You should be good to go. There was a conflict a while back where Eset changed how they were using an API, and it caused a conflict with ours, so we had to rewrite part of the Killer Control Center to compensate. This was some time ago, though, and that is no longer an issue. If you have any other problems, please feel free to reach out to us directly - http://www.killernetworking.com/about/contact

You'll need an unlocked Bios for that. Svet from MSI forums may help.

Reaally thinking about this computer, but a little off-put by the 3 hour battery life. Is the battery life likely to fall around an hour in ~4 years? And how reliable is that method to get ~6 hours of battery life? It seems to only be working for one person atm

Are there any risk for having an unlocked bios? Is it worth it just for an undervolt or should i just have a repaste

It isn't even a method. I'm just doing whatever it takes to get as little wattage used as possible, which translates as more battery juice. I'm still getting 6.5 - 7 hours after 2 months.

Svet clearly mentions it in his thread. An unlocked Bios allows for modifications (like GPU voltage and TDP), things you currently cannot do, only proceed if you know what you're doing.

Hi guys , i have a problem with my new ge73vr. I use the profile of throttlestop(about ge63vr with copy the folter) but the system is freeze and win 10 don't boot and restart in loop.
I restore with recovery and work well. The setting's ge63vr of throttlestop on this new pc, can it damage the CPU?
    Setting -135.7 mv

As SkidrowSKT stated you would need a custom gpu BIOS but this video provides a way to get your gpu to gaming frequency at a lower voltage point.

    -

It is something you can try with afterburner and if it does nothing for you...... reset it to default.

Hi , i have another problem with the undervolt.
On ge63vr -135mv work well but on ge73vr freeze and reboot.
I tested -150,-130,-135,-140 crash and freeze.
Work without freeze -100mv and -120mv.
    can you help me?
what is the best undervolt for the ge73vr because it is not the same as the ge63vr?

Nope. But you need to find what’s stable undervolt for each processor.

Yeah haha its more like a series of methods. Do you notice any hitches in performance due to your setup?

Also is there any way to bring the screen refresh rate down to 60hz when unplugged?

[QUOTE = "Papusan, post: 10640055, membro: 612304"] No. Ma devi trovare il sottocarico stabile per ciascun processore. [/ QUOTE]
Thank you to replying. But ge63vr and ge73vr have same CPU,
why on ge73vr crasha and on ge63vr does not happen?

CPU clock is capped at 1.2Ghz while under power saving modes, performance is definitely much lower. Not that I need a constant 2.7Ghz while surfing and typing documents. :p

As for bringing the refresh rate to 60Hz, it is possible through the Intel Graphics Settings menu. Creating a custom resolution will allow you to set the refresh rate to 60Hz.

The best undervolt is the one that does not cause a crash. Each CPU is different. One setting does not fit all systems.

On my GE73VR I was not able to run long without a crash while gaming on anything above -120mv. Someone else may be able to have a much higher undervolt because of the CPU that was put in their system or they only surf the internet.

Thanks for the info. I just got the laptop in today, so going to give it it's paces and see how things go. I'll try out the undervolt once I'm sure the rest of it's running okay.

In case you haven't already, then do try cleaning the port. Static can also be caused due to improper connections or dust, etc.

I just tried elevating my GE63VR from the rear with a small book and.... Surprise surprise! Idle/Light usage temperatures dropped by a whooping 4 degrees (From 42 to 38). Launched The Crew at 1080p Ultra settings, steady 68 degrees on CPU and 64 degrees on GPU, auto fans. Running at stock paste!
I was wondering why the temperatures have drastically dropped, and found out the air actually flows quite a lot through the bottom intakes. Elevating will help a lot and I invite everyone to try it.

Yep. If there is a wall behind the desk it's horrid for heat release. And if you have the ability a slight elevation makes a world of difference.

Great idea and possibly cheaper depending on the price of the book your using compared to my solution:

    https://www.amazon.com/Steklo-Aluminium-Adjustable-Portable-Universal/dp/B00VIZ60QY

Elevation does allow more efficient air flow.

On the GE73 I have thought about cutting out the plastic guard slats covering the bottom vents to allow even more airflow. My concern for lower the case strength and something being sucked into the fan have have kept me from actually doing it. o_O

I will never buy a msi laptop again. So much problem. I bought my msi ge73vr raider-066 from newegg.

First i saw a stuck hot pixel but i said it’s ok. And high cpu temperature on idle 45-60 and again i said it’s ok but the third problem is biggest my gtx 1070 never use full power. There is no problem on benchmarks it use %99 of power but in games 1070 use just %60-70 and this is terrible for me.

All i want play battlefield 1 but now i can see max 60 fps on battlefield 1. And there is no difference on low settings. Fps still same. Gpu usage %60 no temperature issue gpu and cpu 70-75 C.

All drivers and windows up to date. I updated bios i try everything. But still i have gpu problem and now i hate msi.

Maybe your fps in game is limited to 60? go in settings and change it if you still have not, there is fps limiter i think.

been playing some games recently and my games have been freezing... playing gta 5 and witcher 3 on high settings. did some research they said could be a possible gpu fault or psu... how do i tell what is the error?

Edit : Fixed it... i think...
Used ddu to remove drivers and clean install with just drivers nothing else
under clocked my gpu with msi after burner... did a quick run on witcher 3 for about an hour went well... will try again when i have more time

Hi , after i received the ge73vr , i test the notebook in everywhere situation.
The coil whine when I play with any games where there are RAM and CPU. The Undervolt -100mv is stable and crash after -110mv .
I have to do RMA -_-
Temp 60-64, 55% cpu, Cooler AUTO , turbo boost disable
65-73 , 55% cpu, cooler auto , turbo boost enable
Are there anybody that it have coil whine(CPU,RAM) on this notebook?

Hi i have ge73 but i dont have any coil whine. and my cpu is running good on undervolt of -130mv.
And for the coil whine, i read somewhere in MSI official forum that if you disable cpu-c states in bios, it goes off. give it a try.

    Hi everyone,
Just bought this MSI Ge73vr and checked its battery with HWMONITOR. It shows 11% wear on a new laptop.
Is it normal or my device is defective?

    Thank you for your reply!
Actually, I mean a physical capacity, not charging level. Charging level is at 98%, which is ok.
The designed capacity of my battery is - 53,236 mWh, but full charge capacity is 47,686 mWh, which is 89.6%. I think my battery is defective, because my previous new msi GT laptop also had 12% wear. I think there is a major issue with their batteries. Can you please check yours? Thank you!

My battery wear about 2-3% only. You should clarify with your seller about this. See what they can do for you

My laptop came with the same battery wear indicated by HWMonitor. I don't really care since eventually I will attempt a battery mod to replace the cells.
