I mailed GentechPC, they are guessing that the Raider will have better cooling than GL503VS.
Also, with the 120Hz 3ms screen, I prefer the raider. It also has the NVidia Optimus, which doesn't work with G-Sync

It depends on the features you'd like to have in the laptop. Does the ASUS have 2 SSD slots? The Raider does. And with Optimus + Bloatware Free Windows 10, I am able to completely disable the dGPU (By opening the Nvidia control panel and leaving it open with iGPU mode selected, it should show a white light indicator), hitting 6.5 hours on battery in classes (Wifi surfing and writing documents), which is GREAT. The speakers are excellent as well, I love how loud and crisp they sound, and the surround feel is satisfying to hear.
The 120Hz screen is a blessing, but keep in mind some games are capped at 60fps by default. If the games you play are not, then you MUST see it by yourself.
The unit I'm currently using is the replacement I've received after a faulty screen (dead line of pixels). Working perfect as of now :)

Thanks for the insight! The games I play do go over 60fps but I think the better speakers and longer battery life are the winning features for me. :)

Check out this review. It's very recent (1 day old, methinks)

It's a good laptop. Bad battery life and meh cooling are the main drawbacks, if those worry you, the GE63VR still has a high refresh rate, but sports Optimus and an insane cooling solution.

How do you select iGPU mode on nvidia control panel to completely disable the dGPU and get the 6.5 hours of batter life?

Set both the preferred GPU and Physx GPU to iGPU and watch the power inducator, if it's white then you're on iGPU mode. If you do this and still have the orange color, go to sleep mode and turn the laptop on again - It should work. There is no way to physically switch GPUs in optimus laptops, but I can manage to keep the white light for more than 6.5 hours. It used to beat 7 hours a month and half ago.

It's the power indicator; the led is on when the laptop is turned on. MSI has made a cool feature where the light turns orange when the Nvidia GPU is on, and turns white when the Nvidia GPU is off.

Oh right okay, and when you talk about changing the physx one do you mean going to the physx tab and picking the CPU as preferred one?

Yeah, by changing both and running on power saving modes, the dGPU will hardly turn on (unless you click on the battery icon, it freezes for 2 seconds and the light turns orange and then switches back to white. Microsoft hasn't fixed this yet)

I bought myself an msi gx63vr-ne1070 from newegg recently. Specs are the exact same as a GE63VR Raider.
    Link to product: https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834154732

Played a couple of different games and noticed that my fps in Pubg and CSGO are relatively low and unstable. Pubg was going anywhere from 30-80 fps and csgo around 120-160 fps. Changing in game settings didn't seem to have much effect on the fps. I've seen multiple videos of other laptops with pretty much the same specs (GL502vs) with much better fps in both games. (70-130 in pubg, and 200+ in csgo)

I've tried pretty much every fix I could possibly think of.
    - Latest Nvidia drivers / Default MSI nvidia drivers (changed all settings to prefer maximum performance/high performance, vsync off, etc.)
    - All drivers are updated
    - Both the windows 10 the machine came with, as well as currently running the bloatware free windows 10
    - Power settings on high performance
    - CPU undervolted by 130mv, temps are good (CPU: 70, GPU: 66 at full load, stock paste)

Userbenchmark results are all above expectations or way above expectations.

One thing that came to mind is that the RAM is a single channel 16GB stick. I've noticed that running RAM in dual channel seems to be much better, but I don't think the changes in fps should be this drastic.

Anyone have any idea what else I can attempt to try, or perhaps there is something wrong with my laptop?

I own the GE63VR 7RE-013XFR which I got from RueDuCommerce (Carrefour France). Comes with no OS installed and a single DDR4 8GB stick.
My FPS in every game I've played was rock solid (Capped at 120 or 60 if the game is hard capped), usually hovers between 105 and 120 (ETS 2 running at 1080p high settings and 150% scaling, Grid 2 at 1080p ultra settings, TDU 2 at 1080p high/ultra, rest of the capped games never go under 58).
I'm using the drivers shipped with the laptop (It comes with no OS but the drivers partition is there) and an undervolt of 135.

I'll get back to you once I get it myself.
Since PES isn't too demanding, try disabling Turbo boost and test the temperatures, they should go under 60.

Ordered mine from newegg and have it shipped to a friend in the US and have him do diagnostics?

What are the basic things to run to check everything is fine before getting it shipped to my country?

    - dead pixels and light bleen on the screen
    - temps (what software to use?)
    - test games and see fps

1- There shouldn't be any bleed on the screen. Bleed is most frequently present on IPS-Level panels. At least mine has zero bleed. As for dead pixels, if the screen presents a defect, it should be noticeable in day 1. My first unit developed an entire vertical line of dead pixels after 24 hours. Swapped it for a new unit, been perfect ever since.
2- I use HWinfo64 during benchmarks and MSI Afterburner while gaming. Greats monitors and can be easily customized to your liking.
3- Again, MSI Afterburner, can track and cap FPS.

Did you do any stress test on it?

I recently had some bsod even after a 4hr stress test. It crashed while running a some light multi tasking of chome and some other stuff... idk why
... had to up the voltage.. now running -.120. Did a 8hr test overnight. Hopefully it will stay this way.

That's pretty lucky. Have you done stress tests under this undervolt? I can't seem to hit a stable run at 140. 145/150 crash under gaming loads.

Hey guys... have been having some bsod just by surfing the web. The code is bad_pool_caller. From what i read online there are people having cause of conflicting software/ drivers. Eset and killer performance suite... both which i have. Should i just uninstall the killer performance suite? Will it affect my wireless performance?

*just updated the killer driver.... hoepfully it wont happen again

I do not believe. I checked the screen every day and did not clip any bad pixels or sub-pixels. appeared exactly 10 days later as the other. I have purchased the ge63vr on amazon and according to their 80% rendered estimates of this series with this screen has this problem. I would say take the ge73vr that has a different screen.

Just ordered the GE63VR-075 since it was on sale in Amazon. It's currently being shipped and got lost in Kentucky, but should be here tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing how it does. My only big concern was over the fan noise, but was hearing a lot of conflicting reports and I wear headphones when gaming.

Question for everyone here. Do you see most of the fan noise and heat coming from the CPU or GPU, and has undervolting the CPU helped much with that?

Yes undervolt helps. I only get fan noise when gaming. I've played Rocket League, Starcraft 2, CS:GO, and PUGB, but I don't think my fans ever went to 100%. The Cooler Boost button turns fans to 100% and I've definitely never heard it get that loud. Temperature difference is pretty big for CPU undervolt, so fan speed will be lower.

There is nothing wrong, even the power adapter on my GT62VR does that. Don't worry and try not to break the pins by forcing it.
