That is easy...take the cheapest one!
MSI will load up the MSI GE63VR RAIDER-001 so that when you match the MSI GE63VR 7RF Raider-075, the -001 will be more expensive. Always start with the least expensive one that has the screen size, CPU and GPU you want, then customize it from there.

I can not emphasize enough - but if you guys are in the market, buy from Gentech, buy with confidence, and get the CLU upgrade on the GPU and CPU. My temps are around 60's while gaming, GPU is in the 50's. I could run a custom vBIOS on the GPU to increase the voltage and push it further if I wanted there's SO much headroom on the thermals. The CPU gets up to 80 during encoding 4K video but never above the 85 mark no matter what I've thrown at it.

This is my latest runs last night on Time Spay. There are only 4 ish other laptops that have benched better, and they were alienwares that had I'm assuming custom vBIOS, or they were using a graphics amplifier in some cases. -

After two months of being in repair, I'm finally getting my GE63VR back...
They replaced parts that caused the abnormally high temperatures.
What should I do when I get the laptop back? Install bloatfree windows edition? Or just set it up through pre-configured MSI OS and then use O&O?
Thank you... -

Also, they replaced the parts? Why couldn't they just give you a different unit? When I RMA'd my first ge73vr from GenTechPC, they just sent me back a different (new) unit. I checked the serial number to be sure.
ATTENTION:
I think I will try a battery capacity mod for my ge73vr. When I opened the case, I noticed that access to the battery cells looks very simple, since the cells are visible. Once I get time, I will take out the battery module, assess the difficulty in replacing the battery cells for higher capacity ones, then do a lot of research. I have a 1 TB NVMe SSD, powerful CPU/GPU, good scream, 32 GB RAM. The only thing missing is the battery life! There are tons of available rechargeable lithium 18650 (I'm assuming this is the size that the Raiders use, I still need to check) with larger capacity that, when put into 2-serial 2-parallel (6 cells total), would easily be more than the modest stock 51 Whr.Last edited: Nov 15, 2017 -

I've tried out the Bloatware-free version, but it really bugged me having to leave Windows Update turned off. With O&O, sometimes certain programs need to be re-installed, I can just temporarily turned off O&O, then re-enable. You should still do a clean install of stock Windows 10. Installing the drivers is not that long.

I tryied to unistall and install again, this resulted in a not possible to enable card (stays disabled forever)...tryied drivers on killer site...got even worse by getting to the initial point (This device cannot start. (Code 10)).
Any thoughts on this??Click to expand...
- Download or otherwise load the latest Killer Control Center installer onto the machine (you may need to use a USB thumb drive or some other medium if you can't access the Internet with the machine).
- Right-click Start, click Apps and Features, and find all entries with "Killer" in the title, and uninstall them. This includes "Killer Drivers" or "Killer Suite" or any variations. You can hold off on restarting for now if an uninstaller says to do so.
- Close Apps and Features and right-click Start and click Device Manager.
- Find the Ethernet adapter under the Network Adapters heading, right click it, and click Uninstall Device. If you cannot find it, you may need to click View > Show hidden devices at the top of Device Manager. It may also be listed somewhere other than under Network Adapters.
- Check the box for Delete the driver software for this device if it is present.
- Click Uninstall.
- Click the light blue Scan for hardware changes icon at the top of Device Manager. The adapter will probably reappear, and may or may not still show a Code 10, but I would suggest continuing with this guide either way.
- Repeat steps 4-7 until you no longer have the option to Delete the driver software for this device. Note that you could keep doing this indefinitely, as Windows will always install a default driver, but once you can no longer Delete the driver software for this device, you have accomplished the goal of clearing out all of the drivers that we were trying to clear out, so you're done by that point.
- Restart the computer by clicking Start > Power > Restart. Do not rely on the machine's power button as many modern computers have that button set to sleep, not power off.
- Once the machine has restarted, run the installer for the latest Killer Control Center. If everything doesn't look perfect, restart the machine after the installation, even if the installer did not say to do so.

What drivers are absolutely necessary? (ie: I can imagine you need the dragon center in order to select the kind of performance you want, fan noise etc)
Anything else I should definitely install after a clean windows installation? (Maybe niantic audio driver?)

Hey @Phoenix do I simply install ALL drivers from https://www.msi.com/Laptop/support/GE63VR-7RF-Raider#down-driver&Win10 64 after a clean windows install?
(I also noticed this page lists KillerLAN, but I thought I originally had another driver for wifi/lan)

2. Install Nahimic if u want to customize the audio. Install realtek before Nahimic
3. Steelseries Engine Software for LED and Maybe Fn keys to work(not sure)
4. Dragon Centre like you said, Fan, performance, etc
5. Touchpad driver

The latest and greatest is usually better.

I have bought the product similar to below to add an additional monitor:
https://www.amazon.com/USB-Type-HDM...1510940010&sr=8-3&keywords=usb+type+c+to+hdmi
It seems that the additional monitor (which is a 2k monitor) is not able to work. The usb port in the adaptor works though.
I am beginning to suspect that the usb 3.1 gen 2 type c port in this laptop is not capable of producing video (believe it's alternate mode?).
Has anyone successfully tried using the type c port for an extra monitor?
I have updated the ASMedia drivers to the latest August drivers.
P.s. The adaptor is probably not faulty as it works with my Galaxy 8 phone to the monitor. -

For basic network connectivity, you can use our driver installer or install the drivers yourself using our .INF files. I would not suggest using the drivers that Device Manager currently installs as we have been receiving many reports of these drivers causing Code 10 errors recently.

However, I have never had any problems out of it as far as problems with the card such as the Code 10 error you were talking about before. It has always just worked and it doesn't bother me at all not having the software component since I don't use it anyway. Where I am at right now I have ****ty internet. -
I'd never dare to install the latest Killer "stuff". Having done that the last time (before returning the lemon), everything became so slow and both the wifi and ethernet were continuously disconnecting and reconnecting.
I'm currently using the driver-only file provided by MSI with the laptop. Working flawless, never upgrading.fiche likes this. -

New error: BSOD, Whea error usually an indication of a failed overclock or undervolt to memory or cpu. However neither were overclocked during these errors, and it happened twice in a row upon dying in PUBG which is extremely cpu intensive. Thoughts?

So yea of course you need all the drivers but
Chipset (i read somewhere that it already come pre-installed with windows 10), better to install. i installed it too
If u have intel bluetooth driver. you dont need killer bluetooth driver. same purpose
And i did not installed killer driver or killer suite and i do not see any increase/decrease of performance in any games such as dota 2, CSGO, battlefield 4 and tekken 7. all games are online. -
