    Hi Team!

Should I upgrade my GPU drivers to 4++? Looking to play BFV V but was told a driver update was needed, but if it will jeopardize my whole systemsys speed I could forget about it.

I never had any problems reverting back using ddu.... so I would say make a restore point/backup just in case and go for it... Older drivers are pretty easily available. I did try 4xx few months ago and it didn't work out very well so I just did a clean install of my fav 391.35. Recently installed 425.31 though and so far so good (I do have other issues with my system but after some troubleshooting they seem bios related and not bothering me enough to mess with it yet - it's just a question of time when I will though).
PS. I am on a pc though now so idk how msi laptops handle new drivers, but ddu has your back.

Thanks for letting me know and also reminding me about DDU (totally forgot about it) , will probably try out the 4xx version and see how it goes.

One thing I noticed though is that ddu does not successfully block driver installation upon reboot from safe mode - windows update is too fast to reinstall a crappy old version these days even if driver installation is not allowed (I just come across the most awesome stuff with anything I own - talk about bad luck). Whether that would or not be the case for others, I strongly recommend to disable windows update in services before using ddu, then re-enabling after you are done installing desired drivers. You will then avoid having to go through the reinstall twice like I had to :D

WU blocking driver isn't applied on 18.0.8.1 DDU. You need to go to options and choose it.

Make sense since windows will look for display driver upon reboot and possibly I could disconnect from internet while doing the whole process. Thanks for the headsup!

I suppose you meant the 18.0.1.1... and I did check that option ^^ Unfortunately windows update appears to disregard anything at all upon reboot into normal mode again. Note that I follow the recommended procedure of clean&reboot in safe mode, then let it boot normally and attempt to install the driver at that time. That works perfectly as long as windows update is disabled (no need to even disconnect the lan cable - going into services and disabling windows update is easier imo), otherwise the installer either fails halfway due to older version being forced upon you (388.xx in my case just 5 days ago or so) OR you don't even have the chance to try to install anything before that thing gets pushed down your throat to swallow.. In the end it's like one never used the ddu at all ^^ Gotta love windows 10.

Hey I just watched your video on the review. You said you don't have Dragon Center installed. So how do you change the colors of the keyboard without the app?

Left alt, right shift, right control, F2, with F2 pressed last.
The only useful thing in the advanced menus are access to the AC loadline setting and the overclocking performance menu (allows you to set an actual manual voltage, although on laptops, "manual" voltage isn't truly manual---it just reprograms the VID to the manual voltage you specified, which is why AC Loadline still affects it immensely--this doesn't happen on desktop boards). Some of the ratio settings in the CPU power management controls may be helpful for some however.

    Hey guys,

I have the 1070 version. I was planning to upgrade to 1080. Do you know which version are compatible ?

Does the original 1080 use the extra power connector (if any) ?

Only the versions with the i9 cpu use the 2 psu combo.
I have the 8750h with gtx 1080 and have only one psu (330W)

I had the GTX 1080 with the 8950HK CPU and the laptop came with 2 power adapters and needed 2 power adapters to give the full performance.

Any idea if the MSI GT75VR Titan really have the ESS Sabre DAC inside? When I fully tear it down today to change the RAM behind the keyboards I did not see the DAC like the GT80:

But where is that big ol ESS Sabre DAC?
