:

I really wanted the quad core version because of the improved looks but i don't want to pay 300 euros (1529 euro as opposed to 1229 euro) more for that. I hope they adjust the price somewhat in the near future.

    EDIT: Removed misinformation.

Well regardless I have to keep the laptop as is, I don't have the time to send it back, need it for a business trip.

Question though: If I want to upgrade to 64 bit later, can I just overwrite C: and leave all the data on D: or will I have to completely start over with a 64 bit Vista upgrade?

ok catalyst 9.3 is out. anyone have any luck getting these to install?
I have been unable to. Mobility modder doesn't work. they changed the inf files for the new unified approach so After much editing and copying pasting I still have 9.2 display driver installed. Anyone with Inf editing skills have any better luck? if so please be my friend and toss up a working Inf file.

Where do i go to uninstall the old driver ? do i do this on the install screen on the 9.3 catalyst ?
So when i reboot it will it automatically install the standard vga driver ?
And then i upgrade that is with 9.3 ?

    Thanks for the help

u can do it via control panel add and remove u can also right click on the my computer go to property go to device manager click on display adopter uninstall that will uninstall it aswell.
also you will need to run something like
driver cleaner and or driver sweeper. to make sure all the ATI stuff is fully uninstall. do you have those programs?

That could very well be the case. Since there is so much misinformation regarding MSI laptops. It has to be lighter though.
I'll give MSI a call on monday and ask them about it. They have been very helpful to me in the past.

Right, i have uninstalled the drivers via the device manager then used driver sweeper to take everything remaining away, however it will not allow me to take 3 programs away.

I then tried to install 9.2 and it is still not returning to normal settings and not recognising that the gpu is there. I then went to the device manager and it come up this: This device cannot start. (Code 10) on the vga section. This is starting to nark me now.

    Typical

    3Dmark06 (on GT725-074 model)

    9.3 no OC - 9272
    9.3 stock OC - 9671

    Few questions:

    1. Is ATI overdrive only used when the Turbo button is pushed, or is that what your card is set at by default before the actual turbo kicks in?

    2. I ran the Auto-tune option and came out to 540/890, does this mean that its running at those numbers without the turbo button pressed?

    3. Is it safe to run the card at 550/900 full time while gaming?
