they don't show in that log file...they post in a browser window once the run is done.

Whoa whoa whoa... I'm having trouble computing this. From what we are seeing, the MOBILE 4850 outscores the DESKTOP 4850 here? See that is arse backwards..that isn't possible or something?
I'm gonna go look for desktop 4850 scores in the meantime, something is...we need a few more games here before we can get too excited. -

Ok check that out, stock 4850 desktop.... not bad
That's xp , lemme get vista.
Ok, he couldn't get the tool to work with vista so... still gives perspective here on how good the mobile 4850 is.
I'm having trouble finding any 4850 reviews with Warhead, since warhead came out a little later than the 4850 it's really hard to find. If anyone can find one as close to the control Faisal posted that would be the best.Attached Files:

Anybody has any idea why my logitech cordless rumblepad 2 is not working with crysis? i install is properly everything seems fine. all the control work in the test but when i lunch crysis the gamepad option is not useable ?
any advise ? -
Those benchmarks look great so far...Soo close to pulling the trigger. But the more I research, the more I expect something coming from the other guys soon too. They just launch new GPUs at CES, so the rest "should" be launching sooner than later right??? I just want whatever the fastest GPU is this year....I'd hate to buy this only to have something faster launch right after I spend all that cash. Aaargh!

Las Vegas (NV) - Today, Nvidia announced a new GPU design and three new processors based on the update. The new GeForce 100M-series GPU design powers the GeForce G105M, GeForce G110M and GeForce GT 130M GPUs, which are 55%, 35% and 17% faster respectively than Nvidia's previous best models in those classes. -
-
, heck they start making new gpu's the second they get done with the previous one. So don't get yourself in a fuzzy over it, just buy what you like; as long as you feel comfortable with the benchmarks it dishes out. In the case of the 4850, you might want to wait for the 4870, or a 4850x2 type solution if you're that worried. Otherwise the 4850 will play ANY game out today, you see those crysis scores they rock but really, who cares about crisis as a game, it's a benchmark like 3dmark06. Crysis is just more of a benchmark game right now; but there are thousands of games out there other than crisis that it will eat alive. Just don't get crazy like I used to be, I realized that you don't have to have the latest and greatest vid card to have a good time. Turn the settings down, turn AA from 16x to 4x, you just have to sacrifice some eye candy sometimes. My friends would call me OCD because of how picky I was about Jaggies, and glittery trees; I always had to have a perfect screen. But I got out of that once I got my laptop, I went from SLI top end cards, to an 8800m GTS.

just try this tool.
hardware over clock benchmark tool

not sure about the mouse. when you say it's not working...what is it not doing? meaning is it showing as an option or a windows game pad option or isn't even compatible with the current game your running... -

ok something is wrong with the first tool is used or maybe this one ? i think we need another gt725 owner to run the bmark with both of these tool and we can be 100% after that -
this crysis would nt reconise it you know when u go into setting u get keyborad setting and gamepad ? the gamepad option is unclick able
-
crysis wont recogonize my xbox controller.
edit: well i haven't tried in a while....
hummm, now your scores are looking more like right...but we shall see...someone else has one, but not sure if he has warhead though...
edit:run ambush and not ambush 2 this time. -
This new buzz on Nvidia's mobile vid cards is all BS, look at where they're compared to.. mainstream consumer pah. So is the g280m going to be the enthusiast?
http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_m_series.html
Also they listed them as being 55% 35% and 17% faster than their previous models... which is just saying they will be faster than the crappy 9500 etc.
are they thinking with this? what a waste of time, are they that Glib? ( lol ) Gt110m .. 16 SPs???? what??? GT105m.. 8??? I mean come on here... trying to compete with intel on that? In my eyes, they just lost some points.. it's like a pro wrestler doing a Martha Stewart show on the side.
Why not just keep the 9100m through 9700m series as the business graphics, and just focus on the g280m series?
ATI is being smart here so far, just a 4850.. and soon a 4870. -
-
As for the rumblepack, it seems like a well known issue in Planet Crysis, but I have yet to find a resolution to it. I'll keep looking though. -
19 puts it right at the 9800m GTX, which makes MUCH more sense -
-
Nvidia's roadmap:
Skip the early 09 die-shrink and wait for the GT200 chips. -
Does MSI take advantage of the extra width of this notebook to make the keyboard larger or does it just add plastic on the sides and keep the keyboard the same size as the 627?
-
-
So...which Crysis Warhead benchmark is more realistic and valid? the first white one or the second black one?
-
For most accurate benchmarks in Crysis, just launch the game, set all settings manually the way you want (1680x1050-all HIGH), save. Then exit game, and run the inbuilt benchmark in Crysis/Warhead folder. Then give those results.
Thanks! -
-
Well, but for Crysis there is. And if you run C.Warhead then, same steps should be made, and use benching tool with same settings as set from ingame.
-
-
Ok, then its like this- to see which tool is more accurate You just have to play the game Yourself and then compare the gamplay with those 2 different tools. And i can bet you can tell then which tools shows more accurate readings
Btw, that Vantage score in your sig. was that with Turbo mode enabled on CPU? And was there OC on 4850 too? -
the vantagebmark there is 2 one which says previous system 5233 was turbo mode
2nd says your system 5624 is turbo mode plus 4850 oc to 550 -
Hey guys. I'm getting very frustrated that this computer has not been released in the US yet! I'm on the edge of purchasing best buy's Gateway P-7805u.
Does anyone have any numbers on how much better the 725 is than this system? This gateway is $200 cheaper, comes with 64 bit vista, and a 9800 gts w/1gig.
I really like the 725, but if there is not much of a performance difference in the two, I think I will just bite it and get the dell, as it is available immediately, and is $200 cheaper.
Any advice? -
I would wait little bit and buy the MSI. Altough Gateway has its advantages, like more video memory for higher resolution with AA and it has 2 HDD bays. And its cheaper- still
-
As far as specs go the ATi has 800 stream processors, which equals 160 of Nvidia's processors; the 9800M GTX has 112, GT has 96, GTS has just 64. -
Ok, so i just got off the phone with frostycomputers and the guy said to me that they would be the first ones in the united states to carry the gt725 and that they are a direct distributer. Also he has spoken to the product manager at msi and it won't be released until the end of march due to some bugs with the ati 4850.
-
-
Or, the frostycomputers guy is making stuff up to get somebody off the phone, which is more likely.
The 9800M GTS has 1GB of VRAM to sucker in people who shop at Best Buy. 1GB of VRAM is only beneficial if you're running at 1920x1200 and up, and quite simply a 9800M GTS does not have the power to run with AA at that resolution in games where the extra memory would actually help. -

wow, this is taking too long
about to pull the plug on an XPS Stuido 16
-
some pepole might want to know this
i just used the laptop on battery in gaming mode but for only internet browsing and a little dowload
gave me 1 hour 45min
could have been a lot more but power saving option was too dull for me
so that an other test out of the way -
faisal, any chance of you running HWMonitor and posting peak load temps during a 3-run Crysis benchmark loop?
I think a lot of us are probably interested in temperatures since that's ultimately going to determine overclocks. -
-
the first one i took wen i just start using
2nd one playing crysis for 5 hours just finish
hopefully this will help let me know -
Hmmm it's not reading your temperatures properly.
And it's not displaying your GPU at all for that matter.
http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/1304/TechPowerUp_GPU-Z_v0.3.1.html
With any luck it will detect it as a lower clocked 4850. Go to the "sensors" tab. -
hummm...check out the 9800m gts in action...dammn, i wish i would have ran that in 1680x1050!!
the gts is beating out a 9800m gtx...lol
i was really looking for a temp with game running, but ill find it later.
best to run crysis in window mode and the temp screen right next to it. then use snipit to get a screen shot after about 10 minutes or so -
-
Yes indeed that one, and it does appear to be detecting your card properly.
Click on the tab that says "Sensors" and post a screenshot". -
