So is there a way to make all cores work all the time to get stable 3.9? Or should i let it be as it is now? Thanks!

    MSI GT75 8RG-053RU Titan, Black

    Intel i7-8750H / RAM 32GB DDR4 / HDD 1TB + SSD 256GB / 17.3" Full HD LED / GF GTX1080(8192) / WiFi / BT / WebCam / Win10H /

To be honest i am inspecting a strange thing. I like to play Fortnite, but it starts to freez and stutter after 2 gours of gameplay when i play at home with my TV with 60 hz\60fps. When i play somewhere else i play on the laptop screen with 120hz\120fps. And those freezes starts within an hour or so. If restart the game or reboot the computer i have another lag free time. Same amount. Any thoughts what it could be?

I did a clen windows install with Phoenixes guide, added 16 gb more ram - still the same. I am confused. I did a furmark test and there are no lags there after hour two or three. I suppose it is the Fortnite is a problem. But i am afraid that it is my laptop aswell.

So i am learning things and try to do something, thanks to you guys :)

Sorry if i flood the thread by the way.

    1) Please tell me which nVIDIA Driver are you using right now. There has been a bug in the latest nVIDIA Drivers that causes these random stutters which I experienced as well so I went back to the latest nVIDIA Driver by MSI and all was good. nVIDIA GeForce Driver v391.48

    3) Regarding your CPU clock speeds, if you enter BIOS, do you see anything called VR Current Limit in the OC Menu? If you do find it, can you tell me what's your VR Current limit say? I'm not sure that non-HK CPUs have that setting but it's worth a shot to check

Try the driver that'll fix the stuttering.

Now, to keep your CPU clocks stable, increase your VR Current Limit to 800. It's safe, the system will only pull what it needs

The first thing you need to find out is what laptop you have.
Your post and signature do not make sense.
You said that you have a GT75 8RG, but the 8RG has the i9 8950HK model, NOT the 8750H.
    And the lower model, 8RF, has a 8850H, not a 8750H.
Yet your signature says gt75 8rg AND 8750H, which is not a valid configuration.

I believe the GS65 stealth has the 8750H.
So you need to check your configuration and list exactly what you have.

The thermal velocity boost (x50) multiplier "Feature" only applies to the i9 8950HK model also. Not to the lower end ones.

Assuming you are not reaching 99C and thermal throttling, if you want to stop downclocking, you need to:
    1) uninstall dragon center.
    2) reset your system bios (going to load bios defaults should be enough. If this does NOT work, as it failed to work sometimes for a few users, hold down the power button for 60 seconds, release it and wait 2 minutes for the boot loops and full reset).

    3) Set ICCMAX (VR Current Limit) to a value of 800 in the bios.

Do not skip any of these steps. Dragon Center causes bad stuff to happen to your bios settings, and the settings it messes up are hidden to the user unless those options are manually unlocked.

Then do whatever undervolting or whatever you need.

Personally I recommend you manually unlock your bios, Set IA AC DC loadline to 1 (both values) in CPU VR Settings->Core I/A Domain, and then forget about undervolting (setting IA AC DC loadline to 1 prevents any MSI overvolting so your voltages will already be tuned properly, and you won't be getting low CPU Cinebench scores or WHEA correctable errors or idle BSOD crashes from those -200mv undervolts being discussed), and then you can manually OVERVOLT (by using positive offsets) if you are doing manual overclocking past 4.3 ghz or just use a static override set voltage and find what you need, based on your CPU heat and power. Make sure you stay under 90C at any setting and ideally, under 85C if possible. I am not going to help you with unlocking bios settings. You can find the thread by Paloesco yourself in the main MSI section and do your own research. There are two methods to doing it, both are proven safe, provided you do your own research. If you use the FPTW64 + AMIBCP 5.02 method, make sure the FPTW64 version supports your laptop (the last time I checked you needed the "cannon lake" version or whatever one was listed as the highest version on win-raid.com.

Who did you buy this laptop from?
8RG is supposed to have 8950HK.
    http://www.hidevolution.com/msi-gt75-titan-094.html

8RF is supposed to have 8850H.
    http://www.hidevolution.com/msi-gt75-titan-057.html

    Maybe I'm wrong.
But hey I'm wrong quite often these days.

    That's still not a 8750H, though.
MSI and their model name shenanigans .....I swear....

At least the 45W TDP limit can be removed on ALL MSI GT75 laptops.
You can set IMON SLOPE to 50 and IMON OFFSET to -31999 (negative),
And if you get "power limit 1" flag with only 5W being used by the CPU, then hack the EC Via EC RAM register E3.
Change the value in EC RAM register E3 to match the GTX 1080 + i9 8950HK value (which i do not know what that is, someone will have to post their EC RAM screenshot dump with a 8950HK).
Since MSI uses the same mainboard on all of their laptops, it has to respect the ability to exceed the TDP on the unlocked SKU's. (which is why the 7700HQ version of the GT73VR Can also exceed 45W TDP while the GE62 cannot apparently).

Unfortunatly the driver did not help. After 2 hours of 1 play session stutters suddenly appeared. And as far i play the much seriouse they are. Restart the game. And they are gone for about 2 hours again. Magic.

Thank you, i tried that, but it didnt help. At the 120 fps i have an hour lag free, at the 60 fps i have 2 hours lag free. I am confused...

Temps are okay, about 70-80, clocks are fine, i did a memtest, furmark test and intel extreme cpu test. nothing seemed wrong. What else...

8RG, the letter "G" means that come with:

    GeForce® GTX 1080 with 8GB GDDR5X

8RF, the letter "F" means that come with:

    GeForce® GTX 1070 with 8GB GDDR5
    GeForce® GTX 1070 with 8GB GDDR5 SLI

From what i saw, you have models with 8750H+GTX1080 or 8850H+GTX1070 or 8950HK with GTX1080.

I think i have seen that model before, to be exact it is msi gt75 8rg 001PH, with the lowest end processor 8750 and gtx 1080. My country has the same name with those specs, whereas the 1070 version is 8rf 006Ph.

I have 3 m.2's in the notebook, I replaced the blue 1mm TP with 1.5mm TP as stock only had enough for 2 m2's.
I noticed that the contact area is mostly on the OS m2, somewhat on my game m2 and not touching on the storage m2.
Should I be running this notebook without the passive heat sink as the m2's will get better airflow?

for me 1.5mm is a little bit to thick.
change it back to 1mm and check it again.
on my gt75vr i have contact to all ssd's and it is the same passive cooling.

I had even less contact with the 1mm.
This is my temps after 1hr gaming, maxed out settings.
    2018-08-19_103633.jpg
The 2.5" SATA cover is repurposed from the GT73, it has the wrong markings on it for the m.2 slots.
Is this passive heat sink a repurposed item as well?

There are mounts on the base for 4 tabs, mine only has 3. The one that is missing is directly across from the point of most contact. Its lifted.
Do you have 3 or 4 screws holding the HS in place?

your temps are fine. test it without the heatsink should be a little hotter.
    the complete GT73 = GT75VR = GT75.

One side adhesive, to the heat sink.
Cut to fit the M.2 only.

I dont understand the heatsink for the m.2. flash memory wants it warm. its enough to leave the sticker from the manufactors plus additionally adding to the controller chip a thermal pad for example on the underside before mounting.

I like the back of this laptop. great and great review. thanks

temps are perfect, they are still the same as I posted in the benchmarks in the first post, check them out.

The laptop is literally silent all the time unless I open up 50 tabs in chrome in one shot then they spin up a little bit then go back to being quiet. Never had a laptop that operates this quiet in normal day to dy usage and holds the temps perfectly during gaming.

Never tried as the temps with the stock clocks are about as high as I would like them to be so don't wanna push it to the limits and have my fans spinning.

the stock Turbo boost is enough for me

Where do you see AS SSD Benchmark showing the free space?

Sorry I mean, disk space is 6TB on AS SSD and 300GiB in CDM.

Might be that CrystalDiskMark is showing the space of the C: Partition individually whilst AS SSD Benchmark is showing the space of the entire volume that is part of the RAID 0 Array [IMG]

New slightly improved Windows Experience Index, better Primary Hard Disk score after setting up my RAID 0 Array in a 64K Data Stripe vs the old 128K

Nice score bro, never saw this score before. How about the 16K Data Stripe, do you think it will make any difference?

From my benchmarks, 64K provided the best and fastest results. 16K is great for workloads which deal with small random files, 128K is good for large files like videos or people who work with large database files or large photo. 64K is the best balance for performance between small and large files.

Good to know, but I think it will consume more space since the small files with 1~64 will always take 64kb.
