So in lieue of my old comment with the issue, It still hasn't been resolved. I Send it for RMA with MSI Europe 2 times and they said they couldn't fix the issue either and they can't continue repairs, because the computer was modified by the store. Now i'm stuck being thrown back and forth between MSI europe, MSI USA and Gentech PC and still haven't had any solution that fixed the issue. At this point after a whole year of troubleshooting and RMA i decided to ask for a refund, But neither MSI or Gentech PC can provide me this. Does anybody here have any advice?

    The main issues are:
When putting the computer into sleep mode, it won't wake up. I can press anything that i want but nothing happens the computer will stay in sleep mode. I have to shut the computer off by holding the power button down and then turn it back on.

When shutting the computer down through windows: start-power-shutdown. It won't fully shut down. The screen goes black and the computer keeps running as if it's stuck finishing the shutdown.

All games run below 40 frames on turbo/sport and battery mode on high performance or ultimate performance. It goes up to 70 to 80 frames when forcing realtime priority through task manager

I have already done a clean reinstall of windows 10 and all drivers, because i accidentally did a CMOS reset. I have tried adjusting settings in intel graphic center, nvidia control center and the windows power management tools.
i updated the firmware and the bios. During the MSI Europe RMA they replaced the screen twice and removed the RAID config, but the issue still persisted.

Anybody have some advice on this issue?

Out of laziness I decided not to do anything to solve this and this morning Windows suggested me to install an optional driver update from A-Volute. Why not I thought and installed it. It told me to install Nahimic app again and after a reboot it started working again with all sound effects I needed. So yes, it was some outdated drivers mismatch.

This is the first time I managed to solve an issue by doing nothing, I'm so proud of myself, you have no idea how much...

The past 18 months I have wanted to update from the MSI Gt72s 6QE I have. The hot summers were taking it's toll.
I finally picked up on 3rd November a GT76 Titan DT 10sgs. Within 14 days is was a brick and wouldn't even switch on
Contacted MSI Australia and they said a courier will be there that day Friday. Next Friday return, they had replaced a power converter. I had an m.2 card I was going to install myself but they said they would put it in because of my circumstances. I had a great experience with them.
HOWEVER, this notebook is still I think very experimental as in the past month I have updated 3 bios updates. (106,107,108)
There is strange things happening with the charge cycle of the battery. (something I noticed with my old MSI NB, would only start charging if I pulled out power jack for 30 seconds and plug back in).
As soon as I got the NB back from RMA, the NB charge cycle wouldn't charge to 100%. a week later I pulled out the power jack and ran the NB for 1 minute and then shutdown and restarted the NB on power and the charge cycle had started and charged to 100%. That was a week ago and the NB hasn't fully charged again and sits on 90%.
I noticed too, the special adapter to plug in for power is very loose and moves around freely in it's socket.
My friends said why buy a NB gaming laptop with only 60hz refresh rate. I said but it's games played in 4K!
I have a Hisense xp55 OLED TV does 200Hz, playing major games on that have been excellent.
I was fortune enough at the time to get an extra extended warranty on this NB giving me 3 years 3 months. I hope I don't have to RMA this NB again in the future.

Someone else on this forum (Spartan) already gave me the chorus of "That's normal" and "is a feature, not a bug" when I mentioned this exact same thing.

So void of any unknown or incorrect Power Management Settings, the battery not fully charging to 100% is In-Spec and Working As Designed and is added protection to prolong the life of the battery.

The option in the Dragon center app section changing the percentage of the battery charge from 100% to 90% to down to 60%.
I find these setting ridiculous for a high end notebook that would never leave a setup desk or table with a permanent power supplies and after watching what happened to the power converter part replaced I wonder if this battery setup is going to be reliable.

While it is great to see the MSI people spend a bit of time and effort to make their flagship notebook run perfect. I makes one wonder with so many bios updates that, Are they just experimenting with a imperfect rig. Time will tell I suppose.

Of the problems you've listed, this is the only one I have, but my computer does do a failed start up everytime (press the button, but before it leaves the black screen for the Windows boot, it shuts off and then starts up perfect).

It started back sometime in April/May and after about a month of back and forth between I and the tech support at HIDevolution, they asked if I could send it to them to see if it's a defective machine. At the time I couldn't send it in due to school and am unfortunately unable to send it in until probably May of 2021 for that same reason. Hopefully they'll still take it lol

If I remember correctly, sometime around that same period I had a bad update with my Nvidia card that they fixed for me and a forced Windows update that was a little dodgy. Unfortunately, I still have no fix.

Hey I purchased the same laptop (10SGS) and discovered a review stating the screen was the same as the Razer UHD 120hz. In windows settings you can change to 120hz, you will notice the difference in snappiness.

Some users in this thread said they tried out the MSI program "Silent option" for a way of controlling the fans without using Dragon Center.
The program installed properly and did control just the CPU and GPU fans (2 fans not 4 fans).
    File I used.

Under advisement from a comment in this thread I changed the Nvidia 2080 super card settings to "Adaptive" and now the graphics card behaves in a totally different way with the clocks speeds open all the time when it was always set to the lowest settings of 300 - 400.

Has anyone run the Steam VR Performance test tool?
I noticed as the test ran a small double vision test screen the frame rates were 225 on average. It also mentioned in the results the frame rates were not below 90.
If that means the simulation test was for a device attached to the system, would that mean if I attached a second higher frame rate monitor that I would get a better frame rates?

I’d be curious to know what the other 2 smaller fans do when using Silent Option.

I’m using Dragon Center but removed the files it needs to control CPU (the XTU interface files) and the GPU. You retain fan control and other useful things, and it won’t mess with your settings and power limits.

The downside is it will crash when you change profiles (e.g. Sport to Turbo). So I just leave it on Turbo, set a manual fan profile, and use ThrottleStop and Afterburner to control CPU and GPU.

Dragon Center refuses to launch on my laptop, ever since I got it back from repair. I just get a complaint about KernelBase.dll in Windows Event Viewer and it is just fubar.

I've tried reinstalling, no luck. If I clean install Windows it will work initially, but as soon as I play games it breaks again.

Are you installing the full fledged version or the Windows Store version?

Did you ensure to unblock the ZIP file before extracting it??

Full fledged, the Windows Store version doesn't work on this laptop.

Forgive my ignorance, but what do you mean by "unblock the ZIP file", how do I do that?

Hi guys, first time posting here. So I got this problem with my GT76 where I play starcraft 2 and for the first few games the frames would be 400+ and after a few hours the frames would drop to 100 to 180. I have checked the temps. CPU is running at 75 degrees and graphics card at 60 degrees. I have applied a -0.05uv and running 4.7ghz all cores at 1.25v. Is anyone here experiencing the same problem?

    Hello!
Does anyone know if MSI eventually enabled G-Sync for the built in FHD panel with a bios update? Or MSI never corrected this mistake and left this beast without G-Sync?

No Gsync on the internal panel. Not a worry for me as I use external monitors with Gsync, but a problem if you want it on the internal.

Darn, whats up with MSI ?! They even messed up the new GE76...they give discreet graphics card with a MUX switch (to enable Optimus if you want better battery) and an itnernal LCD panel whoch is G-Sync certified and working fine with G-Sync, but they do not write G-Sync license in the BIOS and the NVidia driver does not enable G-Sync because of this ... why ?!
Even if they want to save some money, why not give an option to pay extra and unlock G-Sync? Physically everything is there and only needs a software update ...

Just flashed the AW51 190W vbios. The 200W GT76 did NOT work for my GT63. Weird to me since they are both MXM cards,

    Anyways,

What kind of fan curve are you using with your laptop? Can someone share a screenshot of your fan curve?

    Hello guys!

I`ve bought new GT76 Titan DT 10FS two month ago. Notebook was bought only for gaming, no CAD is being used.

    Configuration is as follows:

    Core i7 10700K
    32Gb DDR4
    RTX 2070 Super

What I`m experiencing is a constant on/off of power from AC during intence gaming. As I understand, this is related to power management provided by MSI utilities. I`ve tried to enable extreme performance and battery 100% charge in MSI`s Dragon Center. But that did not help - I`m still experiencing constant on/off power from AC.

I wouldn`t bother myself with that, but during these power transaction I have a drastic FPS issues. For example, playing Cyberpunk I`m having 100+ FPS without ray tracing. When these transactions occure, I might have FPS degradation to values lower than 20.

How this can be solved? As I understand, I`m not the only one, who have enountered such a problem with modern MSI laptops.

P.S. of course as I have a warranty on this machine, i`ve also contacted support, but I`m waiting for an answer from them to.

    Oh dear, another one.

It's a power delivery issue, and there is nothing you can do about it. The power adapter is faulty. My MSI power adapters do the same thing, the constant on/off while gaming or running a benchmark. I'm sure what is faulty is the junction box that the PSUs connect to, that plugs into the PC. I once plugged the PSUs into it and tested the end tested the end that plugs into the PC (I forget the name of the tool), and it read as no power coming through it

I know it's the adapter and not the PC, because I bought Eurocom's 780W power adapter and the issue disappeared as soon as I plugged it into the laptop.

So tell the to start by replacing the junction part of the adapter.

    Hi everyone!

Does someone have any information on compatibility with intel 11th gen? I heard that the socket was the same.

Currently on a 10900K + rtx2080 super on par with most 3080 laptop

Another question, the vram is constently at 100°C in games. Is it normal ?

    Edit : solved

    Gt76 is not mxm format.

But that's not the problem. The gt76/2080 is optimus. (Gt76/2080S is not)

Have you used the Nividia control area under 3d settings under the global settings and changed the power management mode switch before?
The settings are optimal performance, adaptive and Prefer maximum Performance. Switch to Prefer Maximum Performance and see if there is any difference in your gaming.

Looks like my 2080 just abruptly died yesterday. Disappeared from Device Manager and all monitoring software. Can't install Nvidia drivers as it says hardware not detected. Tried a Windows clean install, did nothing.

Of course my warranty just ended last month.

What a disappointment this laptop has been.

BGA is planned obsolescence. Have you opened up and checked all components around the GPU die for changes? Maybe reset bios to default. Or re-flash latest firmware.
